  1. The ladies DJ is one of my wife's favorites. Can't wait to see the upgrades.
  2. Francisco, Can you show what the bottom of the punch looks like? Is it a concave jewel pusher? Also, what about when the hour and minute hands get sloppy loose? What would you use to tighten them?
  3. That was happening to me for a while. It seems to have stopped lately. The only way I found was to re-boot Windows. It's a pain in the azz and hopefully somebody has a better answer.

    Wow

I think that's one of those"old wife's tales", that they will take it away. Still VERY wrong. But, should you be foolish enough to send it into a Rolex service center for service, I wouldn't be surprised is you didn't get it back.
  5. Can I stump the experts here? I came across this set of hands that has absolute beautiful vintage lume. Does anybody have an idea from what brand of watch these are from. Or, what kind of watch I could use them on that would look good.
  6. Thanks, I put it on a gen Jubilee bracelet since the picture. Frankenjusts are such great watches for the money. Like yours also.
  7. Your taste is impeccable!
  8. Very little improvement. Search Fransisco's section for a complete write up on it.
  9. Just curious! Don't you guys use any adhesive on the inside of the glass. I used a small bead of GS hypo cement for added water tightness. It's at least passed the swimming pool test.
  10. March is totally out of the question. I'll take bets that nobody receives one by the end of June. I'm at the head of the list and I'll be surprised if it gets here before next Christmas.
  11. I have no answer to your question as I sold my older version months ago and hated it. But I am curious as to why the two are both supposedly the "Ultimate" version, and yet the Asian is more expensive than the Swiss. Makes no sense.
  12. Hope the whole batch isn't printed like that. Could just be one bad dial.
  13. I'm not sure but I think they might be year around residents. I've never researched it. I think they were just a species that was on the brink of extinction like the whooping crane and now they are making a comeback. When I see them they are so tall I just figure they could easily peck your eye out. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
  14. We see them out in some of the developments out west of town here in West Palm. It's kind of amazing to see one, they're so big. I wouldn't get too close. They could hurt you.
  15. Nice job. What jumps out at me is the case back is way too shiny for a 30 year old watch. It needs some very fine sandpaper or steel wool, or whatever else you have laying around.
  16. I always take priority packages to the Post Office. That's the only way to get them scanned right away. Leave them in the mailbox and they probably won't get scanned until they reach the sorting center and possibly until they leave it. I wouldn't worry about it.
  17. Since the pictures are still showing on TRC, I thought I'd bring them over here. The grooving is quite noticeably different on the gen, as is the color of the metal. It also shows the two different types of pushers that you mentioned, Freddy. DW: Genuine:
  18. Thank you. From that second link mine do appear to be genuine.
  19. I'm confused! "The steel pushers......are the same Rolex currently supplies". And "Rolex uses a much higher quality gold". Are they steel or gold? Are you talking about white gold or did you mean higher quality steel? I'm interested because I have a DW 6263 that supposedly has gen pushers. I have no idea how to tell the difference.
  20. Come on Dems, that's not what I said. Don't put words into my mouth. Josh is still one of my favorite dealers.
  21. According to the powers that be at RWI, Josh was using his clout to muscle out some of the smaller dealers. I wouldn't be too concerned. He's still a highly trusted dealer on all the other forums. He's generally a few dollars more expensive but his customer service is definitely one of the best. Also, he's great for the first time buyer since he's very quick to respond and take care of problems.
  22. He's still in Thailand. Very sick I've heard.
  23. Yes, the same movement. Buy the Eta DJ and you're good for a good while and then it can be rebuilt.
  24. It looks like it's got a better insert and pearl than most of the Sub reps.
  25. I would be more concerned taking a genuine older Sub diving than a new Noobmariner. I could afford to replace the Noobmariner. Grease the seals and make sure everything's tight and you SHOULD be good. If you have doubts, have it tested. Besides, you look kind of foolish wearing a Sub to the beach and having to take it off to jump in the water.
