  1. For now...I have two inbound....113H and a 232....those were my two choices....but if it just had to be one...it would be his 232. Looking forward to their arrival! cheers
  2. If successful.....he'll make over $5.4k for his 111i.... He's already made just under $1k on the bids.... Interesting....
  3. Rob, You are missed already....Thank you so much for your many posts and humongous contribution to the members on this board. A bigger thank you for "looking out" for us newbs when it comes to the many intricacies of watch smithing. I have a lot to learn. You are one of the biggest assets to this site. And a major reason why I "tune in" every day here... I hope to see you back....
  4. Very nice freddy....I think your re-work on the CG is excellent.
  5. Absolutely beautiful rolli....a real winner you have there! Thanks for sharing!
  6. Here is another Cartier for $3k....always classic pieces Cartier Tank
  7. There is a very nice Cartier Mens Tank Francaise Automatic over on TZ for $2.6k....classic piece...
  8. Ya...not too jazzed about the lack of FB.....saw the previous Harley buys as well.... Thanks for lookin' out for me Freddy! I'll keep looking for a decent 6263 franken gem...... cheers
  9. ...You had me a.) ....I'll keep looking....
  10. Saw this on the bay ebay daytona Seller makes no bones about it...its completely aftermarket with a gen VJ727 movement.... It looks really nice and I'm half tempted to consider it...anyone else looking at it...considering it?
  11. oh that is giddyup....I'd be up for one of those in a heartbeat....what do the cost in the gen categor?
  12. Ticino 1938 Marina Militare homage....needs a better strap but still nice.
  13. Reminds of a night in patpong.... Farang sitting there, arguing with the thai about how he doesn't know how to run a business....and the farang wife sitting there eggin' her husband on...."you tell 'em sweetie"... It was pititful. Good for a laugh....and a big ol' crowd of tourists too...everyone...awestruck. Never, ever in my life saw a patpong vendor telling a farang to phuck off...it was hilarious....stupid farang just wasn't gettin' it that day...
  14. ....don't know which exchange rate calculator you are using but you ain't getting an MBK Sub for $185.... 7,500 thai baht is the going rate last I heard....that is currently $245 per xe.com...could be less if you're inside the kindgdom as diff xchange rate is used....
  15. I know i have that beat for worst watch drop shipped by one of our dear dealers....i won't mention any names as he corrected the abomination...but it wasn't even close to the picture...yes, he had the right model number but that was about it.... Sorry to see that 27a....hopefully you can get it replaced quickly...
  16. No glass on vintage rollies...only plastic aka plexi crystals....if want sapphire...you need to look at the modern subs/sd
  17. Agree....I prefer the sapphire subs...but afaik...all vintage rollie pieces are plastic crystals.....and scratch magnets at that...for some folk, that is the charm....they love that worn-in look...
  18. Thanks again for the pictures and posting...looking forward to more!
  19. Very nice Ray...thanks for the pix and the post!
  20. Its at the bottom Marco.....you should have a drop down box...change back to VIP mode....
  21. That looks pretty good tourby...I would like to see the numbers enlarged and moved off the stick markers a little more towards the center...too much black on that dial in proportion to the rest of the face... I'm still looking for a decent UNITAS based Flieger....I like the big second hand....not a fan of tiny seconds on BIG PILOT style watches....but that is just me.
  22. Tourby...my two choices are one with date and one without...very clean dial for me....with big, blued steel hands and nice, bright lume. I love the GO Senator Navigator....a lot people have problems with the "eating 4" date...not me....I love it. Just NO LOGOs..... I prefer oversized, onion crowns as I find them easier to turn. Case thickness is important as well to handle the biger crown.... Looking forward to whatever you build...just prefer 45mm or larger for the Pilot...otherwise, I'd get a Stowa Airman....
