  1. The back should twist off. Try soe marigolds, or some scrunched up duct tape, that usually does the job for me on other watches. Not sure if this will be harder to remove due to its water resistance rating.
  2. Welcome to the forum, and what a great write up, a pleasure to read! As with By-tor, this watch is on my list, and after these pics I am going to have to bite the bullet and order this now!!
  3. Completely agree. I understand the view that it is a replica of a 'more affordable' genuine. However, having owned one of these, I would say, save yourself $1700 and buy the replica. Absolutely incredible. I think that because it is a replica of a more affordable genuine this actually adds to the 'believability' of the replica. I would say that less people would question its validity compared to a replica worth $6000+.
  4. I would go for the Breitling. Don't confuse the movement with a 7750. Its all put together by Breitling, and it has COSC certification. They invest a lot of time in their movements, and they are far superior to the standard versions.
  5. That is a great price! As soon as my rep of this watch packs in Im going to get the gen, it is such a nice watch. Congratulations on the purchase!!
  6. I certainly don't have the largest wrists, and I had the same worry. It is big, but it doesn't seem to lookout of place. I think it is due to it's simplistic styling. Go on Scoobs, you know you want to....
  7. I think Panerai has the same affect on all collectors in the same position as me. So many times I have read;
  8. Looks nice! This is the one Breitling I think looks better on a bracelet than a strap! Wear it well!
  9. Wow, that looks awesome! 100% to the gen aesthetically!
  10. As far as I know they both come with the new 7750 movement, it's just that in the GT Bentley, it has been denoted specifically whereas the other one it hasn't. They're both the same. The 28k movement. The main difference between the Normal GT and the ltd ed. racing version is that the ltd ed version comes in a brushed finish. It looks slightly less blingy, and is a finish that I think really suits the Bentley, just tones it down slightly.
  11. Hello there, I will be receiving my Navitimer back tomorrow, and it has had a full relume on the stick markers and the hands. Il try and post pics, but I only have a camera phone so they may not be very clear.
  12. I had the opportunity to see one of these in an AD today. If you like the pics, all I can say is, you'll love it in the flesh. It's a real classy looking watch!
  13. Brilliant review Andreww! Nice layout, great pictures, and a wonderful comparison!
  14. Breitlings The Navitimer The most obvious tells are; - The lack of double AR on the crystal - The date font is standard Asain/Swiss font, not as thick as the gen Breitling font - The outter knurled bezel is usually a hairline to thick - On the 3,6,9 - The date font is sunken, - Single digit date numbers should be vertical, not on their side - The 'B' on the end of the stopwatch second hand is also a very slightly different shape Breitling Bentley (48mm) - When you turn the bezel, the genuine's crystal doesn't move, the rep one does - Lack of AR - The 3,6,9 model suffers from a sunken date wheel - The stopwatch second hand sweeps the watch every 30 seconds on the genuine Breitling Bentley GT - Lack of AR - The rehaut is ever so slightly too thick - Date font is different from the genuine SOSF - Sometimes the 12,30,45 markers on the bezel are misaligned - Newer versions are seen with the wrong date font Breitling Blackbird - Pearl sits off centre Chrono Evo - On the earlier models, there was a missing marker after the 10, on the 12o'clock subdial - Earlier models - lack of AR - Ultimate - Wrong date font
  15. It's a great replica! I have decided if mine breaks down, Im going to buy the gen, it is a tank of a watch!
  16. Watch Idiot Savant. Someone that has an eye for the aesthetics of watches. For me, the SMP Chrono iis he one watch I will always return to. It satisfies all my design requirements. When it packs in Il buy the gen.
  17. Nice review Mezzanine! It looks very well built, certainly a dead ringer for the real deal!
