I bought a set of gen hands for my SMP (bought from Joshua), from Cousins. My SMP is the ETA version. I had a terrible job getting the rep second hand off, and ended up bug*ering it completely as it twanged across the room like a speeding bullit after I had to prise it off with a pair of my wife's eyebrow tweasers (don't have a hand removal tool). Anyway, the rep second hand was so hard to get off that I lost my nerve and left the rep hour and minute hands on. The gen second hand was a straight swap, fitting perfectly. It looks much better than the rep second hand because the conterbalance is longer than the rep (at least on my model). I have a 42mm PO rep from PT and have noticed that my bezel has square cut ridges forming the 'grip' to the edge, the same as shown in RobbieG's photos, but I notice that the pic from Pugwash shows a more fluted edge to the bezel (similar to a submariner). I have also seen the latest 45mm reps with the 'fluted' edge. Are there two types of bezel on the gens?

I agree with Pugwash, this does look good on the nato strap. Somehow more believable if you know what I mean

Hi ryaku Here are a couple of newer pics of my Carrera (check your PM's). One with new strap, and one wrist shot. Don't know what price King's is, but Andrew's is a bargain (but came without boxed set).

I got one of these Carreras from Andrew a short while ago. Mine is an Asian 21J version. I am very pleased with it. It makes a great every day watch that doesn't scream fake. The original does have display back BTW.

Hi Pugwash Not been a fan of IWC, finding them rather fussy. But this I really like! I could be a convert. Not another watch I've got to have, please..... thanks a lot buddy!

I can recommend Andrew (trusty). I have bought 3 reps from him, with no troubles. Sometimes the cheapest option does not represent the best value for money, as I am sure you know. I can also recommend PT and Joshua as they have both delivered quality, quickly! Good luck.............

I like the change to the oem dial. The wave pattern is much stronger than on the reps. I have a set of oem hands ready to fit to mine (I have done the second hand already) but lack the confidence (and propper tool) to rip off the old hands. One day perhaps. Nice job on yours by the way, well worth it, and get that pearl done!

No it's not the rolex rep sort as it does not have the pink rotor. Here is a snap of the movement I am assuming here, that it is a Miyota copy, but correct me if I am wrong. Thanks for the offer, though. If it will fit lets do it! (Need to get hand removal tool first)
