  1. ... and Hammond has a Sub. First Rolex on the show, so far.
  2. Ah, but I don't think I've been here for a few months. Normally I read OT more than I do Hublot posts.
  3. I'd like to add my (late) voice to the "Very Nice!" crowd. Excellent job, what a beauty.
  4. Yeah, Twitter has probably done more damage to forums than ... um, yeah, something else that's not done as much damage as Twitter. That sentence worked out well.
  5. Thanks guys, sorry I missed this post first time round. Love the cake and the ... um, the cake presenter.
  6. I've now got a large pile of stems long enough for any watch apart from UPOs with gen crown/tubes. The problem is that I've got 2 UPOs that need stems. Does anyone have a source for really long 2824/2836 stems? HALP!
  7. Quartz: When you're after something cheap, disposable and practical. Mechanical: When you're after a watch.
  8. Are we supposed to still not post anything here?
  9. Most photographs you see of anything are photoshopped. Photoshopping is merely the last stage of taking a photo.
  10. I plug notes into Garageband and get some retarded versions of what could charitably be described as 'music' out of it. I doubt anyone would ever try to play it with real instruments, though.
  11. It's much more important on 42mm POs than it is on UPOs as the UPO wheels are close enough, unless you've got the dial off already.
  12. Tube removed from a 4th 42mm Planet Ocean Tube removed from a 45mm Ultimate Planet Ocean Genuine tube fitted to a 4th 42mm Planet Ocean Genuine tube fitted to a 45mm Ultimate Planet Ocean
  13. I use a 22mm BOB For Breitling myself. Excellent quality and does the job. On my Speedy and 42mm PO, I use a 20mm BOB. Only recent pic I've got, I'm afraid.
  14. On the plus side, the optics are class-leading and the picture quality is, from the samples I've seen, top-notch.
  15. ETA 2802 2557.1 Date Ring 3 o'clock White Figures on Black Background (ETA280225571WB3) http://www.cousinsuk.com/searchresults.aspx?searchtext=ETA280225571WB3
  16. Only with a kinked hypotenuse, I bet.
  17. If you don't need a huge zoom, the LX3 is the best in that price range. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicdmclx3/ However, like Freddy333 implies, anything by Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, etc., will give you excellent results.
  18. Any factor of nine breaks down to nine. We know we have a factor of nine because we took whatever number you had and multiplied it by three, making it a factor of three, added three, still a factor of three and multiplied it by three again, making it a factor of nine.
  19. I'm going to go with Genuine ETA on this one, as well. I'm sure one of the genuine ETA winding sections I swapped out looked like that.
  20. Agreed. It's the most insane solution possible.
  21. You're not going to get a copy without taking it apart and measuring it precisely.
  22. No gen Datewheel? Dirt cheap on CousinsUK and worth doing if you've got the dial off already.
  23. Not here in Glasgow, it's not. We have several.
