  1. Then there's no sense in purchasing from that dealer. I'd like to see a list of dealers that show one thing and send another. When you start talking about spending $400 on a rep, you better GD make sure it's exactly like you described it and looks like the photos you used to get me to shell out for it.
  2. $400 for a "Perfect Clone?" I wonder how many have been sold so far... Adjusted for clearer viewing, well, maybe only a little bit clearer.
  3. I agree, the movie was excellent. At first I thought it was a little hokey towards the beginning as it went through........ but now that I think of it, doing the scenes like that is reminiscent of how a comic book would have done it, sort of. Working print is cool, like watching a "behind the scenes" or "the making of" part of the DVD release. There was one part towards the end that was totally unexpected, a nice twist, which must have been very well done because I almost always anticipate these things. Oh yeah, that part in the middle really tore out my heart, and really makes you want to hate the bad guys! I can see his point, but I think that the buzz from people who have seen it will help box office sales. I hate reading reviews from "professionals" hopefully the comments from amateurs like myself will encourage others to see it on the big screen.
  4. Kinda makes me wonder how many of those watches came off of a dead wrist...
  5. So wear an eye patch and tell 'em you're a pirate. Eye patches are cool, pirates are cool, Rolexes are cool. Win, win, win.
  6. I'd go with this version. I guess the one question I have is that they claim it has a Movement: Swiss Eta 2836-2 Automatic Movement Is this actual or clone? If it's actual, then I'll have to open up the piggy bank and have 'em send me one. I love the TT, but my concerns are that the finish would wear or get scratched thereby ruining the whole effect. The other is that people would be more likely to assume I could afford a SS Vs a TT...
  7. Thanks for sharing, and you're welcome.
  8. Bwahahahhaaa! Now I can build my own perfect rep!!! Bwahahahahahahahahhaaaa!

  10. I saw my avatar and wondered why the hell I would write this, then I looked at the sig... Somebody has edited my sig?!?!? Post count... username... wth! Time to change my avatar, here I thought it was unique enough that I'd be the only one using it.
  11. Thanks for sharing, I hope that this kind of attention will be noticed by the factories and encourages them to realize that their best efforts will be rewarded, and that there's always room for the improvement we expect as their consumers.
  12. The gen displays have a slightly more orange tint to the red than yours, other than that, it looks pretty good.
  13. I love that bracelet! The clasp is exactly the kind I look for because of the smooth transition all the way around as well as being smooth with no clunky buckle to caught on things... Very nice.
  14. My girlfriend just told me she'd let you borrow her blind fold until you get your own if it helps...
  15. Ack! Mine eyes!!!!!!!!!! I adjusted the pics for easier viewing, I tired to keep them as true to real life as I could...
  16. Nice to see someone who doesn't have a little skinny arm wearing one of these! Hairy knuckles but no hair on your arm? What, your some kind of professional tough guy? I'm thinking that's not YOU on that avatar.

  18. My question here is what can be done to the rep steel to get it the same color as the gen version? I've started looking into white gold vs palladium plating to get the right color but the salesperson I spoke with was real wishy washy about plating SS because of the prep and quality of material that comes from the various rep factories.
  19. I edited my post to link to the blog that discusses the idea plus DLC idea.
  20. Bracelet mod... That problem solved. Also, scroll down about half way on Jake's Rolex Watch blog for an even cooler mod idea that completely solves the SS mis-match: "...added a black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating producing more of a stealth military vibe...In the photo below notice the Submariner has had solid curved spring-bars permanently welded to the lugs. This serves several different functions. It allows the Submariner to accommodate a wider range of NATO, and ZULU straps and stops the straps from rubbing against the serial number on the side of the case. Also notice the pearl indices on the bezel at the top has been replaced with a red ruby." Worth considering on a DSSD... Related link by avitt for this process done by one of our members...
  21. The last one they sold went for $250 BIN...

  24. I don't know about the quality of this, though it looks good to me. Of all the bracelets made, this is one of my all time favorites... I've been told that those found on iOffer were not very reliable. Hopefully this is better than that. As far as adjusting the bracelet to fit, the only thing I can think of is to either drink more or less water...
