  1. I beleive what you refer to, are the various articles from Ziggy. At his request, they have been posted inWiki, but access is limited to RWG Supporters. So you would need to become an RWG supporter to view them. Offshore
  2. Payments now received from- ar0401,toadtorrent,Sherrington & Phaedo. Thanks guys. I am working away on this industriously Damn, do you guys know how long it takes to copy 40 chapters on 1 subject! Should be all done soon, will rollout the mailout over the next dy or so. Offshore
  3. Hey, interested1956, we well remember you from RWG1... the lady from Melb.... with a handbag fetish, if my memory serves me correctly So do hang around, (looks like a couple of members have come up with solutions), and you will find that the vast majority are of the calibre you speak. And if nothing else, you could help Victoria, (and MU) keep this bunch of reprobates, under some form of what is loosely called control! Good to see you here. Offshore
  4. V, My congrats as well, just catch up on the sleep... as you will be short of it in time to come. Have you got the little bloke a starter tool kit yet? Offshore
  5. Tom, Don't know what came originally with the B & R, hope someone here can help. Does the old movement not have any markings? This link, which I posted the other day may assist. http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WatchTools/Gen...reMovements.htm Specifically scroll to the bottom of that page, and relink to the tech drawings from Seagull. May help! Offshore
  6. A final up date on this. I have now PM'd all respondents, and will today commencce burning and mailing the CD's. So if anyone else wants/needs to get in.... speak now... or forever hold your peace! Offshore
  7. Reminds me of Nanug... installing some new hands! Offshore
  8. Victoria, Except the air we now breathe, has a distinctly sour taste! With those deeds of previous generations of Labour governments now again in our taste buds. Hell, the Queen, through her GG, had to sack one lot, as they couldn't even find the $$ for next weeks wages and rent! And now , it appears, we have a couple of malcontents in our admin team, voting for change... for the sake of change.... and to avoid having to sign our admins' new "Workplace Agreement" To return to my emphasis in your quote... I surely need to know, that the next time we have an invader at our doorstep, we will have a liberal PM, who has promoted and cultured our ties with the US, in charge, who can call on assistance from a friend. Not a PM who has torn down those ties, and then seeks assistance from his more labour orientated allies! I rarely involve myself in discussions, on political or religous matters. And my rant on Oz politics ends here. Suffice to say, "the worm will turn" and when it does, we will hear loud and clear the bleating from those of the "Change for changes sake" majority, as they question why their living standards have been eroded, and they can no longer "pay the piper' and meet their mortgage obligations. And I will retain this thread for posterity, and as a reference, for the time when the Australian union leaders commence their campaigns to enrichen the lives of their followers, and their own pockets ( Not necessarily in that order) Offshore
  9. A further up date. WOW... I have just spent the last 2 hours, literally scrolling through the volumes of Omega info, available on this CD. In 2 hours, I probably viewed maybe 5% of what this contains, and read much less. It starts with Tech guides and info on Constellation, Speedmaster, Deville, Specialty watches including tourbillon, The Museum collction, articles on "Cleaning and dressing", calibre modification for specific models, and specific model tools. The next section, is a huge series of parts breakdowns, for literally dozens of different calibres. Following this are technical guides, for each specific calibre- How to's, oiling, problem solving, and individual calibre idiosyncrasies. Finally there is a general info section, tools, various suppliers, etc etc (This is a tiny 260 pages) This is a huge volume of info!! It is sorted and filed pretty well, so there is not the "Information overload" factor, sometimes associated with these things. If you are an Omegaphile, or aspiring repairer, or just interested in the technical aspects of your watch, you really can't be without a copy of this. For those of you with orders in the bin, I am still awaiting receipt of a couple of pieces of info, to tie this all together. Still hope to have 'em in the mail by the weekend, or next Monday at latest. Will PM for payment as we get nearer. Anyone else who may want a copy of this, or any of the other info above... add you name here, or PM me. Offshore
  10. OK for you guys, we've got to live with the pr*ck, running our country and our lives. There is only one sure thing with Labour now in power Australia wide, ( both in the States and Federally) Interest rates will rise! Dramatically. Any Aussie who doesn't fix the interest rate on their mortgage, has rocks in their head. I'm sure the millions of younger Aussies who elected Rudd the dud, didn't live through the last dose of Labour in power, when the interset rate went from 4.75% to 17.5%. But us old elephants have long memories. Offshore
