I'm mingling with some colleagues today...and one of them knows I am a big watch pig...so he was dying to show me his fako B&R 01-96...sorry, no pix, but its the one with the big date. It was a definitely a fantasy piece as it was "PVD" and I know they only come in stainless steel case with either black or white dials....gotta say that his rep was extremely high quality...he only showed it to me 'cause the seconds hand was kind of wocky and he wanted to know what he could do to fix it. His 01-96 had a very good date cutout window and the font was excellent. The dial sure looked spot on. Only the case was wrong. Even the stick markers looked very good. I've looked at Josh and Andrew's site and can't seem to locate this model. My colleague says a friend got it for him in thailand....just wondering if anyone knew which one of our dealers might be offering this piece. Othewise, i'll have to catch a plane myself.... thanks

I will second what ByTor has stated...its really what makes you happy....I too have "wrestled" with the $1k modded rep...when a used 16610/111/112 can be had in the mid $3k range.... Personally, $500 for a gen bracelet for my MBW 1680 ain't gonna happen as I am quite content with it, 'cept for the crystal, crown and CG mods...YMMV

I have the L2...its great light. I also have a modified L1, E2D, U2 and L4 by Surefire. I also have a couple Fenix lights lying around...to include their new T1 light. Bright and cheap. I also have a nice Titanium "Nautilus" custom made by Muyshondt and a custom light called the "Gotham" by Leef. Take a look at Lighthound for info on that one. Head on over to candlepowerforums....you'll find lots of info there. cheers

Wowsers....I'll bet my breeder knows that bloodline....At one time I had 4 Shar-Pei all from his original brought over from china dogs....Two have passed on but the other two are still kickin' it...an all chocolate/ebony one and the other a white/ivory one. Yes the hx of the breed is something else....took a long time to get recognized by the AKC...tough, sweet dogs and playful as hell... okay...way off topic here mods....lol

I don't wear a fancy rep/gen to the gym and I don't dawdle....I wear my watch everywhere I go. It is used to tell the time. Nothing narcissistic about that. I guess I'm just goofing off at the gym based on your assertion.

Way to go UB7...my HBB lite with ceramic was sent off to Rob/Chieftang for some AR love....I can't wait to get it back...I am a huge convert to the HBBs.... Still lusting over this one too

CC...if people could see the 233 in person...they'd have a change of mind....all the print media and pictures suck at capturing how tasty that watch is....i'm still holding out hope that I can get one this year.... ...note to self...must stop buying reps and all the other toyz....

Flame suit on....233 for me. I was lucky enough to test drive the BP when it first came out. I loved it but was not blown away by it....that was in 2005...fast forward to October 07 and my AD got a 233 in....I had no interest in it really as I too preferred the simple designs of Panerai....well, I got a chance to put it on my wrist and I was just blown away. I never thought I would care for the domed crystal but it was such a stunner in the flesh....I really want to add this one to my watchbox.... Don't get me wrong...if I had the funds..I'd own both for sure....as I do think the BP flieger is a beautiful watch but for me the 233 has everything i want.....PR, Date, GMT....and it doesn't have the most SCREWED up DATE CRYSTALS for an upper end watch that the pannies have....I sold my Gen 252 cause the cyclops is crap....every time I look at the date....its distorted....irritated the holy hell out of me.... But I'm wierd... cheers

MSM.....gotta comment here...that stuff is excellent. I started taking it back in 1998 on the recommendation from my dog breeder.....huh? Yes, he bred Chinese Shar-Pei's and he used to give the MSM to them. He had it in powder form in huge tubs....he claimed that he started taking it for his aches and pains and how much it helpled him...and so he started giving it to his dogs....he was one of the original members that brought the Shar-Pei from China back in the 60s to the states that helped revive the breed. So he did a lot of experimentation on the dogs with all kinds of voodoo and s h it.....but MSM was something he swore by... I was a huge gym rat then and that stuff was a miracle powder for sure....don't need it now but I highly recommend it for folks with joint pain...

Hey Victoria....I still have my Yellow Sport Walkman....I used to match it up with my Swatch Yamaha Racer....back in the 80's...girl, weren't we sooooooo kewl back then....rockin' out to OMD and the Thompson Twins....LOL :yeah:
