  1. hey RL!... thanks...i am looking to do this on a PAM and a couple Breitling Navis...with both, it seems that a crystal press is definitely recommended for reinstallation... @TomH...funny!... R-
  2. @DL --> 'bout time i help you for a change, my friend?!...glad you're pleased with it!... @TJ -- Happy Birthday!... R-
  3. welcome chulapo... i am a fan of ALS watches, too... here are a couple links to some nice ALS watches... also, search around the forum - especially for some of my previous posts of the various ALS watches i have owned... some of the ALS watches are fairly accurate in looks to the genuines...some not...one of the unique features of ALS watches is the large date windows...you will not see them on the reps...of the ALS reps, the Lange 1, has the date window...while not accurate to the gen, it's a great looking watch...compare dealers and their features - some have sapphire crystals and slightly different cases and casebacks...best to always compare... best thing to do is check them out and decide...i have found the quality to be very good... enjoy and welcome to RWG!... 4. Blackbird!...say no more...one of THE BEST Breits!...R
  5. very cool post...thanks for sharing!... today i am actually wearing my Blackbird rep...damn close, IMO... R-
  6. i am looking for information or a tutorial on removing/replacing a crystal on a PAM case...i don't have a crystal press, so am wondering if anyone can assist on doing this without one...and what the level of difficulty is?...advice, pitfalls, etc appreciated... thanks... R-
  7. T - that's one sweet PAM...congrats on a beautiful build!...wear it well... R-
  8. Toad -- cool of you to post an apology, but as i know the Sixxster (american slang for our Euro horological vamp!), he appreciates the assistance and the friendship...shtuff happens - and it sucks when it happens to you... i do have a theory, tho...we've all heard about the Bermuda Triangle and it's perils...stick with me on this?!...i'm thinking that Lani is actually an international postal spy...he and his henchmen (and women, of course!) route some suspect parcels to Hawaii...we've all seen a small tad of his collection, right?!...hmmmmm...not your everyday hide-the-hobby from your partner collection, right?!...hmmmmmmmmm.... R-
  9. hey deniz21-- nice to see your interest, enthusiasm and most importantly your participation...and please know that many of us english speaking only folks truly appreciate your english here!... i've been allllllll over the place with my tastes, preferences...value watches, watches with great "texture", watches with amazing reviews, etc, etc...i have found that only through buying/trading/selling that i have fine-tuned my collection...it still changes - and always will...i now seem to be migrating toward rare watches - some with mods, some not... I was going to write a list of what i felt are the best watches to have in a collection, but it would be exhaustive...so instead i will nominate the one watch that IMO, defines RWG... the IWC Slevin - modded..................great style, look, size, brand...sporty elegance...classy on ss bracelet and on rubber...sparkles with light...chronos b/c we're all gadget guys at heart and need something to fiddle with...and what makes this watch an RWG signature piece is the addition of "The Zigmeister" (or others) lume...some owners require it to have Chief's amazing double AR, some go for the out-of-box, close to gen look... these puppies are rising in price, too... what also intrigues me with this watch is that some of us have strong preferences toward Panerai, Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Hublot, etc, etc -- but the one watch that many of us have in our respective collections in this beauty... enjoy -- R
  10. @JMB --> good inquiry... many folks are looking to send crystals to chief or others for double AR...and some of the trusted watchsmiths no longer offer the service of crystal removal/AR coordination/reinstallation...i, too, was looking for a tutorial on how to do this - knowing it can vary from watch to watch...but many of us do not have a crystal press - so knowing how and if it should be attempted at all is key... i found a tutorial over at RG on how to do this for a Navi World/GMT...which looks to be a process you can take for some similarly designed Breits... RG Navitimer bezel/crystal fix tutorial there's also one from Chieftang that uses a crytsal press here: RG Crystal removal with press @Hike --> nice parting of the Milsub...
  11. wow, Hike!... but damn you on the Ebel...there's no room for 2nd place in this hobby!... it's an honor to be part of one of RWG's finest binges... R-
  12. totally agree that this looks to be a nice step up from the noob models that cost $100usd'ish... nice to have some quality watches released that aren't $300usd+... i'm into value... R-
  13. lousy pix, but this looks to be a rare blue dial arabic v1 Navitimer in the Auction section... subdials and the proportionate size of the "Breitling Chronometre Navitimer"...better pix would help... pricey - but worth checking out...it's a rare one... (i own a black dial arabic v1 and a blue dial arabic v2... ) R- Auction link here...
