  1. what about 382s Jojo, i am half way there
  2. Thanks Aligoat, if any one is looking for either of these end links let me know, were 380s ever repped I would be happy with another 382 if any one has one for sale
  3. Bob do i see an 8mm brevet crown in there or is the the plastic bag making it look bigger
  4. Both are 28800, there should be some reports soon on fiting the 2893 into GMTCs from the ones i have sold, you never know they may just fit perfectly!
  5. With the ones i have on hold i still have 6 left no thanks to Honkytonkman Mctower DVN Maximilian HPY540 x2 so if any one wants one just get in touch
  6. They should just pop out if you can see the slots in the retainer plate Dom.
  7. what movement is in it? ETA or asian 21j?
  8. I have one 382 and one 501B end link does any one have a spare they would like to swap, i would prefer a 382 or if some one has a spare set that would suit a 1680 like 503b let me know
  9. Stops them nicking the parts and making them them selfs. But not the soul that you think about with the big names is it, I say use the smaller manufactures that do put some soul in every watch, Funny thing in Basel i was questioning a small brand about their movements knowing full well where they came from but when i asked who made it the answer was "Oh we do all in house" So i walked off muttering lying barstuards
  10. On this topic i was just searching cousins and i found what looks to be a 2813 with a rolex date wheel overlay, i have ordered one and will let you know when i have it, what it is
  11. I like the concept but why do they insist on those ridiculous pusher guards and huge crown
  12. Well at least i dont get a slap for looking, but i think was just a casual observation.
  13. Doc you seem to have the best way there, personally i was going to put a 172 dial in a 177 case and that would be that until i read the post (and the cooker was still hot from dinner) Avitt would be able to do the DLV/PVD he has been a bit of a magician in the past with DLC I am going to leave mine as it is now.
  14. thanks TJ and i haven't forgot I owe you, remember if you need any thing in the mean time just ask.
  15. A new for me Double red, got it yesterday and broadened my modding skills with a lug drilling and then did two other cases and a crown guard mod (how do they look for a first attempt, I think they should be smaller) The lume colour is a bit annoying as the dial hands and dot are all different but then so many on double red seadweller dot com are differnt also, so i don't know what to do about that. Got a non hacking 2846 to drop in as well if i can solve the date wheel problem (white 2836 with open 6 and 9s on to a 2846)
  16. A couple of day light pictures Not quite blue but i like the contrast PS polishing Ti is not easy, you would be better off fitting a polished steel bezel and CG from a 111
  17. I would not say it was a play ground for the rich but hall one was the big players area and to get in the corporate areas/showrooms you had to be a big player Ref the ring no one in there noticed what you were wearing unless your name was hiyek (sic)or stern And i spent most of my time eyeing up the ladies as well, and there were a lot, even my wife commented on how many hot women there were!
  18. They are shown all over basel on adverts as well, i like them two but only got to see the square version at the show, the brown works well and it glows well too
  19. Quickly assembled sorry the light does not really highlight the difference in color but it is there, weather it is the right color or not it is an attempt Pr Dubis have to tried cape cod ?
  20. 300degrees centigrade 1 hour Polish with cape cod to get it back to what you were going for More pics to follow
  21. well 30min at 300 deg c makes it go gold, i will let you know what color it is after an hour
  22. That was very much the feeling, you need a business card to get any thing but if you do have a reason and the correct business card then the smaller brands are very nice to go and see, for me the tools were the best part to be honest as i came home with a big dept but i now have a mill and lathe! Also the movement manufactures were very interesting to see, ETA, selita, myiota and soprod and some others. Some photos Tha main part of hall 1 (there are 6 halls on multi levels) The main makers like rolex ect had stands that were just obscenely large and expencive The only watch of interest to us that i got was the 42mm PO Chrono The main thing that i found as a horologist was a working replica of John Harrison H1 The original Thomas Prescher single, double and triple axis torbillons I have to say that bad taste was also in abundance But makers like SINN had smaller but very well visited stands On the whole for me personally it was a very worth while visit but if i had just gone to see the big brands i would have felt very let down!
  23. I may have a go at this with my new tools
  24. In the flesh it is ok but i would prefer it with daytona style pushers and crown the new ones look too TW Steel
