  1. Members like Ubi are the reason why I like RWG so much...
  2. That is awesome U! I agree LH has a really keen photographic eye!
  3. Andei...I would do a simple check...a gen GMT dial is 27mm in diameter...if the rehaut opening of the case you bought is wider, then you have your answer.
  4. Sweet deal Andie, especially if the GMT hand is ETA spec! The 1655 is definitely a 1:1 case. The original 1675 bezel does not have a bezel spring, it was friction fitted. The bezel rotates around the retaining ring. I wish I could find a picture to explain it. Maybe some else has a pic of a 1675 bezel
  5. If it is a gen dial...it'll fit the new 1655 that Josh is selling, you'll have to convert a 1655 to a 1675...like what I'm doing here... http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/124540-building-of-a-1675-cornino-from-a-1655/page__p__901150#entry901150 As for the dials, I believe that you would have to go with the big GMT and the non-pointed guard to be correct...but I'm not the definitive expert on this.
  6. The 5512 doesn't look too bad at all. I'm going to pick up one up for modding...
  7. FINALLY!!! My integrated bracelet came in and the baby plop is complete! It is definitely in my top 5!!! ...and a parting wrist shot... Cheers everyone!

    Four crocodiles

Very...very nice...I really like the dark brown...it may have to be on my hit list!
  9. Very gggrrr baby....very gggrrrr!!!! Where have you been R????
  10. MG - I've recently made a Rolex Date franken from a 1500 (34mm) case...it is actually a gold filled case. I used the gen dial and case. Found an ETA 1570 adapter for the case (stilty or Yuki sells those), had a gold date wheel overlay left over from another project. I had orginally broached out the gen handsto fit the ETA, but found that the post holes were too weak, so I went with gold ETA hands. Here is the link discussing a little bit about my build: http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/123329-fyi-on-height-of-date-wheel-overlays/page__p__891813#entry891813 The simpliest build, IMO, would be the AK or a vintage SpaceDweller...I would find a movement 24XX (proper to 1570 beat), there are tons of gen AK cases out there, once again get an ETA 1570 adapter. Get ETA hands, no date alignment to worry about and your done! Plus...I love the blue dialed AK's!!!! I hope that helps!
  11. Very nice H! I've been look long and hard at a Steelfish lately, want to expand my collection a bit...
  12. MD...I don't know why you want to bastardize that Tudor. It looks like the oversized (Jumbo) Day-Date and if it is, it's a rarity in itself, desired by a lot of collectors. And the answer is...if it is a Jumbo Day-Date, a Rolex dial will not fit...
  13. Holy crap! That looks good M! When DW officially starts selling the albino dial, I just might have to build one! Glad to see that you finally picked up the mini guide...by far the best $25 I've ever spent!
  14. Sweet J...good work once again...I've always loved the black Day-Date dial...I'm still looking for a gen oversized Day-Date, but those puppies are getting expensive!
  15. I hear you M, it's pretty elaborate for a rep!...the 6541 might be a prime candidate for a 2465 movement swap! Would be simple, no date function to worry about!
  16. Did anyone notice that the 6542 had roulette wheel? I don't know if they will fix the rehaut, because that may affect the size of the dials and if the factories are all tooled up and printed the dials already...well...what you get is what you see...I agree with some members here...good for parts....as for the 6541...I like it...but the mid-case looks too thick...thoughts anyone?
  17. huh???? Pick up the Patrizzi Pocket Expert guide for Cosmographs...6263's had PN dials...if you're inferring that only 6239 and 6241's had PN dials, then your statement isn't correct. BTW Donerix...glad to see that you got the replacement bezel and it looks awesome on that bund strap!
  18. oh yeah...what a dummy I am...was focusing too much on the second hand Doesn't the minute hand look like a maxi sub hand?
  19. Yuki... http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6960394/7605710.htm
  20. A nice vintage Tudor...very well done J!
  21. I agree with JoeyB...also the passion for Rolexes on this forum is amazing...I often think that were more passionate than the VRF guys, because we do like to have every aspects of our time pieces correct or close to it...
  22. 5 bucks...afterall it's only a piece of plastic...
