  1. I wore this through med school.... I would only recommend purchasing it if you send it to pbdad to relume it/vintagize it properly....for an extra $150 it will look AMAZING. If nothing else, it will be artwork on your wrist.
  2. ^^^^thanks everyone and the seller, everyone has been more than helpful! BK will make a new retaining wire for it. Thanks BK!
  3. There is an amazing thread over at REPGEEK in their Panerai section by a member there, extremely comprehensive with awesome side by side pics. Worth registering just for that thread IMO.
  4. Thx, already did, waiting for his input too. Such a nice watch, hope it can be fixed.
  5. so this is not a noob gmt bk model? I didn't know that the bk ones didn't click. Thanks for all the info guys, you're awesome! Any idea where I could get the click spring/wire?
  6. ^^^Nice rail dial, same as the ingod dials?
  7. Absolutely love mine...
  8. Well, I had just bought this and found the bezel would not rotate. It was glued in place. Pbdad had his watchmaker switch the bezel insert for the previous owner and he knows nothing about it. This was originally a BK noob GMT. The previous owner has been willing to help make this right, the problem is, what needs to be done to fix it? Any help would be largely appreciated! This is what was there when I opened it. Glue cleaned off to a certain extent It looks like the retaining ring is still stuck to the rotating portion of the bezel assemlby. would the spring be in there? If I try and put it back together, it will not stay on, it just falls off. ]
  9. Wow, absolutely stunning! Great photography too! Very cool, I couldn't see wanting to wear any other watch than this, congrats!
  10. Love the MBW red, looks great! That's the original MBW crystal? had purchased recently from narikaa had poor date mg, this one looks great. My only rec is to trim the cg's a smidgen more off their bases, otherwise, awesome!
  11. Nice, where did you find this? Looks great!
  12. If you could get the dial lume to match the hands....
  13. Oooo....I'm in Austin. I only get 4 days off a month so my chances are slim that I'll have that day off.
  14. wow, that lume shot is niiiiiiiice!
  15. too bad the dial has taken a step backwards from the H factory dials with the low bars on the A's and it is not even close to being a bold font on the dial text.
  16. we need more pics than that, c'mon!
  17. yUP, I used a dremel and a bit just big enough to countersink it ever so slighty. You need to be care, you do NOT want to make the counter sink hole to big!
  18. Nice watch! Looks great! Any pics of the back of it? I'd like to see the clasp and end links if you get a chance. So this is the PT movement with the PT datewheel with the left justification? Not sure if the it's the crown guards distorting the proportions, but the crown looks too think to be gen. Hard to tell from the pics, but does The Zigmeister's lume have texture to it? It looks amazing from what I can see in the pics! Enjoy it!
  19. Nice! When did you pay and who did you purchase it from?
  20. I like the fake panerai dial he is using for a coaster
  21. What a bummer, after spending all the $$$ and now you have to wait another month. Rolex makes a million watches a year, there are tons of flaws. Here's a nice explorer II with some nice hands.
  22. The large/wide hour/minute hands on the second pic look awefully nice!
  23. You can try to find a 5512/5513 insert as another option.
  24. Wow, this is amazing! I think more pics would do it some justice! At least a wristie would be appropriate.
  25. Wow, first, really enjoyed reading the stories guys! I wouldn't go with a DRSD either unless it was a franken work of art, which there are many on this forum. A $100 fake to me (and mind you, I realize we are INDEED on a replica watch forum) would just be disrepctful to the original. Though franken builds do not hold the value of a gen article, they certianly demonstrate a wealth of knowledge from the builder who is recreating that piece. I feel learning these little details is kinda a weird form of respect, like getting to know a person. A mildly modded franken single red sub or as stated, a great white, would be appropriate in my opinion. These are def my most enjoyable timepieces to wear bar none.
