  1. TT...I most likely have one. If you want I'll throw it in the mail. Should only take about a week? I'm Alberta. PM me if you still need it!
  2. That is so f**king nice! Plus love the bridge plates on the Rodana movement! Something really different! Good vision ont his project D! Have you ever though about putting a display case back on this puppy? Because the art deco movement should be displayed!
  3. That looks great Alli! I'm rather impressed with how the PT can look with a little sweat equity...
  4. This is some great research alligoat! Thanks! It looks like you have taken the time to discover how well the PT will accept parts to make it a more accurate but affordable rep! Can't wait to see the finish product!
  5. Hey gavidoc! I'm actually very interested and am looking for a gen speedy case for my franken. I tried to install a gen speedy dial in a rep case and the inside rehaut is a tiny bit smaller than the gen dial, which obscures the "Swiss Made" text. If HT doesn't take it, please PM me, I'll take the gen parts off of your hands!
  6. Do an exorcism...beat it with a hammer...that'll get rid of all the strange noises!!!!
  7. I haven't seen a 390 go under $100 in quite a while, you got a good deal!!!
  8. Looks like a good start bro! And if you want a better dial for your 7922, I may have one for sale within two to three weeks! Keep it up
  9. Really nice Hike! Great job! I like it a lot! Wear it well!
  10. I'm glad that you got the chrono working again LH! Enjoy the DW, she is a beaut!
  11. Hi alligoat, my bad...I mean the inside diameter of the low-pro caseback needs to be wider...
  12. LHOOQ...did you make the 7750 into a manual wind? If so, I'm assuming that you also used the lower profile case back that DW sent. I think this is the cause of the problem. If you look at the lip of the lower profile case back, you will notice that it is thicker than the 7750 case back that fits the auto wind mechanism. The thicker lip prevents the chrono from resetting. I had the same problem as you did, but when I fit the thicker case back onto the my Daytona, everything worked as it should. You will also notice that with the lower profile case back that the 12 hour sub dial will drift. This will also go away by installing the thicker case back. Without having to take the case back to a machinist, I'm currently trying to figure out how to thin the lip of the low-pro case back, so that all the chronograph functions work perfectly with the low-pro case back.
  13. Geez, that is a super looking rep. Have you compared it to pics of the gen?
  14. Wow Avitt, you do beautiful work man! I just might have to come up with a project just to send to you!!!
  15. That is truly a work of art lani! Congrats!!!
  16. That is a desirable oversized date-day. You might be able to tell if it had a metal bracelet by inspecting between the lugs, usually there is wear from the end links. Wear it in good health it's a beautiful timepiece!
  17. Dunno...great concept...but if I was 12,800ft below, I think you would have more impotant things to worry about than what time it is in another country!!!
  18. If you are mechanically inclined. It might be an easy fix. Before you send it out, check the following (this is an old pic of a gen 7750 btw) Check the arm (circled) on the operating lever. This arm should be applying pressure to the back of the other piece with the pivot. Sometimes the arm gets dislodged, so this could have happened when the watch hit the ground. If dislodged, use a small screw driver and move the arm back into place. DO NOT LIFT UP ON THE ARM. Gently push the thin part of the arm outwards until it properly sits as shown. Then try starting/stopping the chrono again. See if that works. If that doesn't work, then it might be something more severe, then...yes...send it to someone like The Zigmeister to get it repaired
  19. Please clarify the issue of Josh's crown and that it sits too low. According to the pic of the gen below, it looks like its in the right position to me. Please clarify members!!!
  20. TT...have you tried pulling hard on the crown, while turning it to loosen at same time? Sometimes there is just enough friction to get the crown loose from the stem. I've done this will success on a few crowns that were stripped on the inside.
  21. Unfortuanately the shields are too big on the full sized Tudor dials, too small if you use the lady dial. I think the shield size is the mid-sized dials. But I have been reluctant to buy another dial, because I now have 4 or 5 Tudor dials that I will never use...
  22. Hey Lani! I'm actually building a Tudor chrono with the blue dial (project about 3/4 completed). But my gen dial is missing the Tudor shield. You don't happen to have an extra one laying around do you?
