Woooooooooow. I'd have to take a whole day off from everything once that came in. No showers for a week because I wouldn't take it off- I'm so glad I have a huge monitor to admire this with!

My new Crown Jewel. Cousteau 06 Gen 79320 Lumed on Bracelet Crazy!

I think it sucks that I don't have that on my wrist. -
Judging from what you've said about the "old man," these would be my two choices for sure... I can't believe anyone would ever question the Omega, and it looks stunning. I highly doubt anyone would question that Rolex either, especially with the whiter steel. Great choices Lanikai...

It's nice to read a post that has so much potential to go downhill fast turn into something like this...

To explain my previous post, anyone who is a fan of Clint Eastwood would appreciate the quote. Time and again I've seen the benefits of this forum for those that either live here or pass through. The information, assistance, and opportunities available here are certainly worth something. In this day and age when people expect something for nothing, I think many of us forget to appreciate the things we get for "free." Consider the amount of time that people put into posting reviews. Doing the research, finding just the right words to explain something, finding the right backgrounds and getting the light just right to take spectacular photos to share with us. Not to mention the contests and off topic conversations that entertain and build a sense of community and the time that mods put into keeping the forum respectable... It's easy to look at a site or a forum and take it for granted, but fail to see all the hard work it took to get it put together. As a web/graphic designer and small business consultant, I understand how much time and effort goes into making something worth while. All I'm trying to say is take a look behind the curtain and appreciate the efforts of those that contribute. If that compels a person to contribute by helping others on the forum, great. If it means someone wishes to show support financially to assist in covering the cost of operations, fantastic. In my eyes, as long as a person makes an effort to be a productive member of the community, the better the community.

Wow, I thought this thread would be about some fly-by night dealer, NOT EuroTimez! I can say that my experiences with ET has always been very good, and communication with all there, especially Neo, has been fantastic. This is another reason why supporting this forum is such an important thing for all of us to do. Not only is it a great place to hang out, but a valuable service on so many levels. Thanks to RWG for being here for us all.

I have to laugh at places that cancel anything with this kind of snow fall! Around here, as long as the roads are clear, it could look like this and there'd still be school...

I love the part in the video where you try to charge another watch's lume with this one. -

I sent a ton of PM's out trying to raise money for your prize. The idea was to get you a girl popping out of a cake, which I thought would be a fun prize for anyone to get. Unfortunately, I could only raise enough money to get you a girl eating some cake and this was the only girl I could afford...

I say this topic has been discussed already. I declare the best answer to be this: "What do you think?" then "Oh hey! Look at the time, gotta go!"

Hey, welcome to the forum- no need to quote a huge post when making a comment. I point this out because there maybe some members who have low bandwidth connections and it just makes it harder for them.................. OK, I'm really mentioning this because it's annoying.

Quick! Vote on a xmas watch for my fiance (poll)
ThinkBachs replied to P4GTR's topic in General Discussion
Black. I purchased a Gucci for my wife that is gold and black and both of us really like the look. Black is easier to read off, so no squinting which means money saved on Botox later on. Diamonds on a watch: No no no no no. Diamonds in a ring: good. Whenever I see diamonds on a watch, I think either cheesy, fake, or prissy. As far as the pearl goes, it's unique, but something that would grow tiring for me after a while. JMHO. -
I agree 100% It's amazing to me that people can see this but not be convinced that there's a difference. I don't get it. Then they argue that you have to send it out to a lab to tell the difference. I've made 316F my first requirement to selecting a Rolex rep. If it's not made with it, I'm not interested. Your review of the Perfect Clone version of the DSSD saved me from making more mistakes trying to piece together a V3, a project that has been dropped in favor of the 316F DSSD. Thanks for taking the time to put these together, your time and effort are greatly appreciated Sir.

New DSSD Version ~ Perfect Clones
ThinkBachs replied to lanikai's topic in The Two R's Watch Reviews - Lani & Ubi
Thank you so much for doing this review! I've been thinking that the only way I was going to get a decent version of this watch was to combine the skeleton of my V3 with the dial and bezel from a V5. I see now that I am wasting my time. My V3 is now worthless. Having a steel that is brighter was the one thing that I thought I'd just have to live without. Having spent as much time as I have obsessing over finding a "perfect" version of this watch has finally come to an end. I haven't checked the price yet, but there's no doubt that I'll have to suck it up and pay what they're asking. I've got a bezel ordered that will fix the bezel issue on this version which will give me a DSSD that I can wear with confidence and pride- FINALLY! -
Lume dot borders are too thick, I've seen the better ones on other DSSD dials. The bezel insert is back to the thin style numerals and markers. One step forward and two steps back. Nothing to get excited about with this one, just more disappointment that with all the correct components available, you still have to by two watches to make a decent one.
