  1. I am in total agreement....if I'm going to drop $800 for something close...I might as well go big and get the VJ72 and pony up another $1k+ and do it right.... Call me the connoisseur....but for this particular model...I have to agree with Euno....I would want it as close as possible....and I'd be willing to pay that little extra to ensure that.... ...and I do realize its not a gen but I don't have $50k+ for some vintage piece with a crooked hand.... :yucky:
  2. I was smiling when i typed it.... Just trying to help Rxus expand his knowledge of the brand...
  3. Sorry mate...need to correct ya Its "Oh Fi CHEE nay" = OFFICINE.....it ain't spanish...its italian....
  4. Oh Fi CHEE nay = OFFICINE.....it ain't spanish...its italian.... Wow...you guys are really butchering up the italian....
  5. Panerai no have double sided AR..... Newer GEN models have single side AR like the 111, 112, 113 ...some of the older GEN models NO AR....like the 27A
  6. Glad Zig got to "practice" on Kruzer's 27A....Ziggy will be getting my second 27A for the works sometime after the new year... Beautiful tritium lume and good read Rob...thanks for sharing your skills with us! I look forward to getting mine done. cheers
  7. l'italiano..... Apparently, the first "perfect batch of MBK EODs got all bought up by an italian guy.....which basically left TTK and Narikaa with the second "not so perfect batch" of MBK EODs.... I should have bought mine then on the spot...but I figured I could get one down the road from Neil....which ain't gonna happen now as this current batch that MBK has is NOT as good as his first one... I'm getting OT here...lol ...you were on a gurney in the midwest.... what happened? That midwest is a long ways away from Miami
  8. Hey Victoria....sorry for making you re-read the whole thread 'cause I forgot to resize my pix.....the AP is actually the MBK themes version...I should've bought the MBK EOD back in June when I had one of the first ones in my hand....long before the Italian swooped in and bought 'em all....screwin up Narikaa and TTK... Anyway, here is something for your trouble...its not a wristshot...but a quickie snap with my camera a few weeks back... I was "fondling" some panny lovelies....you know, 292, 249, 233...that gold 10 day thingy...the 1/8 second thingy and just about every other watch in the panny arsenal....:ltongue: It was disgusting....
  9. Golfman...that is very nice looking. How is the lume on it? I have been very close to purchasing this model from Steinhart as I love the size, the dial and that big, fat onion crown.... cheers
  10. Have you looked at Stowa and Laco? They are 6498s...center seconds offerings... I am also waiting to see Tourby's larger case Pilot offerings....say 45mm.....with date perhaps....
  11. Yep... 13 Nov..... And just now....
  12. Well said...Panerai is trying to move its brand more upscale.....and the Ferrari line?!?....WTF....I thought Panerai was a diving watch company but that niche is gone now....Panerai charging over $4k for a UNITAS and ETA movement based watches ...please...our reps are just as good! Remember when these watches were $2800? I do love their 233 and so called "in-house" movements and really want to get one into my watchbox...but sheeeit...at $12k and with their semi-annual price increases...that will be almost out of reach for the average joe like me.... BACK OT...The ti PAMs never did too much for me...but the 36 I might be interested in.... Sure wish TWP would get back to me on the Swiss 113H I have been asking about
  13. Here is a poster re-thinking his position on homage pieces...(he bought the Steinhart Nav B-Uhr Pilot) an obvious homage to the IWC Big Pilot and all the early Fliegers..... http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=87250 post number 7 "..... I mainly collect Omegas and Rolex and after buying this watch, it does make me wonder exactly what we spend the extra $$$ on when making a watch purchase from prestige houses...." Funny how poster-Griff just couldn't stop bashing the homage pieces....and how this poster over on the watchuseek forums is questioning his own omega/rolex purchases...
  14. AP ROO with the now HARDTOFIND dk blue/black dial...its a keeper
  15. ....well s h i t young jedi, why didn't you say it was about the ladies...since its about gettin' your groove on.....you might need to adjust your fro and change your wardrobe... The Omega POs are quite the popular rep these days...seems that there are a few mods that will need to be made to your new "ice breaker" that will soon adorn your wrist before it will command some respect from your fellow WIS....but the floozie on your arm, well she'll just think your the cat's meow sportin' your JAMES BOND OMEEEEEGA watch... You are in the right place mate to learn about the best reps available...personally, in my neck of the woods, watches don't pull ....VERY expensive cars and lots of stoopid cash reign supreme... Stick around for awhile...if the PO don't work...I'm sure there are other reps here that will help you get noticed....thus improving your scorecard with the wimmin' Welcome aboard....
  16. Who in their right mind would wear an over played, over hyped, convited felon making JACOB bling bling make me throw up watch....obviously, someone that wants to get noticed. Nervous Noob couldn't sleep because he wasn't getting noticed wearing his gen BULGARI.......so I simply made a suggestion for him. After all...that is why we are all here...to get the best effin' reps on our wrists so that we can GET NOTICED! Joke....get it?
  17. very nice indeedeeeo......and nice pix too!
