you could either get the crystal coated - Chieftang's project - if you search under Watch Repair you will find it
or you can buy an original double sided AR coated crystal at OFrei
even if it were availble - which as far as I know isn't the case - you shouldn't expect too much from the AR - The reflections on the AR 212/253 sryatl are still significant
well just to clarify: it is not illegal in all Countries to by fake goods - selling is a different story. Germany in particular has no law against buying counterfit goods, but against selling them.
It also sounds unbelievable that German Customs would open the package without your presence - that is illegal!! They are supposed to have you come in a opne the package in your presence
some people might say that about the Panerai Historic series that uses an even cheaper 6497 movement - we all know that most brands use of the shelf ETA movements for their thousands of dollar watches - if they are worth it or not is solely in the eye of the beholder
it is a mood point in my opinion to reply to a thread about a watch that you personally don't like - just my 2 cents
be aware though that moneygram had me call them before they approved the transaction.
The ask a lot of questions like:
- is this for goods purchased
- does the seller have a website
- what is the article number of the good
etc.
Just tell them that as little as possible, say you know the person and you have dealt with him before, but DO NOT give out any info about Josh's website or anything that has to do with watches...simply say that it is non of their business or make up something inconspicuous
Joshua is no longer accepting PayPal - confirmed!
Money Bookers won't work for us base in the US - I went and set up a moneygram account and Joshua is helping with the fees
Mellow Yellow...yes please
about the date - Hublot is now only using black dates in all the new Big Bangs and there has also been a variety of date fonts on the gen Big Bangs some bolder some not so bold depending on when it was produced. The newer version all have a bolder date font and they also have the 2 line serial on the back.
Have you had a chance to compare the real one to the rep in person? I can tell you that the difference is so insignificant that if you put them both side by side you wouldn't know the difference - Finepics also compared the rep with a gen at an AD and his words were that they were flabbergasted about the accuracy of the rep.
As I mentioned before I would take the HBB into an AD anyday, but wouldn't do that with any of the other replicas I own.
I do want to comment on the finish of the HBB again: best I have ever seen in any rep
One other thing: Is the date wheel of the TAG and Omega 100% spot on?
nobody on that thread owns a gen and the statements made about the engraving on the back are confirmed to be wrong, so other than the movement there are no visible flaws - this is why I said that the HBB is the most accurate out of the box. The comments made about quality issues are common with all reps and not unique to the HBB.
There will be no such thing than a perfect rep - as much as we all want it to be
Peace
I am not kidding - take the Omega SMP Chrono for example; cheap screw bracelet, bezel pearl, dial ridges and color, HE Valve, etc - you tell me what's wrong on the HBB besides the movement??
today: Hublot Big Bang SS - no matter what you say the Omegas and TAGs available don't come even close in terms of accuracy out of the box
tomorrow: might very well be the 3rd gen Breitling Chrono Evolution and the PAM Northpole
