  1. Glad that you enjoy doing research and your homework. Not the point of this discussion here and off topic. TOPIC: Outright lies by the dealers. Your point: I am happy to pay $.01 for something and get something else delivered..."'cause I knew that I might not get what was advertised." Good for you. We however are NOT happy to pay $.01 for an item that is advertised as X and then get delivered Y... Get it. ...got my beer now and cheers.
  2. Then don't advertiste a watch as having "SWISS ETA" if it ain't got one...and the carrot dangling of "ASIAN SWISS ETA 2892" what the [censored] is that? pretty simple to me...
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/PANERAI-DAYLIGHT-PAM-C...1QQcmdZViewItem not too mention, the hour hand doesn't seem to line up with the 12 on the small hour dial...and the datewheel font look really shabby...sheesh... Am I off here or is someone buying based on the sellers huge feedback... cheers
  4. Looks great. Now I know what is next up on my plate! cheers
  5. Congrats on the gen...they are worth it...well, not all of 'em. cheers
  6. Hi Rob...yup...old age here too...FWIW, My PAM27 has the 2892-A2 in it. ;-) I found some pix over on ioffer of a 2892-A2 movement... ...see if that helps. cheers
  7. I'd open up my PAM 27 but it would void Ziggy's service warranty... Rob, can you comment on mine that you just serviced back in January? If not, I'll just have to crack it in June to have a look... ...curious as hell now... cheers
  8. Thanks for the review...long time preppy here as well and i do love lacoste polos. I almost pulled the trigger on these thinking they might be somewhat better than what I find around thailand....hmmmmm, not so much... I'll stick with the real ones...as the fakos I picked up on my trip are already showin there true quality. cheers
  9. Yup...that red light hides a lot...both in the LOS, AC, Vegas, Cleveland....the girls aren't dumb...and the $$ flashed for them, make's their clothes come off... Now back on topic...i had a bunch of very bad reps from asia lying around. I got bored one day and took my loupe out, had a peek and almost barfed...had a very nice laugh though...when I told a buddy about it...he stopped laughing when I said I was going to smash 'em up--like David Letterman style....he almost had a fit and begged to take 'em off me...so he is now sporting a Gaytona, LV Crapmariner and a GMT Dumpster II... He'd rather spend his hours watching the girls on the chrome polls than out huntin' reps...lol. cheers
  10. @Slay looks like we are related...hobbies are very similiar 'cept I prefer nice folders to guns... And that first pic is sweet....Vanderlei Silva introducing the lovely form of the Chute Boxe guys - KNEE to FACE...he phuckin destroyed Rampage in that fight! Wandy is prolly the best pound for pound fighter ever...only loses to guys like CroCop and a decision to Mark Hunt. [censored] the UFC--Pride RULES! And its FOOTBALL not soccer and I'm american...that can't fookin stand american football...more like amerikan 'run, pass, catch, throwball'....thank god for satellite...EPL every Sat and Sunday...plus Champions League... Anyway, and as far as porn...here are some of my girlfriends that Santa brought me for Christmas Booty Babe Art My other hobbies are Red Wine, Cigars and cooking. Oh my BMW X5 gets a little love too... X5 cheers
  11. Yup. I will second that...Great watch...I can see that Andrew took very good care of you... cheers
  12. Welcome to the club. Hater. cheers
  13. @Section8 Very nice RX7! I almost bought a 3rd gen RX7 back in the late 90s while living in california...man, test drove that monster--wow! Hit the accelerator and I almost got whiplash!
  14. I think we have officially hijacked this thread! Yes, I will admit that George is a pleasant and easy person to conduct a transaction with however, for those of us that routinely frequent the LOS and make an MBK stop, sounds like a no brainer to spend a little holiday time and score a decent rep...at a signifcant cost savings. ...sheesh, I waste er spend more hours with my ace glued to the chair reading the posts on this board as that is my hobby and part of my enjoyment... I guess I could have saved a lot of time by just plunking down my cash to George and waited for the postman to deliver m goods. silly me
  15. Awesome....Thank you L for your words of wisdom and for sharing your experience! I will definitely give it a go...just waiting for the damn dolloar to gain back some ground on the baht...I remember when it was around 44 to the dollar...now its 35.... cheers
  16. Yup...well after about 21 trips, I guess I am still a tourist since my skin color is wrong... and still a novice on getting the elusive best reps...I gave up on the catalogs years ago...its still fun to see what they say and pull out from underneath... My question though still remains as to how to find the elusive MBW vintage sub without having to go through George... cheers Thx Pug...those catalogs are fun though...wishful thinking...
  17. When you're at MBK, how do you get the MBW version? Do you specifically request swiss? I could never really communicate very well with the girls in the booths...so they always show me those fantasy pieces...I tell 'em NO, I want the best they have -- like in the pictures that they show...and I ususally get that...mai meeeeeee....NOT HAVE....so i just smile and move on... Any insight would be greatly appreciated...as I'll also be there soon and am looking to score some vintage subs... cheers
  18. ...chaps..hmmm...not them buttless chaps....i just sneezed coffee out my nostrils onto the keyboard. Thanks for that visual.... ...remember SNL's Ambiguously Gay Duo? "come on Ace let's go....Right Gary!" funny sh*t...
  19. Damn dollar...you guys and your euros should be cleaning up right now. I know I would. My proverbial $.02. First rollie was at the AD complete with ass lickin' and all that booty smoochin...was it necesary...did I need it? Is it worth it? Not really... The first pannie was bought new from a grey marker dealer almost 3 years ago and I hate to say this but I could prolly get back MORE than I paid for it....in my opinion--a real score! The next pannie was bought at the AD but I had worked up quite a rapport with the local guy as they have 3 stores here and it was their 113 (white dial) that in their opinions--wasn't going to move--so between phone calls and lots of visits, i was able to get it below list and again, I will prolly get to sell it for MORE than what was paid... So, to sum it all up...you don't necessarily need the AD "experience"...when i look back to what i paid on my rollie and the actual wholesale cost--I wanna throw up...the stealer er pardon me--the dealer makes a LOT of money on all of these watches. ...go grey market...the movements on these pannies are just redecorated basic Unitas/ETA movements that any watchmaker can repair for you should you need some service. do some research on the pannie boards and tz....i spent about 4 months of research there before committing to my seller. cheers funny thing...the gens are all collecting dust again as l am lovin this 188 with the 7753 movement....okay, shutnup....
  20. My CGs from Jimmy came from Taiwan I believe.... :cc_chinese:
  21. LOL...yeah, I dropped the sub (hey, is that a...shadup already)..kept the TT for now... Looking forward to the review...i'll prolly end up getting one anyway...'cause the LV bag's color CAN ONLY GO WITH CERTAIN OUTFITS... Oh man...let's not talk cars....two words there--CIVIC and X5... yup...u know that drill... ...PIS...love that. Wonder if they use it... cheers
  22. john... you, me and half of the internet have been asking that question for some time now...
  23. Andrew, do you know if this rep will fit the gen base desktop attachment....'cause this mutha is too big for my wrist but it would look oh so sweet on my desk.... cheers
