  1. Mine's the same, but i'm not worried yet.
  2. - How can that problem be avoided? Use NEW 1.8mm diameter springbars (22mm long). Damaged or bent ones (such as the ones out of my UPO bracelet ) will still allow that to happem. Since i've done mine, signifcant force - more than you'd get during wearing - will not move the lugs. Anyone here thinks that the dust picking part is making it not worth buying? - Not me. The amount of dust it picks up is tiny compared to my old 20mm rubber strap. - If I buy the rubber strap without the "new" springbars... where will I get the ones needed for my Ultimate PO? Anywhere that sells watch batteries should sell them. They aren't hard to find.
  3. I couldn't choose. For my first Breitlings (after over 2 years of collecting) i've bought both. I've gone for the grey dial BCE on steel, and the asian movement white SFSO on steel, though i intend getting a couple of straps for each. If i was only going to buy one, i'd probably go for the SFSO in whichever dial colour i liked best.
  4. 1.8mm diameter 22mm long should do you. I got some for my rubber strap (which are the same thickness as the ones in my bracelet) from www.watchbattery.co.uk
  5. Nothing here either. I'd like solution one. I don't mind waiting for it. The other Ferrari pams do nothing for me i'm afraid.
  6. If we're talking a perfect (in looks and function) rep, then i'd be torn between the white Speedmaster broadarrow, and the Zenith Stainless steel Daytona.
  7. If they ever do bring out a decent yellow box for this, i'm all over it. Best box ever! My FER008 should be here tomorrow, i hope.
  8. I've just swapped my spring bars for new 1.8mm ones. The old ones were the same thickness, but the ends were slightly bent, causing my issues (see my post above). The new ones have solved my problems of the strap flexing, and the gap i had between the strap and watch. So, new 1.8mm springbars for the win.
  9. Great post. It's just the sort of thing that's kept me visiting RWG I & II for the last two and a half years.
  10. Glad you like it. It means i can get one now i've read a review. I'm going to get the brown one myself. I've been looking for a 22mm/18mm strap (I already have that Omega deployant buckle) for ages.
  11. Nice variety you have there. I guess i must have cost you a couple of thousand $USD . As long as you enjoy it, it's worth every penny.
  12. I have Pauls watch, as you posted. I bought it around april 2005. When i got it, it had short hands (as is common for this model) so i changed them for genuine hands. The case is nice - HEV valve is correct. The bezel insert is not so nice. The pearl has no metal surround, and the writing on the bezel is black, instead of dark blue. The dial is lighter in colour, as you noted, but it's not as significant as it looks in those photos. All around, it's a nice watch. But, it's no-where nears as high a quality the old 2004 version (closed factory, which was just about perfect), the bond SMP that's been out since Feb 2005, or the newer Omega reps like the SMP chrono, Ultimate PO, etcetera. Stunning genuine though. It's THE Seamaster (out of the whole range) i'd buy if i were getting a gen.
  13. I also have the problem of the end of the strap flipping away from the watch. My spring bars are so tight in it, i had to use a pin vice to push them through. I have a small-ish wrist (6.75"). It doesn't happen all the time, just when i knock it slightly. I've also noticed that there's a 1mm gap all the way around between the watch and strap while the staps is fastened. Even on the last (or first - the one furthest from the watch). It's still okay for occasional wear, and i haven't noticed the strap picking up anywhere near as much dust as the old 20mm one with the guide pin. EDIT: Pic added to illustrate the gap. I guess this doesn't fit the Ulitimate PO as well as it does Silix's Casino Royale PO.
  14. I'm thinking dark grey suede with thin yellow stitching. No idea where i'd get one (save perhaps HKTan), but i'll solve that when i actually get the watch. I'm sold on the yellow stitching after i saw Relaxman's rep strap that he coloured with a marker pen. I've even been looking for a good fine point marker. I'd also like to use the deployant buckle, just to keep it different from my other Pams.
  15. Quick, make some nice hi-res wallpapers! J/K
  16. The only rubber strat that will fit a 42mm 4th gen PO properly, is a genuine one. There is a rep 20mm rubber strap out there, but it only fits certain 42mm and 45mm models. No idea where you'll find a bracelet, other than a member with a spare one. Again, a genuine would fit, but it's not cost effective.
  17. Looks great. Now i'm looking forward to getting mine even more. I'm a bit of a Ferrari nut.
  18. Joshua sells a black rubber strap that will fit that watch perfectly for $35. It's in the Omega / Straps and accessories section. I have a PO with the same case. The gen doesn't have 2 sets of holes, or the guide hole.
  19. It should have the words "Planet Ocean". What it shouldn't have isw the word "Professional" So: 42.5mm = Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 45mm = Omega Seamaster Professional Planet Ocean
  20. Just incase someone tries to copy and paste my name from the list, it's bigpops yodaddynukka. Cheers.
  21. As far as i know, it only comes in black. When you buy the orange PO on a rubber strap from Omega, it comes on a black strap.
  22. I'm in for this. I'm in the UK.
  23. It has 3 extra gears to move the 12 o'clock subdial, down to the 3 o'clock position. However, it has been said by our resident watch maker The Zigmeister, that these gears don't place and significant extra stress on the movement. It's the watches where the seconds hand is moved down to 6 where you have to use caution. I'm also in the group buy, and this will be my first Asian 7750 based watch in 2 1/2 years of collecting.
  24. I've already said i'm in for 1x Chrono @ $269 I'm not the type to back out once i've said i'm in. This is the watch of the year so far imo, and i have to have it.
  25. I just had a look at westernunion.com, and to send one payment of
