daytona is not doing that great in asia except for JAPAN (at least for now) - panerai is way ahead of rolex in leaps and bounds. still some collectors believe that the daytona in high demand is 16520 the A series. the ppl who love daytona, are not buying any new model. the people who dnot have daytona, are not getting the new daytona. having said that, the market for pam is still ahead of rolex. pubilch only see daytona as a limited production, they think most pam is limited edition . i heard that pam 127 is approaching to almost triple in second hand market. nowwadys people dont ask for discount, but its availablity. but 127 is only an asian thng or so i was told.

I wear a Rolex Explorer II to work, about once a week i take my DW daytona out. Noone ever comments on eithe watch. ( i work in consulting firm specialise in M&A - most sr. ppl wear AP, PP or alike or my level would be like daytona, IWC, Sub LV, Pam) one monday i wear the Graham from josh to office, in the pantry. the secratries gave really good comment "wow nice watch" that was a big suprise to me. i never hear anything like that even when i wear my bro 's gen rolex black daytona. the world is weird. on a related note, there is this guy in office about twenty yrs old. he wears a daytona paul newman chinese rep. everyone talks abt him and his watch, when he is not around - everyone seems to dislike him (for other reasons too). poor guy. hope he is not reading this thread.

nice watch. one suggestion, if i may, is the dial - i think DNS dial would be good on your watch, for the time being unless u are able to find gen?

i have the same watch - first transcation with david. i agree all points but i acutally thought david's lume isn't too bad my watch died too, the poor A7750 was running slow when it arrived. but just died all of a sudden. ii have it serviced this week.

i sand-paper'ed my brown one that comes wth the watch.......not a very good lookn piece. but u get the distressed look anyways, i only use it as a test......immediately bought an aftermarket strap online!

why don't you work w/ your dealer..sounds like a big QC issue to me..

how do you add that "pro hunter" writing on the dial without buyng a new dial and green hand

I have seen some PVD rolex.... i don't think the coating is as thick , urs look like ceramic.. almost, which is new and interesting
