WOW! Nicely done. Some very clever procedures to get the look you are going for. I am looking forward to seeing the rest and the final result. Thanks for taking the time to put all this together for sharing with us.
I really do not like this date font that they have chosen for the B01 movement. In red makes it even worse. A shame since the rest is gorgeous but that date kills it for me.
That is correct. The V2 is no longer made or available except in the second hand market. What remains now is the V3. It goes by many names but it is as shown in the OP.
That is actually a pretty neat concept. Probably technologically not too far off either. For me I would still choose a traditional watch over this every time. However I can appreciate that some would prefer this, especially the hardcore techies out there.
Nice SOH but I am afraid it is no V2. As expected all new SOH coming from the dealers are V3. Which is essentially a V1 with updated dial print. Still, SOH is a great piece. Enjoy.
My dad sent me this link as he know I am into watches.
Christie's: Important Watches
Some real beauties in there. It will be interesting to see where some of these end up.
What to recommend depends a lot on what she likes. Is she into larger or smaller watches? I can't get my fife to wear anything larger than 33mm. So her favorite is her Omega Constellation followed closely by her Lady Datejust. Both are very well built. The connie takes a real beating too and seems to be holding up well.
I tried some case clamp screws from a 2824 and they were too small. Didn't have anything else on hand to try. If anyone out there with a 7032 can check the screw size it would be much appreciated.
