If you bought a V72 Based Daytona off Him,chances are you where looking at pictures of my V72 mounted in one of his cases. I originally sent him a V72 for my own Daytona build. Never saw it again, hence my departure from the EU based Distribution venture for his parts and watches. Thanks God I didn't send him the Gen dial! Hope you have better luck than me

Very nice mate, still waiting for a response on the question regarding the gen IWC Bracelet you had for sale? give me a shout when you get a minute -
Fantastic Antiques quarter which is a short walk from the city centre and Parkers who are based in Hillsborough who have a great website for their stock.

Time for an Mq Daz'd dial mate, you won't be happy otherwise!

Yes that's the one, If the bezel is made to Gen dims then that isn't really the issue. Its the case. All aftermarket 1655 cases need work, I've owned them all from Phong to ingod. I'll fire you over some pictures of a recently modded ingod case I've just finished and that will give you an indication of what needs removing in order for the bezel to sit correctly on your case. The other thing to consider is that the Mk1 and MK2 cases had smaller and slimmer CG's. That NYguy bezel is a MK2. DH

Good Morning, i've never personally upgraded Josh's case with any of the aftermarket bezels but it does take a gen spec 116 so in theory a gen spec bezel should fit the case. There is now a nice Mk2 aftermarket one being offered on Ebay which looks good. You might also consider upgrading the watch with an ingod44 dial, a huge improvement over the cartel one and a reasonably cheap upgrade. I would also consider a much better orange 24hr hand, the biggest give away on the watch. I think i still may have a cwp one left if your interested Thanks DH

Not sure where your based but if your in the EU then i'd strongly suggest you to contact Rolexman who's based in the netherlands. He has serviced a lot of these potentially disappointing Daytona's and has a very high success rate at keeping them ticking!

Yes mate, much nicer brighter and shinner than the ingod one. Have a word with cc and see if he still has an entry level mq dial picture, I'm sure he had a couple before heading skywards with Ivan. i'm sure he posted one recently which he'd applied a Matte Lacquer too.

This guy appears to have 2 massively under priced watches listed, am i missing something here???? The 1655 looks to me to be 100% right. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-Yacht-Master-II-Weisgold-Ref-116689-/140982450131?pt=DE_Kleidung_Schmuck_Accessoires_Uhren_Armbanduhren&hash=item20d33577d3

Hey A, how you keeping mate?

Having owned over the years various Gen's and Frankens of the Vintage 1970's Subs, I decided that I'd matured into the earlier Non crown guard beauties and it was time to put a really nice 6538 together. With an outright purchase of a Gen never really being an financial option for me, the hoarding and research began. The Good Stuff 1. Complete Phong case, the nicest stampings I've ever seen on a case back, sorry I'm not opening the caseback! 2. Mq dial, after learning an awful lot from the Polar Bear on here (Cheers i decided to go with a nice gilt 2 liner. This is one of Minh's entry level dials so not in the same league as CC's but certainly a good starting point. 3. Hand set from Michael Young at CWP, solid brass so you can merrily age away without fear of ending up with a set of silver hands. Plus he can suply the really nice white lollypop seconds hands The really Bad stuff 4. Gen 1030 fully working(Joke) purchased from one of the esteemed members over on VRF. Never believe a bl..dy word they say! Well to cut a long story short, the movement turned out to be a bag of Junk, i painfully started to source parts from all over the World for my watchmaker who reasured me that he was hopeful he could get it running. Sadly too hopeful, and in the end I had to admit defeat and ended up selling the movement as parts. Not a bad return in the end as it turns out. After a bit of head scratching and decision making about keeping the remaining parts, I decided to buy an eta adapter from Yuki and snagged a very nice clean 2846 slow beat for $20.00 off fleabay, that was the movement issue resolved. I must thank Big Daz for his sterling work to the dial and hands, This is the second re-incarnation for this dial, not only did my watchmaker fail on the movement front he also managed to deposit super glue on my already modded dial. I could hear Daz's heart sink on the phone as I merrily explained that the dial was on its way back over for a re-lume with the other parts. Well lots of Crackle Lacquer, smoke aging and a nice crumbly lume later, I've got to say I'm very happy with the results and hope its goes some way to resemble a 60 year old watch. He really did a fantastic job putting the whole watch together for me and i really can't recommend his services enough.
