One of my favorite "vintage" watch photos... Your watch looks like it's on it's way to being a real work of art. Reminds me of this... I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the watch turns out.

How about the Breitling Colt? BCOLT001B - Breitling Colt 39mm White - Jap Working Chron $128.00 MOVEMENT: Jap Working Chronograph Quartz with Date CASE DIAMETER: 39mm THICKNESS: 13mm DIAL COLOR: White Dial with Stick markers and Blue Subdials CASE MATERIAL: Solid Stainless Steel 316L BRACELET: Solid Stainless Steel 316L FRONT GLASS: Syn. Sapphire Glass BACK GLASS: Solid SS Case Back with insignia BEZEL: Uni-directional Bezel (60 clicks) HACK MOVEMENT: CLASP TYPE: Deployant Buckle with insignia DATE INDICATOR: At 4:30 GMT HAND: OTHER REMARKS: Water Resistant Working Chronograph Movement (Jap Quartz) Information posted for reference only and not a recommendation to purchase this particular watch. I think it's more important to look for a style and function that fits you personally before considering size. There's only a few mm's different between most of their cases, so looking for a style you like would be a first step. Next, I'd probably consider one that have a dial color that compliments your skin color. This will help the watch blend more with your wrist and the size won't be as much of an issue. Long sleeves will fix this issue all together.

My plan: 1. Follow all your posts 2. Do a little research on the questions you post (commonly not done by newbies) 3. Post helpful and glowing responses to help in anyway I can 4. Send a few helpful pm's to make you feel like you're getting some special attention 5. Plan a trip to Sweden 6. Stop by your house explaining that my hotel screwed up 7. Enjoy free lodging and meals while having you give me a tour of all the best spots in Sweden Gotta love making friends on the internet!

That just reeks of sophistication! Looks awesome, and it sounds like it'll last you. These things can get expensive, but when done right, it's worth every penny.

Audmars Piguet ROO Rubens Barrichello II LE
ThinkBachs replied to rckh's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Great watch, thanks for sharing! The first mod I'd do if I were you for that watch can be found here... -
Wow, I own both of those. Now I'm going to feel too self conscious to wear them again. Thanks a lot... j/k

Tell your avatar to stop staring at me! Blink damn it, blink! Sometimes the fun watches are the ones that get worn the most. I can't tell you how many times I had to grab one when I was in a hurry because one of my automatics was allowed to run down...

...with 4,000 reps more made to celebrate the years he didn't.

Deep Sea Sea Dweller v4 (DSSD) Pictoral Preview by JimBean

Why do people post things like this without giving the name or place where they purchased it from! Looks good BTW! -
I thought my wife was hollering at me, made me get out of my chair three times before I realized it was me pushing the button... I got up to 18, though I think it's easy for some people to fool themselves since you're the one clicking the button...

The Shundi Avatar replacement page. (o)(o) < Content
ThinkBachs replied to billywhiz's topic in The looney bin
This is for Shundi? Then here you go... I don't know why I didn't see this area before! -
I'm starting to think that I've got to get one of these, been looking for a couple days though I'll have to do a little more research first. If I do, it'll have to be one with a nice heavy leather band, those crookity links bug the hell out of me!

Great story though! Thanks for taking the time to share it.

Big Bang "Logo Shield" fell out. Bitter tears are being shed!
ThinkBachs replied to Spidey7's topic in Other Brands Area
Maybe I should check mine when I get it back. Sorry to hear about the problem, have you thought about contacting the dealer? They might be able to come up with one for you. Personally, I'd consider this a defect... -
New Movement: Compact Subdial Spaced 7750?
ThinkBachs replied to Mickey Padge's topic in General Discussion
I just subscribed to this thread, great stuff! -
Are there any reviews on this? Is it worth swapping? Sources??? So many questions, so little money...
-
Also, don't worry so much about the dealer as a whole, as much as finding that "must-have" watch. Once you've set your sites on that, then search the forum for that model and read, read, read. You'll want to look for attention to details, the type of movement used... then look to see where the version you want came from. Reading the review for your model will give you a great head start. Once you've gone through that, keep an eye on the Trade section- you may find one that someone has already for sale that may save you some bux, especially if it's from a member that has a good reputation. Overall, it will be much less confusing once you've established the exact watch you want to obtain. So much of what you want to know has been posted already, so forum etiquette dictates using the search feature prior to posting "newbie" questions. Showing that you took the time to do this will more likely promote more help from knowledgeable members. Just a thought. Remember this: Everyone here has started out asking "dumb" questions, and those that deny it are full of poo. Forgot to mention that you should go here for sure to find reputable dealers!

I've seen just about every version of this that there is and this one rates at the top of the list for me. Good job finding this one.

Surprisingly nice not expensive PVD Seiko. Sinn look-a-like...

Great shots, now you've got me thinking about finding a Seiko chrono and putting a strap like that on it... Hmmmmmm -
Why these people don't just go out to a field and shoot them self first... Vietnamese, we hardly ever hear anything about people from this group causing any problems. Good people that pretty much keep to themselves, work hard, and are very friendly. So weird to see parts of Binghamton on Fox News. 41 year old man was the shooter... This is going to be very hard for the Vietnamese community here, they're a tight group- like most ethnic groups I suppose, where just about everyone knows everyone else. The President of the local Civic Assoc had the day off today, what a day to take off. I'll have to call tomorrow to see if they need any help...
