  1. Go all black, b/g will get old fast- solid black will be the one you want to wear all the time! As far as dealers, take a peek at the list in our dealer section and keep an eye out in the for sale threads. I purchased mine that way. As far as customs goes, no idea... maybe have them throw some small bells in the box and label it as "Toy?"
  2. Never been kissed...
  3. Yep, just looked again and still like it.
  4. I just created the hottest new avatars on the internet!
  5. There's a lot of watch companies out there that are trying to come up with something new that in the end only look like clown watches. THIS on the other hand will never be mistaken for anything other than the manliest, sexiest babe magnet ever created! I can't ever wear this when shopping with my wife, it causes too many fights and the added cost of body guards to protect me and the family from every woman that happens to catch a glimpse of it is putting a strain on my watch acquisition fund... My advice, keep spreading the word that these are falling out of favor. It keeps mine even more unique and the resale value high- plus... I secretly love the attention from all the babes and don't much like to share!
  6. Looking at that dial gives me a headache... I don't know if I want to go boating or play golf! Very nice!
  7. Pitchures, we want pitchures!!! (of the wifey, not the toys... unless that's the only way you can get her to pose for 'em)
  8. I like the all metal bracelet, especially the clasp on this one. The rubber looks nice to me also except that I can't get over that metal piece on the side. Maybe after wearing one for a while I could learn to like it...
  9. Yeah, but did you notice the pins in the first links? I've seen better reps of the famous TigerShark Watches, hard to find though. It took me a long time to find all the parts to franken mine, and it was a real challenge to find someone who could reface a Rollie dial to match the TigerShark...
  10. Hey! Sorry, this page is not available at this time For some reason the link isn't working, J2LUK
  11. Thanks for your post! I see my confusion now, the SD's with DW do not have a mag, but all the Subs I see do. Good thing I didn't try taking mine off yet!!!
  12. I made a comment about the crystal not having a cyclops, but after looking around a bit, I see that gens also are available this way. I'm torn about having it Vs not having it. I like the cleaner look, and certainly the ease of keeping the crystal clean- seems that mine always has a ring around it, and takes a lot more effort to get that part cleaned. It also seems to me that it's easier to see the date without the cyclops, as I have to twist my wrist a little more to read it without looking through the edge of the mag. I suppose after doing it for a while it becomes a learn behavior though... I'll worry about changing it some other day, my first concern is replacing the insert, so off I go to find one. So far, the one from Watch Material seems to fill the bill.
  13. http://shinewatch.biz/member_article.php I don't read Chinese though...
  14. I'm waiting for V5... Do you have before shots? And is this what you're trying to achieve? Looks pretty good to me from where I'm sitting...
  15. I did a lot more research last night and found that this was the consensus across the board, bar none. Feel free to send me a pm about the price, maybe I can find some things to sell off for it... I love that bracelet, this is a great looking watch! My concern with these is getting one to fit my big fat wrist. The dial looks perfect on this one, but I'm not sure that the case looks right, meaning that the edges look a little too sharp and the CG's seem a little fatter than what I remember. This is not to say that it's not correct, I just don't remember it looking like this... Wanting it and being able to afford it are two ends of a very wide spectrum for me! Wow!
  16. One of our favorite sitcoms. Cloris Leachman was hot back in the day, maybe Alan closed his eyes REAL tight and imagined this before kissing her...
  17. I've been wanting a vintage 5513, probably because of it's simplicity with all the characteristics of a Rolex Submariner. Before looking into what I should actually start with, I'm starting with a rep of a 5513. My first impression is it looks OK from 5 feet away, but once I started looking into how close this actually is, I'm starting to think that it might not be the best way to go about this. From what I've read, it seems that the MBW is the preferred case to work with. The biggest issues that I've noticed so far are the crystal and the crown. Beyond this, I'll let the pros chime in and share their insight about the possibilities for transforming this watch. Let's start with what the original looks like... Now, what we have to work with... I didn't take shots of the bracelet because I'd rather concentrate on the body at this point, though I am considering going with a Tropix 20mm rubber with curved ends. I like rubber straps and thought it might give it a unique look. A few things that I had in mind were giving it a new crystal, T19 I believe; gen crown and tube; not sure what to do with the dial; possibly a gen pearl; wondering about sanding down the bezel insert; and thinking about banging it up a bit to give it some "authenticity." It also looks like the edges of the outside of the case need to be rounded a bit, they look too sharp. The crown guards need to be trimmed, they've had too much candy this Halloween... So, what are your thoughts?
  18. Geez PSOC, who wants to take the chance of scratching the back of their watch or introducing contaminates to the movement by taking the back off to remove a sticker that shouldn't be there to begin with? Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!
  19. I'll say it! Looks like we have a spammer in our midst: peideng 5 posts with at least two of them mentioning that place. No doubt he's trying to drum up some business there, the problem is he doesn't understand how this forum works and is only bringing the wrong kind of attention.
  20. If you go through the video frame by frame, you'll see this 1 millisecond image, which probably explains poor gioamani's affliction... Not Work Safe -Had to upload elsewhere, photobucket's tight-assed censors didn't like it... Damn advertisers, is there no shame?
  21. For me, I was just trying to make a general statement about dealers that post and describe one thing and send another. I've seen a number of posts where dealers claim that a watch has a gen Swiss movement which is actually a Swiss copy. My intention wasn't to bash Josh, just an overall concern for truth in advertising...
  22. Too late, a picture says a thousand words, no need for me to say anything more.
