If I recall Francisco had a post or something regarding the day / date change differential. Ah, Here it is. In your case however it does not help understand what changed. Perhaps the day wheel has slipped. Based on the Zigmeister's comments you are better off with how it is now.
I am with Subbie. Gotta be content with 95% or you will kill yourself (and your wallet). For me ends up not being worth it. Of course the hunt is always fun!
@LHOOQ: In truth I wondered the same thing but made no assumptions
Another lover of the outdoors here but afraid I cannot help with your gear list. Everest is a little out of my league. Typically if I can't ride up on two wheels it is too tall or too steep for me Kudos for taking on such a lofty goal and best of luck achieving the summit.
So what watch will you wear? Certainly that piece of gear has already been selected.
When is the target for reaching the summit and what is your schedule for ascent?
An oddity indeed. I was actually thinking about that when I was posting. It does look like a V2 bezel. At first I thought maybe you had a V3 but the dial printing and date wheel is still all V1. Then I thought maybe V1.5 but it usually has the V1 bezel. Perhaps a transitional V1.5 then
Nice donor. Already complete with the 45min counter which is a bonus. Only thing you need is a black on white date wheel. Getting very hard to find now. There is a seller on the bay from AUS that has some although his price has been going up steadily over the past several months.
Keep in mind when I say single piece I mean that they are normally staked together ( not actually one continuous piece ) Good luck with your repair. Hope you are able to get the hands.
That's what I was thinking too. When I saw bare hands at the very start I knew it was going to be bad. Yikes!
I guess maybe he was using the seconds pinion as a kick stand.
Without pictures it is hard to say exactly what you are facing. From the sounds of it your hour and minute hands have been damaged or stretched and the chrono sub dial hands have separated from the tube ( supposed to be one piece ). Add to that I am not sure the movement you purchased can be used to replace the one in your watch. Compatability of the 7750 and the A07.211 not sure.
Kudos for giving it a go. If you can post some pics we can probably help you more. For now at a minimum you need to order a complete hand set.
Very clever. Must have taken a while to come up with the combination of blocks and rotations to get all the desired numbers. I still like these mechanical clocks.
Funny how people have this stuff, not sure what it is and don't bother to find out and just throw it up on the bay. Crazy Good thing there are some genuinely nice people that help them out.
