I will second that for the The Illusionist (watched for third time last night)....The Prestige, Babel, Syriana and The Good German are all excellent movies that have been in the DVD player more than once...I haven't seen The Contender Also, The Departed movie was outstanding...I highly recommend that one....I plan on watching it again and again....its a keeper. Very good movie from Scorcese Let me add Apocalypto along with Pan's Labrynth. Visual treats as they say....

both my gen 111 and 113 wind very smoothly and take about 110 "winds" until I hit the stop....my rep 114 with swiss movement is just as smooth in its winding but it only takes about 60 "winds" until it stops.... I always wondered the same about these differences.... cheers

I'll cry on that one.....since I have a genuine TT blue sub...and yours is making me sob..... Actually, my fako MBK ROO gets more looks...but I am agreement with JON...its the man that should get noticed...not his frickin' watch. I prefer to wear my Seiko Marinemaster these days as anyone with any knowledge of the brand knows its the shiznitty next to the new Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT....and I don't need watches to get laid...can't remember which member made that comment....

I couldn't agree more. $20k for this watch is assinine....I remember the fiddy's back in '04 when I discovered this brand....I remember their prices back then....crazy then and definitely crazy now if you ask me... What I don't get is the recent "WTB FIDDY" ads you see constantly on the fora...where in the phuck did this come from and start? Its phuckin' out of hand....who knew you could double and maybe even triple your money in about 3 years time! A lot of the watches are hyped and the lemmings just follow it.... Remember on the risti boards last summer when the "sub club" was constantly being hyped....and lots of knuckleheads jumped on board..."hey yah, I want a sub now".... Now, the sub can't get the time of day with all the 249 nuthugggers....sorry, I don't really care for the 249...'course, I have never had one on my wrist so I'll disclose that now...maybe that'll change... I personally think the 232 looks better...but what do I know...as I am definitely NOT privy to the cognoscenti and this latest FIDDY love fest... cheers

Very well said V....this is our hobby and a lot of fun. Its funny how I am sure many of us have counted the $$ spent on our reps and have questioned ourselves with "hey, i could've bought a gen with that $$"....

Not sure what $20 reps "you hear about" that are available in tland...unless you are talking about patpong or worse, walking street....but the mbk reps that are discussed here...are THE BEST reps you can get short of highly modded ones available from the various members. I have no problem spending up $600 for an MBK rep....the same on a highly modded PAM with all the right mods. cheers

I just pulled this back from the sales section....AP Brown Hornback on order....its going to be a keeper...

of course...I have never paid retail....I wasn't in the mood to haggle that day...especially when my budget was $10-12k....most he wanted to move was about $2k...and that wasn't going to work for me. I still love my MBK ROO...going to get the AP conversion kit and a Brown Horback strap....it'll look great on my rep. I did have it up for sale....but not anymore as its a keeper now as the folks at MBK aren't making the dark dials anymore...or at least I am told. And have to agree on the Safari...it is a georgeous piece but when I found out that it didn't have any luminova I took it off my wish list...

Thx V...mine's a gen too ....and that MP strap is nearly identical in color to the MP PAV strap...I had it and sold it as it was almost identical. I love it and highly recommend its addition to your strap collection. Wish I could find/afford the real PAV strap....

Man oh man that is sick....I lUVLUVLUVLLUVLUV (JIMcareySpeak) those 8 series....dayaaaam.....I do love 'em... Wifey said no on my last jaunt to the bimmer dealer...ended up with an X5....as she wanted to know where we'd put the kids in a coupe? I replied simply..."in the glovebox honey"....that got me a hand across the face... Guess that was the wrong answer... Euno, that 8 is oh SO sick.....

My 252 with its MP Homage strap....nearly identical to the PAV line.
