  1. For your first bike I would definitely stay away from anything over 600cc. 750 tops. Even in the cruiser line. While they may not be the fastest the gobs of torque the larger cruisers have can get you into big trouble really quick. Too often I see new riders go for the big bikes before they have really learned how to ride. It rarely ends well. If you want a naked bike that sits between a sport bike and a cruiser then I would recommend the following: Suzuki SV650 Yamaha FZ6 Both are well mannered but will giddyup when you want. Insurance is quite reasonable. They can be had second hand for not too bad a price. If these are not the style you are looking for there are others out there in either direction.
  2. Nice work. I think the inner track of indices is a little redundant. Perhaps if you substitute the numerals with just markers or something else. I would leave the outer and incorporate the seconds dial like you have a few posts back. One way to make a one-of would be to get your hands on a PAM sandwich dial. Use the backing plate (less lume of course) and paint it white. Then make a waterslide decal of the pattern you end up with as a final design. A bit more work on your end but the cost would be very little.
  3. That is a good question. I know you can get the DG's from ofrei. You may want to search for the Sellita SW200 instead of the clones. I think the quality of these is very good and is direct replacement for the 2824. Not sure on price however. I took a quick look on google to see if I could find a source but no luck. Also tried looking at Ofrei but their site seems down at the moment.
  4. I'm thinking something like this would be even better
  5. Sorry. Should have clarified. Tap 10 = 0.90mm Here is size table for stems. Very handy Tap Table
  6. That is a very nice piece, excellent condition. Agree with the comments on the dial. A little too busy for my. Gorgeous none the less.
  7. Does look nice but $60k seems somewhat over the top.
  8. Interesting indeed. One thing for sure is the gen has some big a$$ pivot jewels.
  9. You are correct. There are two sizes for the 7734 stem. The one you need is a tap 10 IIRC. Ofrei has them for about $6.
  10. Yup. That is one fine specimen. Can't go wrong with Z doing the work.
  11. You will have to come revisit this statement in about 6 months It only gets worse from here Nice pics of a sweet PO. Enjoy!
  12. Looks really good. Those look like belt buckles Nice!
  13. Try pushing from one side while applying back pressure from the other. It's a bit finicky being such a small area but it can work to overcome the initial "break away" of the motion.
  14. Very nice. I actually have the mens version of this at 45mm. Love it.
  15. Nice looking piece but I agree with tx. A non functional feature is kind of a deal killer for me.
  16. Like that TOG red. Looks great!
  17. FYI. Dad is doing just fine on my wrist as I type this
  18. That baby deserves a gen mesh if you can swing it. Again very very nice.
  19. Very nice. I wore my Classic Fusion today that I bought on a whim. I am really starting to get into the Hublot line. Damn! Another brand I am going to have to collect. Guess I'll need another watch box.
  20. What an amazing piece! Too bad for the crappy photos Awesome!
  21. Very nice collection. I am especially biased to the THC's
  22. Me too. There are supposed to be holes through the jewels. The only ones that do not are the cap jewels on the balance. Only if there is more than one hole do I see a problem.
