  1. I tried to avoid this thread because I new that I would have a serious case of rep envy. I am now turning green What can I say, you have one hell of a collection, thanks for sharing Mike
  2. Thanks for the tip If when Im down under and have a creaky ratteling bracelet, I will know what to do, thanks. Mike
  3. Im not seeing any rep site, could someone be so kind? Mike (ps) I got It
  4. Thanks Offshore for the promising news. Im stll a noob and compared to many members here will always be a noob. (novice) That being what It Is I still think about Improvments and what It would take to capture the ever elusive 1.1. I would also like to see this same energy In the movements. One of my all time favorites Is the 7750 and 7751. These are very expensive and very hard to atain. I hear and have also read that valjoux movements have a waiting list that Is quite long. The likes of the big boys from swiss land have to wait over a year or longer and they are only allowed so many movements. I look at my Chinise 7750 In complete awe at times. I think to myself " what If they were to just go a little bit further". Better cq and finishing and perlage work, sanatary conditions, ect. I beleive that this Is the very best time to be a rep enthusiast. When you think about It the possabities are endless. Maybe Im wrong but thats the way I feel. I really think that were on the cusp of comming full circle, from something cheep and made poorly to something spectarular. Thanks for the post Offshore. Not only did It make me think about the 1.1 senario but also the hobby and where It's going as a whole.
  5. Im also looking for Breitling straps or straps that will look good on my Bently and SA. Im looking at watchboys out of Canada and Panatime.com. Good luck and let us know how It go's Mike
  6. I have two Invictas. I have the Pro diver I picked up at ShopNBC for $79.00 and I also have a Lupha diver. There great watches for the money and they are very reliable. I swimm with mine all the time, never a problem. Hard to beat for the price. I hope I dont have any issues with mine because I heard there cs sucks Mike
  7. I think you should try the Super Avenger. Then anything else you wear will seem small. I have a 7 1/2 in wrist and thought that anything over 42mm was to big. The biggest watch I had when I got here was a 42mm. Now I feel anything under 45mm Is small. I just happen to like the look and feel of a big watch; although I dont have big wrists. Like the others have said, give the Nav a try, good luck Mike
  8. Welcome to RWG Rita So what kind of watches do you like? Mike
  9. I agree with Toad, It's a good thing that you have the deployant clasp already, a very nice one at that. Thats a great looking Tag you have there, enjoy Mike
  10. Now thats funny as hell. I wont even try to out due that, should be a sticky Mike
  11. I use any of the old spice line, then a quick spray of AXE SHOCK
  12. Im still fairly new to Breitlings. I have resently purchased a motors T and a SA (blue) that I should have by Friday. From what I can tell both of these reps seem to be very good. As far as the difference between rep and gen, Im not really sure.I am sure that one of the Breitling enthusiast will be by shortly and give you a play by play. I personaly would be very happy to own any one of these two reps, good luck Mike
  13. Well If thats not the dumbest thing i have ever heard. How dare you say that.... Well said and I agree with you 100%. Welcome to RWG Mike
  14. Im on the other side. I have only one three hand non chrono. I have a eleven watches and only one non chron. I will have to work on that Mike
  15. I would have to go with a Frank vila, any Frank Vila. No 6 SuperLigero 5 day Tourbillon would be nice, at $245.000 I'll take two I will use my Urwerk as my beater Mike
  16. Im really obsessive about my watchs and cars. If they are just a little bit dirty or unkempt It really bothers me. I had my whole rear fender repainted because of a small dent you could not see unless you were right on top of It, and even then It was very difficult to see. The guy at the body shop thought I was nuts. Thanks so much for this fantasic tut, I will most defenetely give It a go, nice job Mike
  17. Thats a breitling Seawolf.Nice beefy watch @ 45mm and about 17mm thick. Many feel that it Is the best Breitling rep yet. They go for around $350-375 with a Swiss 2824 Mike
  18. My first rep was Omega PO chrono quartz. I was new to rep watches and thought that It was the greatest watch ever, It looked so dam good to my eye. I could not understand why other members were not as Impressed as I was. That was eight months ago and I use the watch as a beater now. The watch just does not feel right because It's not. I have purchased several automatics and they do feel differant. If Im going to buy a rep I want to have the proper movement In It. When I first began my journey In to reps the movements were not Important, now they are very Important to me. If you ask members to take a look at your watch most likely they will tell you the truth about what they see or dont see. The bad news Is that we are excited about are new watches and really dont want to hear about the flaws. The good news Is that this Is the way we learn about reps and timepieces In general. Dont take It personal. Members are just being honest with you, Is that not what you want? I happen to think your breitling Bently looks very nice. I just purchased the Bently motors T and I really like It. The best advice I was given was to buy what I like and to like what I buy. It's just the longer Im around here the more discriminanting I become. I hope you enjoy your new watch Mike
  19. I just orderd this same watch from Asian7750 for $299.00. It's a great looking watch. I will probably go with the batons dial and a nice Breitling croc strap. The watch I ordered was sent out today, probably will have It by next Thursday or Friday. Good luck with your new watch and thanks for the great pics Mike
  20. This was a very interesting read. Not quite as nice as are Chinese reps but It will have to do Thanks again Mike
