  2. Congrats! Love that first picture!!
  3. With a signature like that, Gio, i read much faster to reach the bottom of your post
  4. Wow... i can fully understand that this takes up too much time. Sorry to hear that some members are that 'agressive'. take enough time for your private life Rob... it's improtant
  5. Mmmmmmm now it get interesting
  6. Looks like you're freezing off your nuts in weather like that! Man... good for a walk, but not a whole day bikeride
  7. Nice watch V!! I guess i'd strap it on a heavy padded black alligator with cream stitching
  8. Exactly my thought
  9. Yep... i already covered that in my post... there's a Chinese copy of the 2892 which might fit the dimensions. I don't have such a movement here however so i can't measure it. I'm pretty sure it must be in one of Ziggy's post or maybe someone else knows it...
  10. well Chief... it's partially your fault it looks so darn handsome... the AR really does the job
  11. Oops... big bad typo So you're saying they are going to build something on data they want from us? I thought the new way of building a replica was to buy a genuine one and copy it. Anyways... it's simple... go to www.iwc.ch and this is what you find: - Inner case: soft iron for protection against magnetic fields - Glass: sapphire, convex, antireflective, resistant against pressure drop - Crown: screwed - Water-resistant: 6 bar (60 m) - Case diameter: 39 mm - Case height: 11.5 mm - Weight: - Pilot's Watch Mark XVI in stainless steel with crocodile leather strap: 68 g - Pilot's Watch Mark XVI in stainless steel with stainless steel bracelet: 122 g And two beautifull pictures The genuine will probably run on a ETA 2892-2 that is improved by IWC. So if they replicate this one they could use a chinese copy of the 2892.
  12. working on it...
  13. Excellent!! Very nice watches... and to be honest the white 1680 is growing on me... I guess it's a flat T-39 ... that is higher at the edges than the superdome.
  14. Nice, but a solid midlink bracelet is completely wrong of course. I can understand you like it to be a good as it gets, in weight as well. Maybe it would help to get a different mid case? I am considering making a no date Sub from my vintage Tudor no date Sub... now i just need a dial, nice and vintage like yours and a correct caseback... Ah well... if you have a caseback of a 5512 or 5513 left...
  15. The Patek 5070 is my favorite watch with this movement. I am still hoping a nice priced used rose gold 5070 will pop up in the sales section soon
  16. Thanx Rich... looks very good without the blue hue!!
  17. Gio... your siggy keep catching my attention!!
  18. Me too... i already have a genuine dial waiting to be transplanted
  19. I'd love one of these... so please keep us informed Karup
  20. That strap matches the DJ perfect!! Congrats with the great combination
  21. No need to know the name of the dealer, Arminvanbuuren But to answer your question, i've had no dealer being verbaly agressive ate me... but i haven't hardly any watch in the past year, hahaha. What i do notice is that they post less on the boards, are less informative about new watches to come out, less talk about how a watch is made, less responsive when i asked a question, etc... looks like they are incredibly busy and it's noticeble...
  22. Good things: - caseback engraving is excellent - crownguard looks perfect - crown is much better than before - dialprint looks good - date and magnification are perfect Downers: - color blue of the dial is a little off - purple AR hue gives it a too purple tint - L SWISS MADE L kiss 6's ass (nice way to put it Lanikai) So alltogether... a new dials ... slightly lighter blue, less purple AR hue ... and it would be perfect. Hope they will improve the L SWISS MADE L on the PAM104 at least!!
  23. Bye Estaban... have a great time/health/happiness... and hope to see you back
  24. Congrats Stac!! I wear my 1665 great white A LOT! It's an excellent watch and fits almost every occasion
  25. And when the makers dicide to rep this fine and elegant watch... please immediately make a decent rep of the Rolex Explorer I as well, while you're at it
