  1. First of all... congrats! It's a very nice watch Personally i find it a shame they used the caseback of the UTC pilot watch and not made a caesback for the regular pilot watch. Some movements need to run a week or so before they keep time correct... or settle in more or less. At least that's my experience. But if the watch is still running + or - 7 seconds a day i wouldn't worry to much... it's just a bit more than COSC specs. But if it anyes you any watchmaker could ragulate it.
  2. Well guys, now i'm cofused... i was almost about to pull the trigger on the blue Laureus chrono. I had the genuine in my hands a few weeks ago and it was soooo appealing!! The blue dial which turn almost black under a certain angle is great. But Lysis tells the dial is not like the real deal... and when i look at Lanikai's pictures the dial looks almost black. Could you guys please tell me a bit more on the dial color and how it changes (or not) when looking at it under different angles? I really hope you can clarify this for me and other potential buyers
  3. Thanx! Finally some reference of IWC
  4. Here are some pictures direct from MBW. These are the original MBW Rolex 1665 case set which is shipped with a Singer dial. I think MBW asks around 200 euro for the case + dial. The He valve is functional according to MBW and the tube is at the correct height for a genuine Rolex movement! Also have a look at the inside of the caseback! PS. this post is in no way intended as an advertisement!! Just to show the difference between the cheap and bad copied Cartell-MBW and the genuine MBW. Merely intended to protect potential customers who think they can buy a genuine MBW for almost nothing... sorry guys.
  5. No need for a side by side, mate... just look at the pictures and let's not just believe what a dealer says. Have you guys seen the rehaut on the so called MBW 1665? Indeed... a completely different watch and if that's a 1:1 copy my name is Santa Claus Also the He valve is completely off and the dial print is just fugly. Sorry if i sound agitated, but I am actually quite upset as i thought Angus wouldn't post cartel-like crap ... but now he does. I also assumed people browsing this forum would be more critical about what is being offered and would have jumped at the so-called MBW 1665 posts instantly...
  6. Sounds like a great meeting! It's always nice to meet some fellow forum-ers
  7. I think the Alinghi uses a quartz movement... both subdials have counters to 60 and the date is at to close to the centre of the dial (for a 7750) And personally regret they rep watches that use the 7750 in 3-6-9 layout ...as the date is always recessed, which is incorrect. I prefer 6-9-12 layout watches with 7750... or maybe a good and solid 'normal' watch like a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms!
  8. thanx for all this wise advice
  9. I was just looking at the website of one of the cartell members and saw pictures of his MBW 1665 vintage seadweller. They state it's a copy of the MBW... The first and probably only thing that comes to mind is... "SCAMMERS!!!!!" If that's a copy of an MBW it's been made by a blind lepra patient. The dial... please don't speak of this dial and mention MBW/MBK in the same sentence. The case... hilarious... except when you wanna sell it as MBW What a disgrace... so be sooooo aware of thescamms of the cartell and consider this when spending your hard earned money
  10. thanx for sharing Lanikai... awesome watches and yes... my wishlist is again longer than before your post
  11. post is removed on TZ...
  12. the triple 6 has a sapphire crystal which has a different sized bezel as the plexi crystal oyster watches like the 1665. If you have a triple 6 dial and bezel... get the new superSD and install them in there, drill lugholes and see if someone here is planning to make a better crystal without the etched crown ... et voila
  13. The dial looks great Predfan!! It has the same looks as an old aged gilt dial... excellent IMHO!! Let me know if you don't want to keep it PS. How do you make the bezelinsert grey-ish or faded? Looks great.... do you just use some very fine sanding paper?
  14. Very nice Milgaus!! Congrats and indeed the gen rivitted bracelet makes it complete
  15. Yep... regular mistake in CG modding, but great to see how you worked yours! Congrats again Tribal ... nice watch.. Unfortunately i will have to wait for the REAL super SD as this one has too many flaws for my taste
  16. TRC is online again... sorry for the inconvinience...
  17. to be quite honest... this is the first big bang that i would buy!! It is so much more nice and subtle (as much as a hbb can be)
  18. although i agree with the SOSF being the rep of the year i think some TAG heuer chronos would be great runner-ups!!
  19. Hi guys... for me TRC is offline due to some kind of IPS driver error. Anybody else having the same problem?
  20. When comparing pictures it seems like the fake rubber strap looks slightly different material. The gen rubber strap seems slightly shiny and very well finished... the rep rubber strap seems not as deep black and matte in color...
  21. Darth Porsche... euh Vader Very cool watch this black version
  22. Congrats man!!! I like that watch big time ... if you want to sell it or trade for some nice modded watches, do let me know because i am looking for a 1971 rolex myself... it's my year of birth and since my parents didn't buy me a rolex back than, i guess i have to do it myself But that brings me to the following... which dealer has the best vintage 1675 replica?
  23. I wish you where right but both dealer sites state that it has a matte black dial Keep us posted Deltatahoe
  24. Just checked andrew's and joshua's websites and the PAM252 has been upgraded... but now they changed the blue dial for a black dial  How come they can make such great things and mess up so at such obvious things
  25. Why can't i find any Hublot on trusty's website?
