  1. Had a molar done a couple months back with a ceramic cap and a screw inside to support it... $1000+ and the worst part was the bloody pain as you said and the painkillers dont do nothing at the time the drilling is going on... next time I am just getting the damn thing pulled! Seriously... good luck
  2. Great watch, made even better! The waiting really is a killer isint it.. but tell me this, after all that work are you still wearing it on a rep strap ? need to sort that out too and it will be perfect
  3. They wouldn't do anything, just wonder why its a different colour and slate off AP First thing I do on most of my reps is put on a gen strap which makes a huge difference as I often have my watch taken off my wrist as we all love watches. I have quite a few gen's as well but its just a personal choice as its not a nice feeling to get caught out as I have several watch collectors / dealers with whom I often meet up socially. The main reason I buy rep's is to decide if I want the gen and sadly with AP's im not really feeling it as don't find them very comfy on the wrist even with buckle so have decided to keep it with reps. I am in Europe for the summer actually (I can't deal with the summer heat there), will see if im going to Madrid - was gonna go last week actually but decided on Italy instead. Would be good to meet up for a drink or three!

    Hair loss

Well I was one of those guys that started going bald at 24/25... I decided at 26 to cut it own to grade 3 which was pretty short at the time and then 2 and now its at 0 and I am still south of 35. I almost went for hair transplant at one of the best doctors in the US that is mentioned on various hair forums (yep they exist) but was put off as a friend of mine went in and was left with a big scar on the back of his head where the donor hair was taken from and it did not take either! I did grow some facial scruff as didn't quite like the completely bald and clean shaved look but I tried Advanced Hair Studio and rogaine and all that but none of it worked so figured just accept it rather then try to hold on.. besides bald is the new black
  5. No problem, I was gonna get the rep but decided not too only because it would be too close for comfort having two of the exact same watches in the same circle. The rep does look good but the noticeable difference in the color of the gold is one of the the main reasons I have stopped wearing my RG AP ROO around these guys as well, will pick up the Montoya for when im traveling though as have worn the gen Montoya for a couple days and have grown very fond of it.
  6. I'm glad someone is still enjoying this post, yeap still there! Here's a couple more shots for you
  7. I use WU all the time, they have an extensive amount of locations to send / receive money from worldwide and costs about $10-15 on the transaction roughly and is very simple and straight forward and instant - only wait is for the person to go pick up the cash! You will need to take ID with you though
  8. LOL yeap, 100 Euro's for a 15 min ride is insane and 50 euro's flat rate taxi anywhere no matter how close or far... and especially the clothes shops about 30 euro mark-up on most items. Two times ? two different ladies ?
  9. The GMT Master II went on a little trip this week and it found a little place called Venice, very much a tourist trap at times but there is just something beautiful and almost magical to the city at times. Thought I would share a few of my photos. Choose the #1 rated hotel on tripadvisor called Al Ponte Antico, it really is fantastic boutique hotel and the owner Mateo is a watch fan to boot, he has a 111, Sub and Seamaster amongst others... very much worth a visit if you haven't been - but be warned... its not a place you can really do on a budget! A Ventian institution but at 19euro's for a very average bellini... they might have invented it but a 2 course meal averaging 320 Euro's it doesnt seem worth it Finally some wristies, venice stylee! A much better meal with an amazing view at Lineadombra
  10. As we all know, this peice was a result of hard work by Dutchy(theflyingdutchman), its one of the most accurate HBB Gold's available on the market at this present time. Just to avoid any confusion, Dutchy is not a retailer he simply collaborated with one in having this put together for the community with the help of the community, with certain small but important changes that are not there on the 'cartel' versions as it were correcting a few flaws. Just received mine about twenty minutes ago and it was one of the nicest packages I have ever opened - packed perfectly with multiple layers of protection First impressions, yay the buckle is black and gold like the gen and it's really not as blingy as I thought but a nice subdued black and gold because of the brushed effect. The AR is great and so is the rotor(sticker but a good one), not sure which factory was making the craptastic HBB's in the middle with the weird rotors and what not but this and the HBB Ceramic is how it should be. Lastly the only let down in my opinion is the 'lined' strap, feels cheap and plasticky on this otherwise great piece - if you can, try and have this swapped out for the 'smooth' one which is a lot better. Overall, an amazing rep! Here are a few quick and dirty shots - will pop it in the light box later on when I have time. Now comes the month long wait till Francisco is free to swap the screws out for silver ones
  11. I have remembered this post ever since I read it and have always wanted to go pay a visit! Anyone been there since? Planning on going to Italy next week and this will have to be a must! Just wondering is driving the only way to get to this place ? Planning on staying in Milan and popping down to check it out on a day trip
  12. Not a fan of the olden AP dial but can't help but admire the hard work / effort and skill that goes into these amazing frankens - keep it up and us drooling
  13. You are killing me with these beautiful frankens !!! Absolutely stunning - amazing work! if you do ever decide to offer this as a service or want to part with any of them - you will have a customer here guaranteeeeedd
  14. Sorry dont know where to get these but I guess I now know what wedding band I'll be wearing when I get married
  15. LOL I love the disclaimer about don't take it apart Great thread, thanks for posting it! Sadly the recent batch of deployments coming with our HBB's are very poor quality. Don't think there are any aftermarket dep/buckles available are there?
  16. Thanks for all the feedback and breakdown, do appreciate it! Good luck with the mods
  17. Congrats! So the main question is, does it live up to the hype of the best Santos rep so far ? I believe you also had the Rocket and/or the PWC ones ? or am I mistaken
  18. If your wife was up for that, its a good thing you guys are married now j/k You guys both look very happy, wishing you all the very best!
  19. Very nice esp the Survivor, the darker watches are really growing on me again!
  20. LOL... funny you should say that. I just sent a email - hoping Mary can track me one down Liking all the black love on here, they really are starting to grow on me!
  21. No blackmagic but some Hublot love for you... the RG was mine but I gave it away - stupid move as I really miss it time for another one - it has to be said though the white / RG does turn a loooot of heads!
  22. Not just nice but very very nice, pretty much as good as a HBB can get! The caseback looks brilliant as well, definately an improvement over the colored one - curious as to the reason why the old one cracked i.e dropped? Missed out on the ceramics and now really missing my RG HBB after seeing these photos... This is definitely a keeper - if however you do decide you are bored with it just lemme know, will jump at the chance to take it off your hands (hey it doesn't hurt to ask)
  23. King claims that all she now stocks is the new updated version in all models. She sent me some pics, I dunno maybe I've been looking at them for too long but the DW still looks very similiar to the old one to me EDIT: actually scratch that... just had a look in comparison with my RG/Volcano's and it does seem to be a improvement in that the wheel cyclops is not being cut but not enough to warrant a upgrade on my current reps but certainly worth it on a new purchase.. Ok time for a silver themes I reckon
  24. Have to agree, very nice.. another amazing franken there Sander!
