I haven't tried it but I think so. The Gen rehaut is conical while the rep is straigt. So You would basically have to build a conical spacer ring or something. Much work!

Oh, now get it. No problemo.
You might want to read that thread though. Serious problem with different rehaut angle on the rep so the dial won't fit directly.
Good luck.

Hi
I don't exactly understand your question, the IWC 3706 is no movement, though it contains usually a A7750. If you're looking for a 3706 rep case and hands (incl. said movement) I guess jockl1978 might be able to help you out.
See his post here.
If you're looking for a gen case I've never seen one being sold separately. You may find the hands or the dial on the bay somtimes.
Hope that helps.

Hmmm. Have you seen the pic? I think he is some kind of franken already.
On another note, if I remember my Mary Shelley correctly one of Dr. Frankensteins main problems was that he couldn't make his product do what he wanted...

TJ, although this is not my cup of tea aesthetically I admire your creative and manual skills!
This is really cool! Thanks for showing.

P.S. I don't get the title. Cultural gap?
He says his auntie has given it as a gift to him. She supposedly bought in Italy.
That's how fast a politician will sell his own aunt if you press him a little.

Just found the original pic of said rep: What a terrible terrible terrible watch!
Original blog article is here: Business Montres
That blog is quite interesting, by the way.

Wearing my SSD today although these pix are two weeks old. In the meantime there's a lot of fresh snw where these were taken.
Sorry for the lousy quality, iPhone cam used.
Lovely Lag Viola:
Kind regards

I don't buy watches (Gen or Rep) as an investment. I buy them to wear them, as a piece of mobile beauty.
It's the same with wine: Why buying wine you want to resell for more. I buy it for the drinking pleasure, for complementing good food and good company. Investment strategy kills of the soul in it for me.
I might invest in bonds or something. Made for reselling only.
Just my 2 cents.

That is rule No. 2 about beautiful stuff: The less chi-chi you want, the more you pay (Rolex Bling watches being a famous exception, of course).
Rule No. 1 being that no matter what it is, if it's the most expensive solution it's the one I like the most (same exception as above applies).

In case somebody doesn't know what Zegg & Cerlati stands for:
http://www.zegg-cerlati.mc/
They have shops in Samnaun, Ischgl and Monaco. Very posh, very exclusive and very hip especially among St. Moritz folks.
Kind regards

Nice ad. I like the somber mood.
I guess simple doesn't necessarily mean cheap. Think of classic design.
Two of my favourites, not cheap at all:
DayBed by Eileen Gray:
Chair by Werner Max Moser:

Oh man, db, that's terribly beautiful. I'll go and cry a little.
I'll try and take confort in the fact that I helped you pay it by buying my tix.
Wear it well.

Congratulations! I like the design of this Seamaster very much, it's very elegant and if your lady doesn't mind the flaws: good for her!
Personally I'd say your sweetheart outshines the watch very much. But that should always be true.
Thanks for showing.
