  1. There is a sub on sale on ebay here. I enquired if it was 100% genuine with no aftermarket parts etc and if he was ok with me getting it checked out with r*l*x for authenticity. He said he bought it second hand and doesnt know if aftermarket parts were added. He was ok with it being checked for authenticity but would not give a refund as it is sold "as is". I'm not going to bid. Crap pictures and paperwork etc can be got anywhere. Too big a risk to borrow money to get this and sell it on (which was my plan)
  2. Great! Would love to see pictures when you get it. I should have tried it on when I was in Stockholm, but my non-watch-loving friend was with me and I didn't want to start annoying him (he's a kickboxer!).
  3. What was worth 400 Euros that you got? A PAM with ETA 7753?
  4. I checked the Cartier website and water resistance is rated at 100m
  5. Great I can add it to my screensaver at work
  6. Great pictures... I've never really wanted to go out that way yet... looks great!
  7. Everyone give me a non-refundable $50 to reserve their spot.
  8. Yay! I better start saving! Hope it's as accurate as I've been wanting!
  9. Me too! I still havent got the Asian 7750 version. Maybe I should start saving for the gen someday
  10. I'm not really into sitting and drinking in pubs, so I'll leave that for someone else. If you want to meet a girl in a club, R&B/Hip Hop clubs get a mix of people so you'll find a girl that you like. There is also a place in Picadilly Circus area that has 3 floors call Onanon. There's (expensive) food on the bottom floor - not that the food is worth going for. The top floor had house music when I went and the second floor had pop stuff. Lots and lots of people so you're bound to find a girl you like Not sure about dress code, but one time I went there with an Avirex leaher jacket and Adidas superstar shoes (i was just in the neighbourhood) and got turned away! That was around 10.30-11pm I think. It's free before 10pm from what I remember though. I hear lots of New Zealanders and Australians go there too if you like them. Salsa bar has lots of Latin Americans. I met a couple of Italian girls last time I went there. If you can dance salsa you won't have a problem.
  11. Strangely enough I am a little more ambivalent towards England. Difficult to support a team that has Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand amongst it's "stars" ! I prefer good football so tend to like watching a team like Argentina who are a great passing side, or Spain on their day.
  12. Ok here are the pictures. Here is the picture from Panerai.com: Here is the rep (from Perfect Clones), so you can see the tick marks (which are similar to the picture above, looks like the rep manufacturers used the same ones as the PAM212): Here are pictures of the genuine watch, firstly zoomed in so you can compare the above pictures "tick" marks to the genuine's. You can also see it is on a flat smooth round ring and NOT on the hobnail dial. Same thing with the "Swiss Made" bit: The original picture: And another picture:
  13. I'm trying to decide between the 2. And yes if you own one, you shouldn't really want the other.
  14. I've found pictures of the PAM253 which I will post later tonight, but it appears that the one on the Panerai website is a prototype, and that was the one repped. The problems I see are the tick marks on the outside, which on the genuine is on a smooth track on top of the hobnail dial. The pictures will explain everything. (Finally signed up to photobucket!) Also, there are a few tick marks between each big one, while the one on the Panerai website has one small one, one big one, one small etc like the PAM212s that we've seen. Any thoughts from anyone else? Now I'm thinking maybe the PAM253 is not as accurate as I once thought. Of course both 212 and 253 rep have no flyback functionality.
  15. Maybe you can Jax off with it? Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  16. I want one! I want one! I want one! I saw the gen in Stockholm and liked it It never stops
  17. Easier to clarify, as I wear most watches on the right wrist anyway! PAM036 has crown and crown guard on the right side of the case PAM217 has crown and crown guard on the left side of the case
  18. If you're really travelling to London and have money to spend, look at Mayfair, Knightsbridge or South Kensington. If you want to be right in the middle look around Picadilly Circus or Covent Garden. It'll cost you though!
  19. Gary Neville scored, just at the wrong end. Overrated nincompoop. I blame him for the goal. Under no pressure, he does a backpass which was on target to the goal. If he did it slightly left it would have gone out for a corner. And why didnt the keeper control it when under no pressure? They definitely missed Gerrard and Eriksson If only the FA had appointed Guus Hiddink, not a fourth rate former assistant man-ure manager.
  20. Thanks for the email with that info. Didn't go to those places you mentioned though. Should have gone to the clubs you mentioned, but queues are so long there! Crazy!
  21. Sorry to hear that it's taken such a toll on you. I hope things get better. Maybe you need a nice break in the sun somewhere with your girlfriend. That should help. And don't do the late nights. I do it all the time and it's no good for me either! Relax and take your time. If you do any work on watches, set a time limit for it and stick to it. No point in working all hours of the day. Anyway, take that break, it'll be good for you! I hear Canary Islands can be as cheap as 200 pounds for 2 weeks including flights and accomodation
  22. I have used all the chronos on my watches to time things like how long it takes to get to work. Or a plane journey, or how long a car is parked for example. Not really necessary but I like having it functioning and it has come in useful a few times.
