Can Anyone Identify This Antique Ladies Omega?
jfreeman420 replied to yodaddynukka's topic in The Omega Area
Looks like it was made in the 1960's to 1970's and I believe the band and case are aftermarket. I have seen many similiar works with Bulovas and even some old Rolexes. This is all speculation of course, I can't be certain. -
Only a genuine Rolex sticker will wear like that. My guess is you added a replica bracelet and aftermarket bezel insert and kept the genuine clasp.

That is highly vulgar and innapropriate. I am highly offended by the sight of that disgusting video.......................... Is what my secretary said when I showed it to her. Some chicks can't take a joke.

The Ultimate Ot Question: How Big Is Your Dic
jfreeman420 replied to ryyannon's topic in The looney bin
The last time i showed a girl my dic she said "who's that gonna please"? I said "ME". She was a real "head" case. -
LOL. That is too funny. @Dutchy: How did you get all those pictures of my ex? Had to get rid of her, not hot enough you know.

I would say real. If they ever repped the VC overseas chrono it would be on my wrist in a jiffy.

I've seen a couple members on here like By-Tor who are only 1. :cc_confused: BTW, I had my first Rolex Rep at 12.

Maybe we should get him a good rep, return it and say no reward necessarry.......... -
This weekend I watched Taxi Driver for the 57th time along with One flew over the Cuckoo's nest and a great new movie The Departed. Highly recommended. The other two, well just trying to give my new girl a bit of culture. She is stuck on watching dumb chick flicks with terrible acting and predictable stories. How many times can you watch Legally Blonde?

Where Did You Graduate From And What Degrees Do You Hold?
jfreeman420 replied to thomasng's topic in The looney bin
There is no reason to spend $100,000 or more on an education than to have a successful career. No one goes to school, gets an MBA and works at Mcdonalds just to say they had a character building experience. No matter what anyone says, money is the biggest motivator. Anyone who says otherwise is broke or full of [censored]. -

Who you calling arrogant, you ass$%*#? Maybe we have a right to be arrogant because we live in the greatest freakin' country in the world... It is quite odd however that europe is leading. Last time this poll was done USA had a big lead. Maybe europe should be separated into countries, or are all europeans pretty much drunk pissy bastards? Disclaimer: this reply was in no way intended to imply that all europeans are drunk pissy bastards. The USA acknowledges that many people from europe are genuine good upstanding citizens and many Americans are drunk pissy bastards, although usually from European descent.

I was going to stay out of this, but I feel like adding my 2 cents, hell it's friday. First of all I don't think this standardized grading will ever work. Most of the dealers are dropshippers and never see the product, thus many sub par watches will slip through the cracks anyway. Most collectors (i believe, correct me if im wrong) never open the back of their watch. With the shortage of ETA's soon there will not be a choice of swiss, also with the chinese technology you will soon not know the difference. I believe most of our dealers try to be as honest as they can, but there is always 3 sides to a salesman's story (theirs, the customers', and the truth). This little thing of ours is not walmart, target, or sears. It is an underground, illeagal hobby. I treat the dealers like restaurants, if I have just one bad meal I don't eat there again. Caveat Emptor.

That is the birthday of the person who assembled the watch. There is never any rhyme or reason as to why the asians put certain markings where they do. Why engrave a Rolex crown on the rotor of an ETA movement? I think I will play 2160 today in the play 4 lottery. Lucky number. -
I got dibs on his motorcycle helmet.

The term triple wrapped was invented by replica marketers several years ago. All it really means is heavy plating. The difference between 14K and 18K in TT models is negligible.

Some reps have gotten better, mainly the new wave of brands other than Rolex. Many of the Rolex models have deteriorated with wron case sizes, bad dials, and obvious shortcuts that the masses don't notice. It also used to be ETA or Asian. That's it, no asian ETA, swiss asian chinese 23.5 jewel this or modified that. Sapphire was sapphire and glass was glass. There used to be honor among thieves (it is still somewhat an underground hobby). Amen to that. People ask where and how much? River, email him.

Be honest and admit you love saying I told you so...... If you are saying what I think you are saying, we know who started it all. But that ship has sailed a long time ago with losing lots of credibility, although many people still roll the dice. The few that remain seem to be following the business model of the infamous abay, etal; and who can blame them? It works and is successful. The one thing that rubs me the wrong way is the price fixing and collusion going on. Its like the four families having a sit down to run the Irish out of New York. If this keeps up, prices will continue to rise and quality will continue to fall.

Why would you say that? If you like gold buy the gold. There is not much you can do to mod a TT or gold watch aside from buying super expensive solid gold or genuine parts that may or may not fit. The best advice to give a noob is to just buy what you like. Remember it is only a replica and not designed to be an heirloom to pass down to the grandkids. It will not be perfect in SS or TT. I have never modded a single watch and have owned over 200 over the years. It doesn't make much sense to me to drop that kind of dough on a replica unless you can do the work yourself and have something part genuine. It is also terrible to advise someone to dump tons of money into something wil no resale value. Wear it enjoy it, and buy another. It's only a couple hundred bucks, not a couple thousand.

Nice pics, however I would like to see you photograph something other than a sub. What's your next purchase? Good photography and great watches is surely a death sentence for your bank account. Hey admin: How about a new forum called my first replica AKA pics of my sub?
