  1. I'd be in, but you're better off doing it at the beginning of the month instead of the end.
  2. Agreed. Glasgow, however, has even better ones. Come up and try some.
  3. Nothing wrong with CTM, but I usually order something from the spicier end. Having said that, CTM makes great lunch when you need to go back to work for the afternoon, if you know what I mean. When you need something less bowel-rending than a Vindaloo, and you can't bring yourself to order the Kashmiri Korma, CTM is there to fill the lunch gap.
  4. Actually, it was Scotland, but yeah, you're right about the taste. It was a Scotsman that ordered Chicken Tikka with a gravy in a Glasgow restaurant, so the restaurant took a tomato soup and added Indian spices. Bingo, CTM, the most popular meal in Britain. The Balti was invented in England, however; Birmingham to be precise. Oh, and in Glasgow, they don't generally like their curries mild.
  5. AP is good enough for watch shots. Once you've got the lighting as you want it, the only things left to play with are aperture and ev.
  6. Rule number one: Aperture Priority, every time. If my selector was broken and stuck on Aperture Priority and broken in every other setting, I don't even know if I'd notice.
  7. The light is better, but the DoF is worse. Still, it's getting closer. Whatever you did to get the Deville shot, keep doing that. You've got some fun ahead of you and I for one will be looking for your new pics.
  8. Nope, that's the same shot.
  9. It looks like you're getting lots of blown-out highlights. Are you sure you've set the light meter to the right setting? Try dropping it 1/3ev or 2/3ev and see what happens. Once you've locked in the settings on this rig, you're going to get some amazing shots. That Deville shot is superb.
  10. Ah, finally, pictures of the beast. Nicely done, mate.
  11. So the drive is a copy of a working drive, in the same slot as the working drive booted from?
  12. Oh, your disk name will have changed. Damn. It's probably change from ad0 to sa0 if memory serves, as BSD uses a SCSI driver to handle SATA disks. Off the top of my head, I can't remember the boot commands to manually load the kernel, but it's doable.
  13. Get a gen something. If you like Subs, and it looks like you do, then get one.

Amazing purchase. You're making me consider getting my credit card limit upped, and that's a BAD thing.
  15. I have a Dainese wallet with hardly any branding on it. It's black leather and it holds everything I need. Simplicity yet quality without being overstated. Non-bikers won't even recognise the brand.

Great choice. THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICTURES!
  17. Before I studied the art, a watch to me was just like a watch. After I learned the art, a watch was no longer a watch. Now that I've understood the art, a watch is just like a watch. (apologies to Bruce Lee)
  18. I would buy a Sub, even after having owned (or perhaps because of having owned) reps. I would buy an IWC (insert every decent model here) and I would buy an Omega (one down so far). Breitling, yes, I would ... in fact, any decent rep, if I could afford it, I'd buy a gen, even a Panerai. In fact, Mrs Pugwash reckons if I were to spend a few grand on a watch, it should be a Panerai. However, If I ever get to Ubi's Frankenskill level, I may reconsider. That, on the other hand, will take a while.
  19. is no longer selling stuff to pay for a Moon Watch.
