Glad to see you are feeling better Neil....................Although I do sense that your medication may be affecting your vocabulary a bit with that statement. Never the less I did laugh out loud when i read that one...........................Nancy.

A little bit of coke couldn't hurt with those chicks. -
I will make the ultimate sacrifice and volunteer to be a recipient if it will make you guys feel good. Pm me for my address. I love to help people.

Interesting, kind of like a fat chick with a good personality. You'll see her in a dark place but hope your friends don't catch you. Not my cup o' tea.

I agree. The same case back sticker too only the HE valve has a smaller insert on mine and the ring around it is a bit thicker. I really don't see what is funny in that clip. British humor I guess. With this one Trusty is laughin all the way to the bank.

That's the last time I let Eddie drive my car!!!

That is the most ignorant thing I have heard. I stayed out of this thread until it slowed down a bit but I can't sit here and read this nonsense. Josh and Andrew's sites both have different new items on their home pages every day. A lot of their stock is completely different and from different factories. It is only recently that this wave of super reps have come to the market place. Angus, josh and Trusty may have had some influence in the design of these new reps. The manufacturers said I will give you an exclusive if you can move so many pieces in a month. The only way to do that is to pool all their customers. Did anyone ever stop to consider that maybe this "cartel" is a good thing? Maybe the dealers got together to guarantee the maker a larger amount of sales and get a better price. Did anyone think of that? Volume is key in any business. Can anyone find any brand of watch that has automatic movement (swiss or asian) over 200 grams of high grade stainless steel (whether its 316L or better) sapphire crystal (synthtetic or genuine) working chronograph and AR coating for $300 to $400? I don't think so. If our BCE had the name invicta on it it would be well over $1,500. I also believe if the dealers didn't collaborate our prices would be higher. Look at the price on EL's IWC pilot watch. He obviously has an exclusive on that one for a while but he is the only one. If he guaranteed the maker X # of sales i'm sure the price would be lower. This is the way Wal-Mart keeps their prices low. They have tremendous buying power. I seriously don't think this "cartel" has any bad intentions or are trying to corner any market, but I do think they are smarter business people than we give them credit for. Keep in mind this is a lot of speculation, but I have ran many of my own businesses as well as a $14 million per year corporation and if there is one thing I know it's marketing.

I believe the dial stops at the rehaut, no?

Other: How about a special "watch critic" section. Kind of like the Siskel and Ebert of replica watches. Apoint a well known and respected member to review a watch when it is released. The dealer can voluntarily send a watch to this person for inspection. This person will remove the back of the watch take detailed photos and return the watch to the dealer. Then the findings will be posted on each model and if it passes the watch from that dealer only will be given a thumbs up. This may take care of the description problem, then there is always bait and switch. As for the price fixing, what can you do? Better customers may always get better deals. I liked it better when the prices weren't posted and you make your deal and keep your mouth shut. I always wait a month or two or longer to buy a watch because I know the more dealers that carry it, the more the price will come down. I have learned patience and trusty said himself the exclusives are only temporary.

That is the Americas cup I would like to see replicated. TT rose gold and titanium. They aren't that expensive gen used though.

Non-Automatic Alternative to the Daytona 7750 movement?
jfreeman420 replied to aresnans's topic in The Rolex Area
You may want to look into a lemania copy based vintage daytona. They are manual wind and for the most part are pretty accurate. Although I have 6 or seven asia 7750 3 of them being modified daytonas and only one has died. Maybe im lucky. -
Maybe they will have this service for women next?

In the books he is not described as an attractive man but more rough around the edges and develops charisma as he develops his spy skills. There has never been a gadget that Q could use to improve his looks.

I used to mess around with the mc-303 back in the day. Has a lot of features for an inexpensive machine. Now its just the Technics 1200's and a shitload of vinyl.

Rent a Center has rented jewelry for a long time. They also have rent n roll here in florida where you can rent some $6,000 26" rims to put on your 1972 chevy caprice. The finest way to flush your money down the toilet.

I just saw the movie this weekend. Not the best Bond I have seen (and I have seen all of them). A shame he wrecked the Aston Martin within 5 seconds of driving it. How did the girl know what was wrong with the defibrillator? How did she even know it was a defribillator? IMO, the last hand of poker could have been played out a little more dramatically. My final thought on this movie was that I feel it should have been set in the 1950's when it was written since it is a prequal to the other Bond movies. This movie was also lacking a super villain. Nobody to really hate in the movie. I kind of felt sorry for the guy that lost all his clients money and the poker game. There weren't even any great gadgets in this one. Maybe technology has cought up with Bond and his toys don't impress me anymore. He could have fired at least one missle from the Aston Martin.

Does anyone know a source for aftermarket TT and/or all gold plated bracelets for the Breitling Chronomat Evolution? I want to buy the TT and gold versions but they don't come with TT or gold bracelets. I have found 20mm bracelets but none with the 22mm proper endlinks for the BCE. I figure if I could find a good TT aftermarket bracelet I can switch clasps. As for the full gold I may have to live with it on a strap or a generic clasp

Found this while surfing. The make custom watches: 121time Design your own online and see the results. Thinking of making one that says "Genuine Replica" on the dial.

Where to track down Canal Street Reps online?

@Richard: You are getting me excited with those Daytonas. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM Bling.. -
Another scam is a tv, computer, stereo equipment etc. They have this box all sealed and stapled looks brand new. You buy it deeply discounted get home, open it up and you find a shiny new brick. Never fell for that one.
-
Ahhh the memories.... This scam also has another version. Happened to me several times, but I fell for it twice. A guy comes up to you and opens his hand. He has this huge gold chain wrapped in a paper towel. It is stamped 14K and the guy even pulls out a file and starts filing away at the links. Solid gold all the way through. So you figure he just snatched it and wants a quyick sale. Couple hundred bucks when the thing is worth $2,000. I buy one my friend buys a bracelet. We both turn green. Solid jewelers brass. The second time I only got took for $20.00, but hey i take a chance. You never know. I have gotten some great deals from crackheads at 2 am.

Really interesting watch. Good to see Jacob focusing more on movements than how many diamonds he can fit on a watch (did I really say that?) This reminds me of the Parmigiani Bugatti.

So..................................... Who has the best Sub? Believe it or not I have 23 reps and not one black dial sub. I do have a seadweller though.
-
What I would like to know is............................ What kind of comments were the other people in the waiting room making about the crazy guy taking pictures of his watch? It couldn't have been filled with members of this board, could it?

Yes the dollar is very weak right now and the yen has been making a big rally against it. Purchasing from asia will still get you a better deal than Europe.
