Bought it a little over a year ago from Eddie... and sending it back and forth lasted at least 6 months. So indeed i had it for quite some time... but i started enjoying it after it was serviced properly... and now i am enjoying it to the fullest!! The AR makes the watch spectacular
I also had both my regular Ingenieur and my VCO AR coated and i'm loving the results!!
@Chief... thanx man!
Hi guys
Here are some quick shots i took of my beloved IWC Ingenieur Chronograph. This watch and i had a difficult start as the power reserve was not enough to keep running when it was on my wrist at night, so i had to sent it back and forth to Eddie Lee's service guy in China several times. But in the end the power reserve is excellent, the chrono runs perfect and it's only off by some seconds a day. So patience (and some frustration) payed off and i still thank Eddie for not giving up on this one
So when i was finally convinced that it was running properly i popped out the crystal and sent it over to Chieftang for a double AR coating and while the crystal was gone i was able to buy a new model box for it on the bay.
And here's my baby
Nice watch Stephane! I must admit that untill now i always preferred the PAM196 above the PAM250, but now i see the pixx of the genuine one with spectacular AR, i guess i like them equally. I'm sure it will look great with the double AR
Great present from Santa Claus!! Congrats man
I'd love to hear how you compare the case, crown, crownguard, crystal etc in look and feel... Could you do us a little comparrison? I know the watches are completely different, but i'm mostly interested in the details that cannot be measured ... it's more the "gen" look & feel i'm interested in...
The thing is that this date-set pusher isn't there on the genuine power reserve Panerai. I find that an unlucky choice of the makers.
As for a strap choice i'd go for a Mario Paci 4 (MP4)... i think this will suit this watch really good.
The crystal should have a single sided AR coating... maybe you should ask Chieftang or K2222 if they can do a single sided AR coating.
the link doesn't work, but i searched and found Item number: 140193822637 ... an
ETA 2893-2 with power reserve
I think this is the same movement as the rep... but i don't know if it uses the same soprod module as the replica, or another module and thus a different subdial spacing... a milimeter difference would be too much to fit the dial.
the bezel of the gen is made of tantalium... the rep is stainless steel, so it looks slightly different. But the first impression is that it looks quite good
Hey guys... happy new year to ya all
The NY party i went to was incredible... everyone was dressed to impress and my goodness... so many sexy ladies!! Great music, great friends and loads of champagne
so januari 1st....
How was your NY evening?
Indeed too many flaws on the so-called SSD. I do hope they will improve the watch, but i am afraid i'm gonna have to save a shitlaod of money to get a gen some day!
Very nice!! Posts like this one convinced me to buy a 3717 which is on it's way to me right now. It first i thought it wasn't exiting enough... but i guess it's a classic pilot chrono as good as it gets.
Happy new year T and all my other friends
May i wish you a fine, happy, healthy, exiting and loving year with your friends and loved ones.
See ya guys back on in 2008!
It sucks.
That's the short answer... longer answer is that they mixed up the dial layout and functions of the smaller 39mm version and put it in this larger case... and the larger version dial & functions where not used... so a complete mix-up... drama, money thrown away IMHO... what a shame.
@Archibald... yep.. i'm gonna sent some wishes in that direction tonight at midnight
