Hear hear. Unfortunately, that'll put the kaibosh on that SeaHawk. Still, there are plenty of options that use the movements listed, and I'm sure we'll have more than enough to not reach a concensus.
-
Neither of which contain the movements described. Well, I was waiting for someone else to suggest it so I didn't sound like a total IWCite, but here's the one I want: Yes, the bezel is a challenge.

Fortis. Do a Fortis GMT. or http://www.fortis-watch.com/en/collection/...er/content.html http://www.fortis-watch.com/en/collection/pilot/content.html

I rate Fortis watches exceedingly highly. For a good price, you can get titanium, tritium, sapphire, ETA 7750s ... and they look damned good. I nearly bought one in Bangkok. I also reckon they'll creep up the prices if people catch on.

I don't see what the problem is. I blatantly want that wallet/pen/links combo.

Oh? I think several on-board rivalries could be sorted with an old-fashioned pit-fight. If it's your first time at fight-club, you have to post. ps. You didn't even recognise the 45-and-a-shovel quote?
-
I've been changing watches sometimes twice a day this week, but currently I've settled on this one: ps. Expect a new wrist-shot technique very soon ...

Thinly veiled? This is written on spec for the brief we were given. It's a blatant PoM entry.

How did RWG change my life? When I first joined the replica community, I came by way of TRC and joined RWG and RWI a short time afterwards. In the early days, I saw this forum described as stepping off the pavement into moving traffic and this echoed my sentiment perfectly. However, at some point, you need to take the bullet by the horns, bite the bull, or whatever, and jump in. It took a while to get past the cliques and in-jokes that people brought with them from the failing old site, but once the barriers were broken down, I got to see that most of these people were as bewildered and as lost as I was. I learned a lot. Here, more than any other forum, I learned the technical side of the hobby from reading The Zigmeister's work and following people like Ubiquitous, By-Tor, TTK, V and the moderators and admins of this place. I got into taking wristshots and posted my photo tutorials here and people actually read them and I started feeling like I was part of a community. Slowly but surely, I started posting more and more here, instead of restricting myself to the more sedate and easier to digest RWI. My confidence grew and the research got easier and easier. People started recognising my posts and I realised that I had accumulated quite a lot of knowledge, thanks to my odd memory, and I just couldn't keep my views to myself. I've made a lot of friends and rubbed a few people up the wrong way as well. I've improved my skills as a photographer and helped a few people withb theirs as well. I've met some genuinely decent people, both online and in person, and had my eyes opened on a few things. I've seen watches I didn't know I'd love, and seen ones I knew I'd hate. I've clarified and distilled my tastes and surprised myself along the way. I've invented new words that are now part of the landscape and introduced long forgotten ones. I've seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of ... no, wait, that wasn't me. I've marvelled at FrankenTonas and giggled at blade-crowned Urinors. I discovered IWC on this very forum and ranted about Panerai to the same readers that are reading this. I've seen Alaska, China, New York, Hong Kong, Central Europe and more, all through the eyes of other RepHounds, without leaving my browser. I've won PoMs, lost arguments, challenged members and been challenged. I've designed T-Shirts, garden signs and Miss Understood in bondage and robots. Most importantly, RWG has taught me a little about myself I would never otherwise have learned, and for that I am most grateful. I've also learned the importance of brevity, and because of that, I'm sparing my dear readers more of my catharticism and ending here.

Yup, no amount of sense and proof will change his faith.

Meet in a pub/restaurant or meet in a carpark with a 45 and a shovel?
-
Us urbanites can get that too, only in a completely different way. I get jaded with Paris and then, one day, crossing the river, catch a glimpse of the Seine with the sunlight, some landmarks and awesome beauty and it floors me. I always think of Ferris Bueller in this case: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it." ... so go ahead, take a day off. ps. I'm going to visit. I can't not.
-
I'd not like to put five people above any others, to be honest. It's too ... cliquey. Very playgroundy "will you be my bestest best friend?" I've met most of the Paris contingent and I've met TTK and Narikaa. Next up, I'll meet the Glasgow contingent, most likely. So far, everyone has been cool. ps. Yes, I know I just put my self near the bottom of TT's list with the playground comment, but it made me smile.

"Important: Do not set the date* and/or the day* between 10 pm and 2 am (the movement is in the process of changing the date at these times)." - Mido "It is recommended not to change the date between 10 PM and 2 AM." - Doxa "Do not change the date between the hours of 10pm and 2am." - Zodiac Two minutes on Google got me those. All 7750s, all real Swiss gens.
-
Obviously. Well, it's as much cheating as any composer, to be honest. You still have to write the damned tunes.
-
That'd be because they have to read through a page of poorly-written right-wing propaganda before the debate starts.
-
Ok, this is a flaw. I'll have to rethink the way I express it.

Midi keyboard, plugged into a G5 Mac running GarageBand. It's like playing the piano, but with the ability to correct your 'spelling mistakes' afterwards.
-
We did, when we first heard it. ps. It's Rik Mayall.

I'll give you that one, apart from the art. Destroy a Picasso and all the other Picassos increase in value. Sure, you can destroy wealth, but you can't create it. Ok?
-
I hate that whole guilt thing too, as it makes out capitalism is evil, which it isn't in my view. However, you're mistaking my discussion about wealth for a discussion about money.

In my limited experience, if it's going to die, it does so in its first week or so of use.
