Shot some stuff with a professional hand/foot model today, had her put on my Sea Dweller for a unique idea. Yeah, it's similar to my Bentley GT shot, but different watch, different model. The diver's extension sure made this one easy to put on her ankle!

So far only compliments, as alluded to in my other post on the matter. Very happy about that.

A Dutchman, an American and a German are entering a bar. Dutchman says, "Bartender, give me a Heineken, please." The American says, "Bartender, give me a Budweiser, please." German guy hesitates, then tells the bartender to get him a peppermint tea. Other blokes, quite amused, ask the German, "So, why did you order peppermint tea?" He replies, "Look guys, if you don't drink beer, I won't either."

Was at the UCLA v WSU game over the weekend, sitting in the good seats (Season tickets). Next to me was a well-used gen DateJust, next to him was a nice SS Sub. The pearl on his shows it's a gen, my SD (rep) is beautiful except for the bezel pearl... In front of him was a nice Tag, down the row was a TT sub, and 12 rows down I saw a guy with a Pam. No idea what model or if it was gen or rep, but couldn't miss that crown guard! Lots of other watches I didn't recognize from the quick glances. What do you think the chances are that gen wearers know what to look for (e.g. bezel pearl) to spot reps, or is it just us?

I thought this'd get more response. I guess I'll just keep all future shots like this to myself. Thanks for looking. She's really awesome, great person, and one of those that shocks you when you see her. I've known her for years but am still taken aback by her looks. And since she was wearing a real men's watch at the time, I had her keep it on for some of the shots. Fun stuff. Nice watch.

Shot pictures of a german model friend and Playmate. Had her wear her gen men's Explorer for a couple of shots in the pool. Still can't believe she wanted to be in with her gen Gucci top as well, but made for nice images. Had to share.

Bentley GT today and over the weekend, was in the middle of the country. Prolly SeaDweller tomorrow.

So far I usually travel with only one at a time. Saves me from having to bring a winder. I'm lazy like that.

White & Nerdy is brilliant, as is the video, parody of an already great song by Chamillionaire, "Ridin'". Check out both videos if you get a chance. Al's lyrics are smart and fun, and he raps better than half of hip-hop. I love that he named the album "Straight Outta Lynwood", an homage to the NWA 1988 album "Straight Outta Compton". For those who don't know, Compton is the epicenter of South Central Los Angeles, Lynwood is just north of it and not much better these days. Al was raised in Lynwood.

When Dane Cook hosted SNL recently, he wore a SS watch with two faces. Perhaps the same as the quackery Oprah wears? (Philip Stein "Teslar" magnetic watch).

YEEEEEEEEEEEAAHH BOYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (In my best Flava Flav voice) But yeah, a diamond bracelet would finish that one out. And perhaps a platinum-and-diamond grille to match?

My watches from Josh (all fully serviced by his watchsmith at the time of purchase) are running within +- 7 seconds a day, depending a little on if they're on wrist or in winder. They keep good time, I usually set them via my computer (synced via internet to proper time) to make sure they're where they need to be that day or week, depending on where I am and where I'm going.

Nice SD, Watcher. Josh's? I have one I'll likely wear tonight to dinner. Wearing just my 5th gen iPod to work in the yard, listening to podcasts.

Ditto, Crystal. Very well said. I got into this because I like watches and had a friend who wanted a sub rep. I didn't, but ended up with a SD rep that I absolutely love. My Breitling rep, too. They are truly marvelously crafted timepieces with amazing detail. They're not 100% perfect to the gens, but the fit and finish is fantastic, they look and feel great on my wrist. It's given me not only knowlege of good watches, but something fascinating to study and starts some really good conversations. And isn't it fun to share those conversations and compliments here?

Over the weekend got another compliment from a designer friend who is really into top brands. He admired my Bentley GT and I handed it to him. He loved the weight and likes Breitlings, we had a nice discussion about them (I've been studying the Breitling AND Breitling for Bentley sites a lot since getting the watch from Josh).

I'm pretty sure this has been covered before, but my searches don't yield how to do this. I have a SD rep, Josh's "perfect" model. LOVE it. The HE valve I can live with. The bezel insert has a flat pearl. I want to get a gen insert. Can I replace this myself (I'm a butterfingered amateur)? What will I need and how is it done? TIA
