R-
  4. where would we all be without the tremendous "staff" here at RWG...it all starts with our moderators, rafflemeister and especially the admin team... thanks, guys!
  5. just realized that i'm 7 away from 1,000 posts... reflective of this great community and the fun i've had in the year i've been a member here... with that, i thought it was only appropriate to thank some folks that i respect and value in this community...since my countdown to 1,000 is close, i can't thank everyone...but know that i value all here at RWG and look forward to continued comaraderie... 6. wow!...i haven't seen this before...i love arabic dials and this is a beauty...thanks for sharing!...R
  7. @Lani --> i had the XXL model, too...you are sooooo right...it's a friggin huge watch...i absolutely loved the dial, but it left b/c of the size...lile Val, i researched it too...definitely a comeback watch... @Val - +1; ordering one this weekend... @Fxr -- can you post a couple pix of the bracelet...i plan to buy this watch on the real croc strap, but would like to source a bracelet, too...not sure which seamaster bracelet from your wristie... R-
  8. holy crap!...amazing, R!... and the strap "cases" are very cool....where'd they come from?...custom?... you're the man!... i think you and Rolli could compete on both the quality and quantity dynamics... R-
  9. +10 to all...especially Lani... definitely on my buy list...and as these pix show with Lani's cannon arms - it wears a lot larger...and sits perfect... pricing quotes went out this morning prior to reading this post... thanks, R!!!!! R- (mainland)
  10. @Lani - thanks... this railmaster is my NEXT purchase...yeah right, where did i hear that before?!?!?!...i've read all the reviews and comments -- and yes, my friend, seeing it in your box (with your hearty endorsement) confirms it for me - especially with its size...it looks a lot larger...great combo - looks, quality, value... @Vly -- a pair buy?!...hmmmm... R-
  11. just picked up this elusive, classic watch in a FS this weekend!... it arrives tomorrow.................................. one of my early reads on RWG was BT's tremendous review of this watch... i have since been looking...and lo and behold, one finally shows up.... when it arrives, i'll be showing it off... ever notice how time passes slowly when a piece is in transit?!...
  12. excellent timing, Lani...i've been eyeing up the smaller Railmaster and it's great to see it side-by-side with others...and even tho it's 39mm it sure looks to hold its own with the bigger guys!...the strap on it is a great match!...it looks to be that super real croc strap that comes with the eta version, right?!... amazing collection!...and as others have said, you are the measure of all others for quality and quantity... thanks for sharing! R-
  13. nice tip, Slarts!... got a wristshot handy?!... R-
  14. broke the streak with the 252 NorthPole...phew - almost a week straight of wear...a record of late... sooooooo - just had to go back to this one for today... PAM 219 "Vlydog Limited Edition"
  15. thanks, guys!...to me this is a great casual PAM - nice details/textures... @DL --> streak has ended...
  16. i'm on a streak with this watch...been wearing it for almost a week; rare for me?!... love it!... PAM 252 North Pole GMT: quick shots taken this morning...
  17. Hey Gang... I was looking for a PAM that I could wear more often and casually than my 219 and 113...This beauty came up for sale and I was fortunate to own it... I absolutely love the brushed case, the bezel, dial, AR on this watch and i feel that rubber strap compliments this watch great...with the black rubber, you can see the contrast of the cobalt dial - which morphs from dark slate gray to colbalt blue to black - depending on the lighting...very good blue'ish tint AR -- most of the time, you have a non-reflective view of the dial and when the sun/light hits the dial at the right angle, you get the standard blue AR dial-obscured view...and isn't the caseback cool! Takashi has a great review of this same model with terrific pictures here: Takashi's PAM 252 North Pole review I shot some quick pix today -- and highly recommend this piece for anyone's PAM collection...this is a standard offering with many of our dealers...but please check out the dealer models carefully; because there's an older dial that is much more bluer...this dial can best be described as a deep dark slate grey/blue; others calling it cobalt blue...defintely a deep grey'ish blue...you can see the contract in my pix with the black rubber strap... Enjoy -- R
  18. Gio -- what a woman should be...all the best to you and her...R
  19. good call, Gio!... does your avi/signature have a name to add to my "interest"?...
  20. this comment resonated with me... similar to Toad, i find these "objects" fasinating in design/function/texture/look and feel...the technical aspects of watch movements, construction, design and modding feeds my knowledge quest...and geez, these little works of architecture/design/technology can actually be used and enjoyed?!...reading posts from the likes of francisco, zigg and countless others are textbook genious...and the photography angle on this is just a plus, too... but what really got me with this hobby is this community...diverse in all aspects -- yet mostly harmonious in passion...many of us have formed "friendships"...i for one know that many a member i consider "friends"...we connect with each other to check in and say hi, to support each other, to learn from each other, to share and to humor each other...and when S says "like to try or play with" when it comes to the many varied horological wonders out there, i know many a member that i have "met" here that i would be more than happy to ship one of my pieces to, for a ride around the block...(with the exception of my Aerospace, of course... ) R-
  21. @Slarts - thanks...the Aerospace WAS my grail... and the Ebel I picked up from an ioffer member who no longer sells reps...it can still be found on sites like watcheden.com...for less than $100usd...a really nice piece...the bracelet is nice, but for now, she's on a light caramel colored strap...plan to look for a yellow diver strap to add some character to it... R-
  22. Here are my current stock of quartz reps... AP ROO quartz: Ebel BTR 1911 quartz (had the black dial one, too, but can't find the pix) HBB Lite quartz: Had this one but sold it to Sixx...this is a beauty... UN Maxi Diver quartz: Last but not least -- my fav gen quartz... 2002 Breitling Aerospace quartz:
  23. Gio... well done...subtle sexiness...classy...R
