Hey mate, have a great one. Just wonderful to have you back with us. Offshore

Welcome, You have certainly come to the right place to "pop your cherry" Read, search and read again, and you won't be disappointed in your first! As to prosecutions...in most countries, it is not illegal to own replicas. It can however be illegal to import, or trade, so investigate your countries specifics. A search will probably answer this for you. Happy repping. Offshore

Hi, Firstly, if you have not been having problems there, it would seem hard to understand why you may have been banned. To start however, you may be advised to edit your title to let's say..... "Problems"!!! No use getting anyone offside! I'm sure this post will be reported to their admin (if not already) and we have a contact area, thru our interfora cooperation to assist. So how about we calmly and nicely try to sort this out. Starting with a little less hard talk! Will post this to our coop area now. Offshore

Gutted at AD: Gen purchase went pear-shaped

Don't see it as "fake stuff" more like "misrepresented". Anyone bidding in to this should be VERY aware of where they are going, and what they are doing.....and if not, it really is "Caveat Emptor" One can only hope Ebays "guarantees" are good ....for the buyer involved. Offshore

@G, Mate see if it goes back in the window, with the same price tag, then photograph it, and go in and demand to buy. Get the s/no, and if they again refuse, point it at Consumer Affairs. You will get the watch! Offshore -
Guys, Thanks in advance! Just shoot a PM to "Admin" or "Two Tone", and they will give you some instructions. This problem is all due to Pay Pal charge backs, so we now need to do things a bit differently. Thanks again. Offshore

Just remove the movement, and pop the crystal with your thumbs, over a waste paper basket! If you are super concerned about shards and pieces flying, put the whole lot inside a plastic bag, and pop the crystal from the outside. Offshore

Sheesh...Is this still going? Looks like we must review our "censorship" rules! Offshore

Fixing Crown ? not broken, just popped off!
offshore replied to kazjim's topic in General Discussion
What movement is this from? Appears to be a "one piece" crown/stem, for a screw down seal. If you can source another stem with a normal thread/crown arrangement, you may be better served. Depends on the movement! Offshore -
Last for 2008! Happy New Year from Oz!

Gee, the police list of "missing" would make amazing reading! But sounds like no chance of some "specials" on the 'bay!

Hope that is not for the Ozzie cricket team

Oh it would be AAA Swiss Gorilla glue, for sure. (The rep version)

@Kray, A little OT, but I would be pleased if you could tell me where to source a crystal for a 6138-0040 bullhead. It is P/N 340W14GN, and whilst there are Steinkruz (?sp), and GS replacements available, I'm damned if I can source a genuine Hardlex! Am in the middle of a rebuild on a brown faced bullhead, have a face, hands, bezel insert, crown, and even scored an as new bracelet, but the crystal is proving a challenge. I'm advised that the Steinkruz has a marginally different shape, and doesn't wear as well, and with the way this crystal protrudes, I feel only a Hardlex will do the watch justice. The GS is only acrylic, and will get knocked around in no time. Any info appreciated. Offshore PS Will keep my eyes open for another bullhead, I see them pretty regularly. I do have a 6106-8237, blue face, which needs a crystal and a bracelet/strap, and runs OK, which i would part with. The crystal for this one-320W10GN, is readily available.

@bertieng, I have no knowledge of this particular mod, however, have a look at where the bezel sits on the different crystals. I do a fair amount of crystal replacement, and invariably run into problems when a new crystal is fitted.(and a bezel exists) Different height....marginally different radius on the crystal top edge.... can be enough to "bind" up the bezel movement! Worth an investigate! Offshore

@ Kruz, Thanks for the "lugging" mate! Seems like one has found it's way to the sunny UK, so best I start checking my letterbox! ( Even tho we are a couple of hundred kms adrift of that place!) They do look stunning, and the limited edition factor, adds to their uniqueness! Should we say here, now, that there are actually a couple...MAYBE... still up for grabs? Cos there may have been a few who missed out on the 1st round, who have some interest! PM admin, or one of the mods, if anyone is interested. No guarantees..... but we always try to please. Offshore

Gee Col, they are a bit light on the ground! Have a look at that site I gave you in Brisvegas, he also has a very good cross ref section. I have one other contact down south, so if you want to send me the model/case, I can chase it for you. Offshore.

Hear you loud and clear Dems...enjoy the exploring... as it's the input from the likes of yourself, that have made these walls what they are. Offshore

Quite right Toad! I remember, all those years ago, ( Is it that long?) wondering why I couldn't get anyone to answer my questions on those forums! Then a light glimmered somewhere in the recesses of my brain. And a search commenced, which lead me to RWCC, then TRC, through the good and bad times at RWG1, and finally here. All the while, gaining bits of information, on reps and gens alike. It is probably the more sceptical consumers, who finally find their way to our doors; and one wonders how many thousands of overpriced watches are sold to, and millions of $$, are taken each year, from a largely unsuspecting public? So we must all count ourselves fortunate, that we have had that degree of scepticism at some time, or we would all be also cursing the replica trade, instead of enjoying what it offers. And we must never forget, that our arriving new members, all must arrive with some degree of cynicism, as to what they may encounter here. So let's all take a little time to welcome the newcomers, encourage them to search and read, and answer their questions, as these are the things that will finally convince people that they have indeed found a "legit" source of information, on this hobby of ours. As KB said Dems, it's good to see you here. Welcome. (Officially) Offshore

So down here in Oz, the air controllers are at fever pitch, diverting traffic so a fat guy in red, and an improbable flying sleigh, mit reindeer, can commence his yearly duties! Sort of makes one wonder, why he doesn't base himself on Chatam Island! Then at least he would have a flying start in his major 24 hour quest! Kids and grown ups to, are settling down, for an early wake up, to see what goodies are awaiting tomorrows dawn! To all my friends @ RWG, I wish you a Merry Christmas, and a great New Year. Can only hope the fat little guy has a special super rep, stashed away, as at least a stocking stuffer. Happy Christmas..... and let's not ever take the Christ out of it! Offshore
