  1. Great review! Glad you had a nice time. Great Pics! Paris is the best!
  2. I can say for sure you can drive your car with it on.................but playing hockey??? These are rep movements.
  3. Well, Eddie and River leaving the building......leaves me sad. I've only been in this game three years and remember buying a lot from Eddie. Half the fun was the email back and forth between eddie or river. Never knew if I got the best price or someone else did.........but I was happy with the product and that's all that mattered. It's also true that life changes and people just move on. Sometimes it just takes a little push and you're somewhere else. I'll Miss them both...........especially Eddie's "thoughtful" comments. Obviously, the game is changing. Thankfully, TTK is still among us, primarily as a collector, and King, etc.. I'm still enjoying the hobby, although I have so many reps now, I probably have more reps than most dealers have stock! What peak's my interest is...................What's next?
  4. The white dial with brown strap is stunning. Congratulations!
  5. Friday is old timers day: A VC regulator purchased from Paul in 2004. Still keeps great time and dial and case are extremely close to original (except they never made the black dial; white only) Saturday: MBW James Bond vintage Sub And Sunday: Omega 80's 'matic
  6. I really resent that people think America is nothing but Rednecks. In fact, they only make up 90% of the population. That means 10% of us aren't.
  7. Perfect? I have the perfect collection for me...........today. Tomorrow???
  8. Great idea. Hope to see it implemented soon.
  9. I've got the chrono version and wasn't sure I would keep it. I switched to the nylon strap, which matches the dial, and that made all the difference for me. A classic design that becomes more attractive on the strap for me. It's now a keeper.
  10. That is a genuine piece of mechanical art! Good luck in restoring it The Zigmeister. I'm sure many here look forward to seeing the results.
  11. Today it's a Pam Regatta: Tomorrow: Pam Daylight
  12. I'm guessing here, but.........Some people have rather empty lives and need to do things like this to feel important?
  13. For me, Daytona with seconds at 6. A beautiful watch with a super CRAP movement.
  14. I guess everybody gets to have an opinion. I've got the portuguese chrono and know of 4 others and everybody's works fine. I do use the Chrono's regularly and have no problems.....yet, after 4 months. I'm not sure that seconds at 6 on this one has the same potential as the Daytona's. maybe still a potential problem but the 5 I personally know of have been running fine. I also have the FA Jones with the Swiss movement and that one is certainly bulletproof. These IWC's are elegant and functionally beautiful.
  15. Got this one from Josh a few months ago. It's my favorite of the IWC panda Chrono's
  16. I have too many that are "must" keep. Including Omega seamaster chrono, IWC ingenieur chrono, Several Pams, a Gen Tudor sub, a rep tudor, James Bond rollie sub, A couple of IWC's, some Breitlings............let me see, what did I leave out?? You asked for ONE???
  17. Today, It's Omega time: Saturday is Pam day (067) Sunday: IWC day
  18. Interesting thread. I picked bup a Bond sub From MBW (via Lucky???) before he went sour. I'm not sure of the model but it gets lots of attention from rolex collectors (they know its a rep and just can't believe how good it is). I'd definitely be in for another one
  19. I dunno.........I'm looking at the watch I'm wearing right now, with it's recessed cannon pin and poor lume.............and I could care less, and either could anyone else who sees it. For those who strive for perfection, who cares if it's a rep. It's a hobby... Not an investment. Go for it!
  20. Richard, you've turned it over to the right guy!
