The Iwc Aquatimer Chronograph Cousteau Divers
lovepanerai replied to PureTime's topic in The IWC Area
when you consider the pace the maker is doing those - HBB - EVO - Chopard, PAM252, etc. it will be a while before we see this one - I guess around the May timeframe -
Update: Point Out The Flaws On The Following Pam´s
lovepanerai replied to olreon's topic in The Panerai Area
you are correct they all have too many flaws - here is one that doesn't - unfortunately non of our dealers heer offer it at a reasonable price -

Hi Rolli, the feeling is mutual - love your 100mm macro shots cheers LP

couldn't agree more!! I have a Canon 20D and a Canon S400, the difference out of the camera is incredible. Let's also not forget that Pugwash is the master of using Photoshop and knows how to do awesome picture editing jobs - I would be curious to see one his pictures without any Photoshop editing whatsoever.....
-
stay way from them since they will certainly break down in the long run - unless you are looking for an expensive paperweight.

thanks M8 I have read that in numerous posts do you by any chance know if the bezel can be re-aligned/taken off? that's the only thing that bugs me since it is off by half a tick - thx

Little White Lies We're Supposed To Tolerate?
lovepanerai replied to Pugwash's topic in General Discussion
Awesome topic Pug I agree that we are beeing bulshitted here about the specs and accuracy of our beloved replicas, but than again that's one of things why RWG is so great - this is the place where all the experienced posters give advice an uncover the truth about "Synthetic Sapphire" usually meaning Mineral Crystal and so on. Would we want dealers to be truthfull about the replicas they are selling? Yes we would, but than their description would probably read: Perfect replica = well we took a picture from a magazine and approximated the measurments, etc. Crystal = the cheapest thing we could find and yes it will scratch or even brake or shatter out of nowhere Bezel = if you are lucky you are getting one that's properly aligned Movement = should work a couple of days, again if you are lucky Well I know that this is a bit extreme, but advertising and marekting is part of the business and some of our dealers just take marketing to a new level and plain and simple lie about the specifications. The biggest BS term however is light AR coat, everytime I read that I brake out in laughter...... -
just received this monster today from a fellow member - this is the rare Watchhonpo version with AR crystal, screwed in bezel markers and better/deeper engraving on the back...I am in love and yes it is HUGE The Back - my birthday is on a 13th so the serial is absolutely for me The Wristshots - I have a small wrist so it will take some getting used to

Just changed to a monster that arrived today

Asian 7750 With Seconds At 6, Avoid Like The Plauge?
lovepanerai replied to RageRover's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
The Zigmeister did the second subdial freeze on one of my Portugiesers and the watch runs now fabulously - so if you can life without a running seconds at 6 I recommend that route. the answers to all of your questions above would be yes, since that is exactly what I am doing with mine. I am a little anoyed though that when I asked the seller of my Inge Chrono whether the movement issues have been fixed and the answer was a clear yes - well seems like the Inge Chrono has the same troublesome movement than the Portos -

Update: Point Out The Flaws On The Following Pam´s
lovepanerai replied to olreon's topic in The Panerai Area
well the 24 has the usual datefont/cyclops/no-AR flaw and the bezel should be polished since it doesn't have the black minute hash marks another option would be the PAM199 Regatta - this one is pretty accurate except for the usual flaws - datefont/cyclops/no AR -
Canon 20D and a couple of lenses, for the watch photos I use the Canon EF-s 60mm Macro Lens - very easy to opperate and nice output - surely you have seen my pictures Here are a couple of shots of my setup:

Update: Point Out The Flaws On The Following Pam´s
lovepanerai replied to olreon's topic in The Panerai Area
didn't mean to trash your 243 the slightest bit - it is lovely and I agree to it being the best PAM sub right now - for me the markers are way too big whenever you see it at first glance - they would be a little too big if I would have to look twice - but that's just me - peace -

Movement Pricing? El Primero, 7750, 7753, 2892/3
lovepanerai replied to Defender110's topic in General Discussion
7750 - about $230 - $350, look on eBay but be aware of the Asian 7750 sold as Swiss 7753 - if you are lucky enough to source one you'll have to pay north of $380 don't know about the other ones
