  1. There is slightly less stand-off near the lugs for the gen which is slightly softer. I notice it on my 6.5 inch wrist, it may less noticeable for someone with a more manly wrist.
  2. Very nice, Andy. I'm glad the watches found a good home, much better than being at the bottom of my drawer...
  3. 2geek is Takashi's company - he operates an e-mart on the dark side.
  4. Thanks for the tip. I've managed to get the stem out.
  5. Die Grosse Fliegeruhr
  6. You may want to confirm with him before committing to buy.
  7. If it's just weight loss you are looking for, eating less will help. As long as your input calories are lower than your energy expenditure, you will be losing weight. If you want to lose fat, you gotta stay off the carbs and train hard and hope that you lose fat instead of muscle. YMMV depending on your age, genetic disposition, etc.. In most cases, diet is key, it is pretty difficult to out-exercise a bad diet.
  8. MBK AP RO with plated screws
  9. The caseback with functional screws is no longer in production, AFAIK.
  10. What I did was to use a crystal press to push the crystal through the tabs. I push the tabs back after re-installing the crystal. It works without obvious damage on the SOSF but this method messed up the tabs on my seawolf avenger.
  11. Send the watches to me... I'll take care of your little problem...
  12. I think you should also consider the type of lume used. RC tritec is the best and used by the gen watch houses (and also by some modders such as ZM). This will add to the cost as well as the stuff is expensive. There will less expensive lume available but will probably have inferior "glow" time and brightness. YMMV.
  13. PAM63 today
  14. That was the first thing I tried but it did not seem to push down. I tried unscrewing the blue screws too. I think I went around and pushed everything that looked like a button while pulling the crown. Please let me know if you find out as my son drop the blue surf and this happened... This is a picture of the movement but with the rotor still on. Less reflection from the over-enthusiastic pearlage.
  15. Can anyone tell me where the stem release is?
  16. PAMs first... Thought they looked stupid, but now I have 5 and 2 incoming. PP next... Thought square watches were strange, now I have both the MBW aquanaut and nautilus. and then B&R... 01-92s supposed to be too big and square, now I have 2. upcoming... Thought AP ROOs were over-hyped, now considering the white rubber clad and the black themes. Ironically, I started this hobby looking for a Tag Carrera and I hardly ever look at it now. (or any other Tag, for that matter)
  17. So my son dropped my UN MMD and this is what happened. Now I need to get the crystal out. I take off the caseback and huh - where's the stem release? ] So that's my question. Where's the stem release for this movement?
  18. Pearl looks better, IMO. I'm not an expert on the numbering, though.
  19. Wow! Very, very nice.
  20. Ever thought to go for 1 of concepta's gen dials?
  21. IMO, pearl is too white. Gen should be somewhat translucent?
  22. Coming out of the watch box after a long break. BK WM9 YM v2 The lume still looks slightly green to me.
  23. Very nice. AR will probably help bring out the gen dial. HK Tan can probably help you with an appropriate leather strap.
  24. Thanks, guys. I'll check out the strap option.
