  1. That is super cool. what an excellent combo!
  2. I love the simple elegance of this piece. It's my favorite of the contemporary line. So far... Thanks very much for sharing! Do you think the Paci straps are worth it for the money? I'm a big fan of Heroic straps, but if you recommend having at least on Paci, which would it be? The one on this 104 rocks.
  3. that's a wonderful collection, man. Where did you get the display stands?
  4. Is this material dangerous to dispose of?
  5. Phoband, what gives? Are you stealing my girlfriends. First you like Zeniths like I do, then you take Debbie from me? Come on, even though the years haven't been kind, I've never strayed, ever since she and I were electric youth. Hands off her doughy buttocks, pally wally.
  6. dance with the girl that brung you, my friend. Perhaps your lovely PO never had the courage to ask you to dance, but now that you put yourself out there, the romance will last. Good luck.
  7. Restore it, man. No other watch in the world will have that specific story. You can't buy the character a watch earns through lived experience.
  8. fantastic video. I thought I was going to hate the watch guru, but he surprised me with how much he really loved watches, not necessarily the watch market. great piece. thanks for sharing.
  9. this is great. I love the costumed couple in the back jamming out to these sweet tunes. thanks for sharing!
  10. Beautiful! Good job! I want the blue one so bad. So very bad!
  11. that's funny, I was just about to post on this very watch. I agree with Bike Mike, this color is not for me. I like the black carbon fiber dial with white accents. That's a very interesting watch. Have they released it yet? The link still has it in the "still to come" section. http://www.jpc8118.com/0000000-coming-soon-zenith-defy-extreme-best-version-p-6733.html
  12. this is a classic. Great buy. I don't have one, but one day... thanks for sharing.
  13. Thanks, Drulee! I'll check it out. Andrew says he will sell me one for around $130, which I might do. Do you know if the movement swap will work? I've never done this. This will be my first time, and I'll have the help of a watchsmith to do it, but I want to make sure the subdial spacing is right and that the crown will fit. Since it once came with that movement, I think it will, but I'm waiting for someone to confirm that before I buy the movement. thanks again.
  14. Does anyone know how to source a Seagull ST-19? I'm planning to change out the old A7750 in my PAM 212 (which has wonderful Zig-lume) with a manual movement. I have a PAM 192, which has the Seagull ST-19, and I know that the 212 came with a Seagull initially. I hope it will work, but if anyone knows of any reason why it won't, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, please PM me if you know how to source one of these movements. I'm happy to buy one off any of you if you have one as well. thanks in advance.
  15. I think that there are a few watches that make people want to invest in a gen, and some don't. It's different for everyone. For me, I would like to own a Lange, because a) there aren't good reps made for them, and they were the first company to do fair labor practices for their employees. Put that together with their beautifully decorated movements, and that makes me want a gen. But if I had a very good rep, especially from a company that overprices their product (Panerai), then I would never need the gen.
  16. wow, Lani. It's all so beautiful. That 600 T-graph just caught my eye, and they caught it again and again. All of your pieces. You really are an inspiration knowing how you care for your timepieces and celebrate them. Your joy is infectious, and I'm grateful that you share these moments with us.
  17. Beautiful! I think I want one now. Enjoy!
  18. I have to say, this is pretty cool. I think I have a strap hanging around that about to get its teeth brushed. Thank you for sharing.
  19. If there are any around, I would be right behind you in line to get one. I think these watches are beautiful. They piece together so many qualities that I like about timepieces, particularly the mix between the rugged and the sleek. Unfortunately, I don't know of any dealers that make this. I don't think rep makers would do this unless they knew they would get a large following. Not many people, even in the watch community know about these timepieces, so why would the rep makers bother? too bad, really.
  20. I have a gen U1, and the steel looks very similar. Is this watch made with tegimented steel? If so, that in itself makes this a very good buy. I don't have a single scratch on my U1, and it's one hell of a daily wear watch.
  21. by the way, Kollektor, you've got a nice pair there.
  22. I'm a fan. This is my favorite Ferrari PAM to date. It's on the list, but it's a long list, man.
  23. As I understand it, the 06 has a blue strap, but the 08 has a black one. I'm not 100% sure though, but from all pics I've seen here and all other research I've done that seems to be the case.
  24. I also like that it has the old piepan look to it. Thanks for sharing, Chief!
  25. beautiful watch. Does it have modded AR coating? never mind. I'm an idiot. You have the chief! nothing more to say.
