I - thanks for sharing this...mine cleared CN customs on 12/21 and should be here shortly... terrific cg and crown!...what's your opinion of the dial "texture" and also the "ar"?... btw - love the strap on the 177...who makes it?... R-

i may not be a consultant, but as a C-level executive, i now go for my gen dial IWC Spitfire Laureus on important engagements and/or Board meetings...young enough in age still, but mature in interactions, successful, yet sporty...can't miss with the classy, sports chrono look, blue to be different, brushed and polished mix case/bracelet...sophisticated...the double ar crystal and the blue dial warrant looks - but no one has ever commented...and very few in my circle know IWC well enough should they be that close to make the brand out...

i own all 3.............reps.............gen eta... silver/white/creme --> brown croc leather black --> ss bracelet blue --> gen blue diver pro rubber and plenty of other straps for mixing/matching...a great looking versatile watch...

sorry for the lack of explanation guys regarding the removal of the pix... klock was correct - i was asked to remove them... the pix showed that the crown was slightly away from the case...i asked for another watch - due to a blemish on the second hand - and the second one's crown appears to be slightly closer to the case...both watch levers seem to not be flush with the outer edge of the cg (ever so slightly closer to the case)....which makes me believe that with an o-ring and/or minor adjustment to the crown and/or stem, that you can easily move it slightly away from the case -- and that it would actually align the lever better with the outer edge of the cg...either way, it's not that noticeable to me - remember, these are macro pix... i posted the pix because i really see the quality and value in this piece...the fit/finish is outstanding...and then when you factor in the mods (high cp, superlume, thick crown, nice cg and case, colorless ar) its gotta be one of THE BEST value pieces out there... the only way to get one that's perfect is to buy the gen...yes - its not perfect to the gen...but it's damn close, IMO...especially from the top side view... R-

definitely don't like it...not at all...it has no resemblance to anything remotely Breitling... looks like any other generic chronograph...one could replace the "B" on the dial with any other brand logo emblem... @ST4...check out the SuperOcean Heritage Chronograph or the non-chrono version...you might like these and these are Breitlingesque in design... R

TGIF... a weekend with no snow in the forecast...woo hoo...so far - 70 inches of lake effect snow in 14 days...ah - central new york... been wearing a lot of waterproof pieces of late...so tomorrow, i'm going with my JLC Memovox...an oldie - but goodie... have a great weekend, RWG!... R-
