  1. Probably bigger fruit in a pair of stockings...mangoes or even mini seedless watermelons...I think she's trying to hypnotize me with her swaying...must obey to her commands!!!!
  2. I don't understand what you have typed, because I'm mezmerized by your sig, so I can't answer your question...sorry I'm no help here...
  3. Awesome thread guys! Thanks for posting the pics!!!
  4. Yeah JoJo...it is a POS, you should give it to me!
  5. man...that is so cool!!! I'm getting "mill" envy!!!
  6. bah...if I had a lathe I could do that....waitaminute...what am I saying...no I can't!!! Impressive jmb most impressive!
  7. Hike! That is a beautiful collection you got! Truly awesome dude!!!
  8. The EXPII looks wokky...love the PO!!!!
  9. For a $198...a little sweat...hopefully no tears...it'll be a great looked piece! I'm going to try a new fading technique on the bezel...will keep everyone posted on this! @Star69...that is a freakin great collection of subs!!!
  10. It looks like DW fixed the printing for that dial! Very nice!
  11. Hey guys thanks for the kind comments on my modding skills! Here are some pics, you guys judge for yourself. I believe it is a "bang for your buck". Cheers!
  12. Thanks Alli!!! I'm not in the same league as say...you, Ubi or jmb, etc. But I'm learning everyday!
  13. aeromatic...I agree...with a little bit of work, this will be a great rep! Our world is about visualization, it's one thing to have a case built for you to the proper specs, it's another thing in which you take an inaccurate rep and make into a piece that is pretty accurate. This is a true modder, making something from nothing...I...unfortunately...am not a true modder...
  14. I got my full tropical from PT this past Friday. The bezel is too bronze (needs to be faded) and the dial needs to be "cooked" a bit. Besides the usually CG's and crown issues, it is a great rep for $198! The bezel is a little loose, but I'll either put or make a tension ring to tighten it up. Maybe I should post some pics...will do that later this evening, unless someone else beats me to it! btw...I compared the 1680 case to my Yuki 9411 case and they look very similar! IMO the 1680 case might be a good base for a Tudor 9411 project!
  15. Wow the master strikes again! Those hands are incredible!
  16. I'm assuming reps...so here we go: 1. Omega sm300 viet case with gen crystal, caseback, crown, movement, and second hand. It has been a labor of love. I have a gen bezel and am trying to make it work. I am currently on the look out for a better dial at a reasonable price. Sorry no pic at the moment! 2. DSSD Ultimate and ETZ V5 merge. I completely merged the best of the two and completed it just before the newer ultimates came out. Needless to say, I was [censored], because the parts weren't a direct swap! 3. srsd 1665. I is from an incorrect thin cased cartel 1665. I removed the engravings on the caseback and reshaped the CG's. I kept the bracelet, because according to the Japanese SeaDweller handbook, this bracelet existed. 4. DW Daytona with gen 7753, tube/crown, gen 93150 bracelet, movement modified to manual wind (yeah, yeah dial is incorrect, but I like it). 5. Tudor 7922...Gen 390, custom dial from NDT, gen tube/crown. Another labor of love and money pit! It needs better hands! Cheers!
  17. UBI...we are not worthy!!! We are not worthy!!!
  18. Thanks MJ...I'm going to have to find me those hands!!!
  19. A standard configured ETA 7750 (6-9-12) will not work with a 212, you need to do some serious modding to get it to work. You're better off using an ETA 7753 (3-6-9) and disable the the hour counter or purchase a bi-compax 7753...I think Concepta actually had one. http://www.rwgforum...._1&#entry824270 Once the hour counter is disabled, the rep dial will fit perfectly. It's an expensive proposition to go to a 7753. What would be a really cool project is to try and find a cheap JeanRichard with the flyback movement and make a 212 franken. I almost had my hands on a used one once for less than $800! http://www.buygoodwa...116-11-60e.html Considering that a gen 212 sells on the secondary market for around $8-$10K...a super-franken seems reasonable!!!
  20. Nice MJ!!...where did you source the hands? From CWP or were they 1019 hands from Yuki, broached to fit the 7734?
  21. Curse you jmb...I wish I had a lathe!!!
  22. Yikes! A typo...sorry chief!!! Yes it is a 2783...not a 2793... ...and thanks for the comments guys, but this project wouldn't have materialized without those parts from Ubi!!! A great person to deal with and an asset to this community!!
  23. Ubi...you never cease to amaze!!! Very nice!
  24. The Tudor 9411 has always been one of my grail watches. I didn't want to buy a gen, fearing that they would be super-frankens and not the real deal. So I decided that I would eventually embark in building a fraken 9411 myself. But everything fell into place one day... I managed to source a gen dial, hands, and a tropic 125 from my new RWG friend Ubi (thank you sir!) I had a gen triplock tube/crown in my parts box, purchased a Yuki case, and sourced a 2793 from an old Titus and KAPOW!!! One of my simpler builds, because everything fit perfectly together!!! The dial has a slight patina to it, now all I have to do is vintage the case a bit. On to the pics... I actually don't like NATO straps, but the skunk strap in my parts box just might have found a home... Once again, I can't thank Ubi enough for making this project come true!!! He is truly a great guy to deal and to chat with!!! Thanks for looking guys!!!
