  1. I have a tool I call Joe. This is where I would open the case up and use Joe.
  2. Another with the agreeage. The Tin Haddock's bracelet is considerably easier than the Planet Ocean's. The SFSO bracelet requires one screwdriver. The PO requires a pin, a hammer, some patience and possibly a bruised thumb.
  3. I think I agree. I will put the insert from the 1665 on it for the next batch of pics, and see if it looks better.
  4. Yup, I got some Rodico from there, and I think a pair of white gloves and a hand puller.
  5. This shows that for some reason the datewheel isn't advancing as well as it should. Best fix that today. The 1665 full frontal isn't as exciting as the CGs are untouched. Still, here's a pic: I'll take a full frontal next time.
  6. Just fixed up, so it's time to wear it: That's Friday sorted, but I've no idea for tomorrow or Sunday.
  7. Wait until I've done the crown guards ...
  8. Correct.
  9. I like it. There's no need for multiple windows.
  10. 45mm Planet Oceans require a 22mm NATO. Subs require a 20mm NATO. I get mine from Time Factors: http://www.timefactors.com/nato.htm
  11. I cut a groove in the end of my rep tube and used a screwdriver. Yes, it makes the tube unusable, but I broke a file trying to remove it and thought it deserved it.
  12. Ok, here's how it is. I have a 1680 and 1665. Both of them are MBW-alikes, being picked up from that stall in Bangkok that supplies the guys that sell MBWs. They're both modded with gen parts and they're both fully working, which is important if you know that both 2836 movements had issues with winding and date changing stuff. So, here's what's in them: 1680 Gen Crystal Gen Crown Gen Tube Acrylic Pearl and modded insert (from Repaustria) Pugged ( ) Crown Guards 1665 Gen crystal Gen pearl Ubi Datewheel The 1680 was supposed to have a 2846 movement (the 2836 it arrived with was DOA) fitted, but I kinda ... um, yeah ... I pinged the winding ratchet spring across the room. I also tried one of Ubi's datewheels, but the magnification was a little high under the gen tropic and the printing was visible. Anyway, I've taken a picture, but I've not got enough light for a good one. I hope this will do.
  13. Great review.
  14. Don't you have to be British for that? @Dutchy: Dude, you look like a graduated chick.
  15. Nickel plated ETA? Yup. Make sure the dealer is advertising an ETA 2836 and not an "Asian ETA Copy" or similar.
  16. Post a photo of your deployant as I'm not sure what the problem is.
  17. The chrono posts are in the wrong place for the AP.
  18. The GST has this too.
  19. Insanity? THIS IS SPART...um, I mean Rolex.
  20. Every time an obviously new watch goes on the site, we seem to have one of these threads expressing disbelief that Trusty can be selling something for an obviously placeholderish $8,888. Does the lack of description and weight of 10lbs not kind of hint that the correct info hasn't been entered into the database yet?
  21. I have a Casio compass digital for camping duty. It's not pretty, it's not mechanical and it's not analogue. However, it's damned good at what it does. Your watch is much prettier, though. I've wanted one for a while.

  23. Banned? You sure you're banned? You show up as a regular member over there. http://replica-watch.info/forum/profile.ph...file&u=6344
  24. Were your posts breaking the rules? If so, this would explain why they would be edited.
