  1. Finally remebered how to use the macro on my old Powershot. So here you are, my black PO. I am very pleased with this, my third rep. It has a distinctly better build quality than any of my other reps (which were not low end models). It is so good in fact that I can't quite believe the quality feel for the price. I spent a short while at my local Omega AD shop window this Saturday, and frankly I can't tell the difference! Keeps good time too, with the ETA movement. Enjoy!
  2. Wow that Bell & Ross looks soooo cool. Good choice! (ok, so I like the SMP too!!)
  3. You could fire a nuke with that chrono button!
  4. OOOOOOO want one bad!!!! like the HE valve position (very good)
  5. I'm Spartacus, no,,, I'm Spartacus, no,,, I'm Spartacus, no,,, I'm Spartacus, no,,, I'm Spartacus Oh what the hell! .............
  6. Yeah, Mahler is right, buy one, then want another, then another, then you're broke!!! Enjoy your stay
  7. Hi rwg777 and welcome. You will learn a great deal by hanging around this forum. I know I did (and still am). I see you have made the obvious first choice rep purchase with the SM GMT, but hey the Bell & Ross, now thats bold for a first timer! Look forward to seeing your pics when you get them. The waiting is the worst part (but well worth it)!
  8. I got an SMP from Joshua a couple of montha ago, it's never been off my wrist since. I read lots of posts here about re-aligning the bezel, and finally took the plunge a couple of weeks back. It makes a surprising visual difference, and somehow changes the look of the watch completely. There is a guide here somewhere on how to do it. If you've got the nerve, it is well worth doing. Anyway - enjoy your excellent choice!
  9. Awesome - we can all dream - Ah well, back to the office tomorrow..............
  10. I was thinking of replacing my second hand with a genuine item from clockspares.net. The existing one is slightly bent and has great big thumb prints all over it. Does anyone know if the gen hand will fit straight onto an ETA 2824-2 movement, or is a specialist modding job necessary? Gen second hand is just under 8 quid - seems like a bargain.
  11. Took my first plunge into the world of reps about 6 weeks ago. Bought my SMP from Joshua. Great service and wonderful watch. Been on my wrist ever since, and has been faultless. I was also gripped by the desire for more..... and bought wifey a Datejust. It is just as Pugwash says "The cravings for a second watch will hit you soon" It can't be resisted....... Muahahahaha Muahahahaha Muahahahaha!!!!!
  12. Thanks for the info. One thing we were wondering is, what is the weight / feel of the strap like on an original. What are the gen straps like? Heavy, light, hollow, solid????? Never held and original Rolex, and not likely to either.
  13. Just what I want. Just got to get the readies together, then.......
  14. Just got this Datejust from PT, for my wife. Ordered Tuesday evening, arrived by 9am Thursday (UK to UK). Can't get better service than that! Watch is great, my wife is over the moon, it is just what she wanted (sharing my interest in RWG by the way). This is an ETA model, auto, and keeps very good time. Wifey loves all the sparkly bits! Ordered it boxed, and was very impressed with the whole package. A couple of photos attached, sorry for the poor quality, I must read up on how to improve. Don't know how accurate a rep it is, but having been greeted with the biggest smile ever on my wife's face when I gave her the watch, I don't much care!
  15. Great guide, given me the know how to try that much needed bezel alignment. Excellent, thanks guys!!!
  16. Take a look at this on ebay UK http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-MENS-OMEGA...1QQcmdZViewItem looks like the HE valve is dead on 10 o'clock. Screams rep to me, what do you rekon?
  17. Hi, I'm in the UK and took a gamble and ordered my first rep through Joshua. Quality goods, no problems. See my report on my OSMP, and it took only 6 days from order to front door. Who ever you chose, go for it.
  18. Some of the screws in the bracelet were difficult to remove when adjusting the length. There was one joint that was stiff and did not lie on the wrist properly. I have since fixed that by pinching the steel links together with needle nosed pliers (wrapped in cloth). Now the links all articulate freely and I am quite happy! I would have preferred pins to screws though, as I had previously bought a pin remover from ebay in anticipation! Ah well!
  19. Just have to say what great service from Joshua. The Seamaster is everything I wanted, and hasn't been off my wrist since it arrived three days ago. Keeps good time too! I now have the problem that my misses is so impressed by the quality, she wants a rollie!
  20. Just ordered my first rep, an OSMP from Joshua. Im in the UK, anyone got any experiences with customs? Do they generally get through or get seized?
  21. Just visited www.omegawatches.com. View the watch you fancy, and then check out the 'discover your watch' link. Unbelievable piece of web magic, the watch appears in 3D for you to navigate round. Not only is it showing the right time and date, but you can use the bloody function bottons as well!!! Check it out!
  22. Looks good to me, just what I am chasing in fact. Wear it well.
  23. Just to say had a great reponse from all ranks of members to my first post in general discussions http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=2666 If you're new like me, have a go. Its a doddle!
