  1. Good idea! Fitmic has told me R*lx's are common there and everyone thinks they are fake anyway. I'll have to decide on which PAM. Maybe I'll take an Omega GMT for the day and a PAM for the evening Anyone help me decide which PAMs: Ones which will fit on a bracelet I already have- 001 029 063 092 192 I guess that leaves the 036 as a non-bracelet watch ... although I am likely to take that!
  2. Thanks again for all the info. I have heard professional sportsmen (eg. footballers) are not supposed to have this procedure done. I'm wondering why, as I play 5-a-side football up to 3 times a week.
  3. I switched from Orange to T-Mobile a few months ago and got a free Sony Ericsson w810 (the orange and black one). Been great. 2 MP camera which I used on holiday, and not bad for the convenience. I guess I play too many games on it now. Got some Texas Hold 'Em one on there. My sister got a new SE phone with a 3MP camera (I think). It is slightly bigger but has the same functions, just doesnt look as good. Not that I'd mind that one. Functionality over form to a small degree when it comes to phones. It may well be the K800 but I forget the model number and she's gone out.
  4. Maybe that was part of the deal to make the Jay-Z AP watch ?
  5. Gotta see pics of this one .. Slay seems an interesting character indeed
  6. I hope so, the only Swedish girls I've seen around are brunettes but with lovely blue eyes Only this week to get through and this time next week I'll be in a club full of Swedish girls Gotta decide on which watch(es) to take as well. I usually take a Timex quartz in case I go in a pool or sauna or jacuzzi (preferably with one of those beautiful Swedish blondes ) At the moment I am thinking Omega SMP Chrono titanium, but may take a PAM (probably 036) along with some straps
  7. Congrats, and I guess all the Scots on here are out celebrating tonight
  8. Yes, the anticipation is a killer, but you have to try to be patient. Patience is a virtue ? And I know it's even worse now as no mail on Sundays
  9. I've switched around quite a bit, PAM063 briefly, onto a PAM036 on a veni style Hirsch deployant strap, then the AP Royal Oak Jumbo (courtesy of Thomasng) and now to a silix VC Overseas
  10. A couple of years ago I bought a cheap Lorus quartz watch from the local Argos (those in the UK will know what I mean - or look up their website). It was around 20GBP and uses the same stuff as the Seiko Orange Monster - lumibrite. Shines very brightly in the dark.
  11. I think silix or Josh had these with optional see through case back or solid caseback but I can't remember 100%.
  12. To tell you the truth I couldnt tell you which one. They are so much the same watch. If you want a seconds counter, obviously there is only one in your list- the Black Seal 183. If you like the 1950 hands go for the 232, if you like a normal PAM base then it's the second one. Is the first one 47mm? I would lean towards that one I think, but make usre you find out if the crown threading and the lug screws are ok. Maybe flips some coins on this. Or check the price differences, if any.
  13. Pics are gone, probably expired from wherever you linked them
  14. Very nice watch. I'm wearing it right now I'm on the fence whether it's worth getting the IWC Ingenieur when this reminds me of it! Both are top notch watches with little modifications needed.
  15. Indeed a lovely watch. I would advise anyone to snap it up, as you get a genuine movement for the price as well as the quality control. Hard to find chronos at these prices that are this good! And the luminosity is perfect. Charge up SuperLuminova and it glows brightly. The H3 tritium gas tubes constantly glow and you notice it in low level light. The 12 o'clock marker has an orange one to differentiate between the others so it is always easy to tell the time even if it's upside down Thanks to david, as he was the one who originally gave me all the info.
  16. long-term project but the first time i've looked in. Sounds good
  17. The reason for the genuine dial is that the ring of the date window is slightly different. Otherwise the dial is fine. The crown is slightly off, and I'm not sure about the blued hands.
  18. thanks for the pics Mahler. I'm pretty sure the rep doesnt have this case back
  19. Not my kinda thing but if you like it, go for it, at that price it's not too bad if you have the money to spare.
  20. I like the Senna (legend) version with the green hand, but am not sure how accurate it is. The caseback may be wrong, I'm not sure.
  21. Anyone know how to download youtube videos to the hard drive?
  22. Great! I'll have a look at this when I get to access my email on a computer with sound!
  23. I'd go on the second hand market to get better prices, and get it in for a service - still work out cheaper than buying it brand new. You could get a two-tone titanium/tantalium Omega SMP Chrono and still have money left for a service to make it look brand new Or get the America's Cup version in titanium. Not too many titanium reps around either. There's also a limited edition steel dial Omega Chrono which was only released in the US, it's very nice. A couple came up recently on timezone.
  24. I may have a picture of the caseback saved somewhere (hopefully). I'll look it up later. Almost 5am and i have to be at work in 4 hours!
  25. The best documentary of all time is "The Making of Gigli". Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
