Lots of good advise Pete, the only point i'd like to add is - ALWAYS BUY THE SELLER, in other words if the member or Dealer has lots of positive feedback, regularly posts on the forum and seems to be an honest lot, then you stand a chance of getting what your buying.Just remember your not buying a Gen, you can't go knocking on Goldsmiths door because a hands fallen off. Which of course they do on Gens too

Never personally had an issue buying parts from India/Pakistan, managed to snag some nice Vintage Gen crowns in the past. Agreed on the case Fred, its truly dreadful. I guess i can always request some movement stampings pictures to see if it is indeed Swiss. If it is a swiss valjoux 7750 I guess its value depends on what needs doing to it. How much was DW charging for his Asian secs@9 modded movements? Forgot to ask Fred, has that 280Z got a custom metalic Orange flake paint job DH -
Worth a punt if your in need of a 7750 for a Vintage Daytona build http://www.ebay.com/itm/171176417306?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Just received this from Eddie at Timefactors here in Sheffield. This is a Limited Edition 200 piece re-run of the original Precista Sub that was issued to the British Armed forces during the early 1980's. Using NOS eta 2783 as used in the original. Love the case shape, reminds me of the MK1/2 Benrus Subs. Enjoy! DH

Just picked this up from a fellow Brit who was selling it over on RG. Funny because i actually owned the Gen back in 1998 which i bought on a business trip to Copenhagen. Sold it Then years later bought the rep. Sold that then over the years deeply regretted selling both. It's not been available from the dealers for a number of years so when this appeared i had to grab it. This particular watch has had the conversion over to a Swiss 7750 which was the base movement in the Gen, the builder also fitted a nice IWC Rotor not sure if its Gen but it finishes the movement off beautifully. Double AR on the crystal which really pops the dials stark contrasting black and white. I do have Gen dial with aged tritium index but I'm wondering if i don't prefer the minty fresh rep one. The only issue with the rep is the text under the day/date window is a little bigger than the gen. Enjoy!!! DH

www.watchworx.co.uk All stainless steel fittings, stitched rather than glued as per MOD spec. Nice pvd finish that fades beautifully over time Cheers dh

Ciao F, I will indeed my friend. Some extra crown guard modification last night as it was looking a bit stubby Sub rather than elegant GMT. DH -

You know you want one Peter! $300.00 for the complete set and true too Gen spec as well. I'm keeping your Clark bezel as a spare for a future build. Cheers M -
Give em up, you'll never escape from the darkside. The best bit of all is that you can kick the crap out of em and they look progressively better

Correct A, That's actually a cousins suppplied T116 and Mr Bones has skillfully hacked off the Cyclops. Couldn't stretch to a Gen T38 at $400.00 a pop. Managed to pop in a nice clean Gen Mk5 dial though. The movement is a modded 2846 with GMT parts, hacking lever removed and the 24hr hand is non adjustable so follows the hour hand as per Gen 1575. -
On the way to me tomorrow from my good friend Mr Bones. Anything different about this 1675 you may be able to spot? DH