  11. Well I must need a perpetual calender watch, 'cos getting lucky for me, needs to establish... a year, month, day, and time... then book 12 months in advance! ....AND try to foreward forecast headaches!!!! Offshore
  12. I'm dredging this topic up from the near past, as it came up in a search I did. I was chasing some movement info, and revisited pmwf, as they had some info in the past. This link http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WatchTools/Gen...reMovements.htm takes you to a page of photos and some info. However at the bottom of the page are links to the Seagull site, tech drawings, and onfo. Hope it assists those chasing info. Offshore
  13. Another quick update. Everything is coming together nicely. I was at the PO yesterday, and by quantity buying the mailers, and bulk posting, can certainly keep the post, mailer, CD cost to U$5. (worldwide) Have converted all files (that I have) to PDF, and renewed my sparse knowledge of burning CD's. I have now discounted sending these by email as too hard, so CD is the only option. Now just awaiting receipt of a couple of files to complete the offer, and I will get burning. Once I am ready to go, I will PM each member who wants items, confirm their needs, and supply an addy for payment. I'm thinking this will be towards the end of this coming week. Good stuff guys, and anyone else seeing this, just add your name and wants here. Don't forget, I am kicking a % back to the RWG operation fund. Offshore
  14. Am posting this now in GD, but it may require a new home. Spotted on my nightly wander around the bay! EDIT. Link broken ... search item no.370000186967 Call me naive, but what is this guy driving at? Apart from trying to sell a Pam lookalike? I am not a fan of them at best, and this constant barrage of "homages" only further dulls my enthusiasm! Will bow to the experts, who may be able to explain to me what this is all about. Offshore
  15. au contraire, mes ami, One never discusses matters of this sensitivity However, no medal... but ......something nonetheless! Offshore
  16. A quick update on where we are at here. I now have (or will soon have) the following available. 1. The Omega parts breakdown lists, and other info, as originally discussed. 2. The Time Zone Watch Course, parts 1 & 2 (Part 2 thanks to Zigg) 3. The ETA 7750 parts breakdown and repair CD. Description of this from the seller is
  17. All that new fangled technology... I still remember carrier pigeons! Had some in our backyard. 3 pence at the grocers for "broken biscuits", and fish & chips for 1/- ( Thats 1 shilling, or 0.10c in the new language.) Offshore
  18. Is there an Italian speaking member in the house? Maybe someone could PM our friend, and assist? offshore
  19. Chevall, I hear what you ask.(I think) The answer is that no one sells replica watches, with Rolex movements.(As far as dealers are concerned) And there are no copies of the Rolex movements, at this time. Some of our collectors here, have taken a replica, with an ETA or even Asian movement, and removed the movement, and replaced it with a used genuine movement. We call these Frankenwatches, like the Frankenstein monster but they are always done on a one off basis, are mostly the work of very good watchsmiths, and if they ever do come up for sale, which is not often... will demand a fairly high price. Hope this is clear to you, different languages can be a real nuisance at times. Offshore
  20. Must admit I am struggling with this query. First you ask for a copy of a Rolex movement, which don't (yet) exist, with genuine Rolex? I take it, you there refer to the case and possibly dial and hands and bracelet? If correct, the movement is not avalable, but certainly the rest could be obtained (depending on which model you are thinking of.) But you then ask for So you then want a replica case, with a genuine movement??? This second option is possible, acquiring the genuine movement may not be quite so easy. (or inexpensive) Hope this answers your question. offshore
  21. Screw the watch.... see them every day of the week But have a look at the beautiful bit of gear in the 2nd shot (3 posts up^) Hardly the sort of equipment to use as a display stand. That is classic in its own right. Rod, is that yours? Did you refurb it? It looks just magnificent More pics, more details ....Pleeeease! BTW, your photography is also in the quality bracket, no mistake about that. Great post.... I'm drooling. Offshore
  22. Think you are spot on, i can't find 'em anywhere! altho it's a big site, and search is almost non existent. Offshore
  23. We don't! Just ask admin about my 'puter skills (only took me 18months to figure out this Skype thingy!) You were lucky you didn't get banned, just with me replying Sooooo many buttons to push. Offshore
